89+ points Pierre Rovani writing for the Wine Advocate: "...displays limestone and mineral aromas that lead to a light and medium-bodied character. Exhibiting outstanding depth of fruit, this soft wine is lush, fat, and possesses a long, sultry finish. Anticipated maturity 2009-2022." (02/04) By the time you hear the praises of Haag's wines from the wine press they will be gone. This I can promise. I say this because not only are his wines a notch more electric and charged this vintage but because again they are paradigmatic examples of the Classic Mosel style, light in color, cool, elegant and serene with grace and definition rarely achieved by many others. "Deep pit fruit and nut oil richness are combined here with enlivening acids and a firm slate sounding board. The texture is subtle and the feel light even though one senses in the coiled energy of the wine its enormous extract. The flavors linger with appropriate fineness but also outstanding persistence. Potential 2 stars." David Schildknecht, International Wine Cellar
