Wine Enthusiast
Napa veteran Cathy Corison has crafted a blended wine of beauty and power. Compared to her Kronos bottling, this Cab is for immediate consumption, although it should hold well for some years. It’s lush and gentle in tannins, with upfront flavors of blackberries, cocoa and green olives, and possesses great balance and charm.

Bright ruby-red. High-pitched nose reveals cassis, violet and licorice...Brisk, juicy and youthfully tight, but possesses good density and sweetness. Flavors of dark berries, boysenberry, licorice, mint and leather. This should age slowly and well.

Wine & Spirits
Grown on the western benchlands around Rutherford, this distinctive wine takes time to show itself. At first, the black scents of reduction mask the detail, but as they dissipate with air, spices emerge, as does a fine red cherry flavor. If you open the bottle soon, decant it and serve with grilled quail. It should be drinking best from 2009 through '12.

Spicy, grapey and floral scents lead to similar flavors in a ripe, complex style, with attractive black cherry, plum and raspberry flavors that are well-focused and persistent on the finish, turning elegant and polished. Drink now through 2012.
