This medium to full bodied wine exhibits a layered bouquet of butter, toffee, brown sugar, sweet cranberry, baked berries, vanilla and cocoa powder. Its silky texture features toasty notes and a mid-palate of cherry, blackberry, blueberry and mocha flavors. The 2001 vintage is a balanced wine boasting a long, silky, buttery finish accented by flavors of brown sugar, cocoa and latte. Cellaring for ten years or more will enhance its character. Aged in 85% new and 15% one-year-old heavily-toasted French oak barrels for 17 months, the 2001 Andrus Reserve was bottled without fining or filtration in June 2003.
