From Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby-red. Primary, almost grapey aroma of blackberry, along with strong oak spices, particularly sandalwood. Brisk and juicy but in an easygoing and ultimately supple style, with good cut to its berry and spice flavors. Finishes with good spicy persistence." (Jan/Feb '08) A blend of old-vine malbec and cabernet sauvignon form the Lunlunta and Lujan areas of Mendoza, Argentina that takes its name from Marshall Paris Goulart, a famous Brazilian revolutionary whose granddaughter found the old title to these Mendoza vineyards and is working to restore them. The wine is well-balanced with deep color and soft, lush berry flavors.
