Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé Champagne

SKU #1021493

90 points Wine Spectator: "A smoky version, exhibiting light berry and watermelon notes. Quite firm, as much from the chalky sensation as from the lively acidity. Despite its lightness, this shows intensity and length. Drink now through 2011." (11/09) The just released rosé from Clicquot. Made using grapes from 50 to 60 different villages, the structure is based on Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label's traditional blend, which is 50 to 55% pinot noir, 15% to 20% pinot meunier and 28% to 33% chardonnay. The blend includes a high percentage of "reserve wines" originating from several harvests of the past. It is completed with approximately 12% of red wine using black grapes from the village of Bouzy.
