St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur 750ml

SKU #1030139 96-100 points Wine Enthusiast

*Classic/Highest Recommendation* The seductive bouquet offers wonderfully floral, fruity, guava- and melon-like fragrances of elderflower, becoming richly pear- and quince-like following aeration time. The palate entry is soft and firm; the midpalate is integrated, harmonious and exquisitely balanced between alcohol level, sweetness, acidity and floral impact. A perfect liqueur. (4/ 2008)

K&L Notes

Double Gold Medal at the 2007 and 2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, plus *Five Stars/Highest Recommendation* from Paul Pacult of the Spirit Journal and Wine Enthusiast! St. Germain is an artisanal French liqueur made from hand-picked elderflower blossoms. The starry white flowers are gathered by 40-50 men pedaling the Alpen French countryside picking the flowers that will be distilled into this intoxicating nectar. Blended with a small amount of citrus and natural cane sugar to accentuate the subtle flavor of the elderflowers, the resulting liqueur is delicate and balanced with fresh floral aromas and flavors and hints of pear, apricot and grapefruit zest. Try St-Germain's signature cocktail - 2 shots of Champagne, 1 1/4 shots of St-Germain and 2 shots of sparkling water - and then get creative, pairing it with gin, vodka or white wine. This stuff is liquid deliciousness. You can put in anything and it will make it taste wonderful. Seriously, you could put this in muddy water and it would still make it great. Floral, light and bright, with an elegance with no equal. Try it in sparkling wine. Yummy!

Drinking St. Germain is like drinking liquid flowers! Subtle, sweet and captivating. Who knew that hand-picked elderflowers from the French Alps could be so lovely? Delicious with Gran Cava champagne with a curly twist of orange, even more amazing with soda on the rocks! I served St. Germain with soda and fresh watermelon juice at a springtime cocktail party, and could hardly keep up with the demand! My absolute favorite spirit for spring and summer!

I love it to bits! A little drop of its magic will transform a simple bubbly into the most amazing Champagne cocktail. Thumbs up!

The St.Germain Elderflower liqueur is my "secret" ingredient, to the extra layer of flavor and complexity in my cocktails. Not only it is heaven to sip in straight/on the rock, but it complements any vodka, tequila or Champagne perfectly ! This is a must have item in your bar...

A first-of-its-kind elderflower liqueur. Wild alpine blossoms are hand-harvested and macerated. Then, through a proprietary fermentation/distillation process the delicate aromatics are released from this wonderful gem, which has a supple but never syrupy texture.

This liqueur has been so much fun the last couple months. Our favorite has been 2 shots white wine, 2 shots club soda, 1 shot St Germaine over ice with a lime wedge. Any kind of white wine seems to work though Lillet Blanc is exceedingly good.

It also makes a wonderful vodka drink with equal parts St Germain, vodka, and limoncello shaken and served in a martini glass. There is a drink served at the Spoonbar in Healdsburg called the Corpse Reviver that uses St Germain. Check that out.
