Bucklin may have made their reputation on high-quality zins from Sonoma Valley, but they find their way toward legendary with this delicious, distinctive gewürztraminer from Sonoma's Compagni Portis Vineyard. The dry-farmed, field blend, old vine gewürz also includes a handful of Trousseau Gris (Grey Riesling) vines, which add to the wine's already expressive nose. Aromas of tropical fruit, rose blossoms and apricot lead the way to a generous palate with tropical fruit and gewürz spice. Lovely acidity with a tingle of sweetness on the finish. Only 598 cases produced.
