Certified organic by Stellar and biodynamic by Demeter, this branch of the Jim Fetzer's "vinegarden" in Clear Lake is a lively place with fruit, nut and olive trees, herbs and perennial plants to help maintain biodiversity, sheep to keep cover crops in check and chickens to snap up pests. Whole cluster pressed and with four months of lees contact, K&L's Trey Beffa says, "The wine has lots of dimension, but is still crisp and lively, with hints of grass, melon and white peach." Earth-friendly, delicious and easy on the pocketbook; enjoy this wine with salads, light pastas and seafood or on its own as a warm-weather refresher.
Below is a listing of the wine review scores we frequently reference in our notes. While these sources remain an excellent source of information, we always recommend that you trust your own palate. Scores in these publications often represent the personal taste of an individual critic, which may not always coincide with your own.
