Bright lemon-yellow color. Orange peel, spices and mint on the rather restrained nose. Very fat, rich and dense but light on its feet. A strong peachy flavor is enlivened by nervy acidity. Intriguingly tactile chardonnay that's quite unevolved today but is extremely promising. My Burgundy light went on as soon as I put this in my mouth. (6/ 2004)
The 2001 Chardonnay Hudson E-Block exhibits a light gold color as well as scents of butter, caramel, and hazelnuts. Made in an exuberant, medium to full-bodied style, with loads of fruit, outstanding purity, and a long, lusty finish... (12/ 2003)
Deep, rich and concentrated, with a complex range of ripe pear, citrus, fresh earth, herb and sage flavors that are well-focused and persistent, leading to a long, supple, harmonious aftertaste. (11/ 2004)
