K&L Notes

This balanced, elegant Champagne is composed of 30% Chardonnay, 60% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier. The grapes are all from the Gonet family's estate, spread from the southernmost premier cru of Vertus to the valley of the Marne. It is made of 70% 2001 and 30% reserve wine from 2000. It is a gorgeous wine to toast with: toasty, vibrant and flavorful. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne Buyer)

Great all around Champagne to toast any occasion. Phillipe Gonnet has used a typical cuvee here balancing the richness and body of Pinot Noir with the bright fruit and aromatics of Chardonnay. The remainder of Pinot Munier adds some mineral notes and intrigue to a very drinkable toasty rich wine. Cheers!

Yet another excellent value from our DI Champagne program. Touch of toast, tree fruit, pleasing minerality, nice acidity and a classic mouthfeel. Heck of a Champagne for 35 bucks. CM

Crisp, slighty toasty with rich fruit, this is one solid bottle of Champagne for a great price. Very approachable to the spectrum of sparkling wine drinkers and a great bottle to toast with as our buyer mentions.

A truly brilliant Champagne at an amazing price that will blow you away! It has the perfect balance of elegance and richness. With just a touch of toast and flinty minerality to give it a terroir driven mouth feel. It has great acid and a crisp finish that leaves your mouth watering for more! An amazing crowd pleaser as well being very approachable and friendly.

Good true Champagne for under 30 dollars is something that is not easily found. This bright, bread doughy, crisp champagne is one of my favorite direct imports. Mr. Westby has done his usual fantastic job of finding a gem for us to enjoy. This sparkler will be the toast of any toast.

This is a perfect introduction to small house Champagne. It is done is a big house style, but with more precision and a lot cleaner result. A great Champagne for a diverse group of drinkers.....

A wonderful bottle of bubbly for those of you who like a richer, slightly yeasty style. Beautiful balance between the fruit, toast and yeast. Golden apple fruit, brioche, bread dough and creme fraiche. A great choice for main courses such as pork roast, broiled chicken and white fish. Better in quality than many other Champagnes costing $50.00+. Chantal Gonet has done it again!

Most of the fruit from this Champagne comes from the Valley of the Marnes. The bouquet on this gem reminds me of Thanksgiving, with hints of pumpkin spice, minerals and hazelnuts. It's good and rich on the palate with a creamy finish and a fine bead. Another stellar DI deal that Gary lined up for us here at K&L. Wow!

Pale golden color with millions of tiny bubbles. A medium-full bodied champagne with floral, hazelnut & citrus notes followed by a creamy, toasty finish. I have to say this is one solid glass of bubbles!
