One thing I learned in my twenty years of bar tending is. The better the ingredients, the better the drink. So, if you are making a Manhattan or one of those crazy whiskey drinks from your local mixologist. Keep the Carpano on hand. It make's any cocktail, ten thousand times better! You will not find a better vermouth!

If you have never tasted this product you must. If you think you know what vermouth is think again; this will absolutely blow you away. Inordiately complex, so full of spice, balanced...it is really good. Try it on the rocks with a twist and a splash, straight up or in a Manhattan.

Absolutely beautiful. I was recommended this by someone at the Hollywood store over a year ago and it has completely transformed my view of vermouth from a sidekick to possibly playing a lead role as well. It is so complex that I can drink it on it's own (and often do!). I have compared this to both Cocchi Vermouth di Torino and Quady Vya Sweet and it stands head and shoulders above the others.

Try it in my favorite Manhattan variation -

2 parts Rye
1 part Carpano Antica
2 dashes Fee Brothers Old Fashion Aromatic Bitters

Benedictine rinse
flamed orange peel over glass
Luxardo Maraschino Cherry garnish

enjoy! =)

This vermouth elevates a Manhattan to the next level - throw in a couple Luxardo maraschino cherries and life is good
