Bread dough, pencil shavings, candied citrus and honey flavors mark this expressive Champagne, which has a chalky underpinning and a long, nutty finish. (11/ 2009)
What a deal! The last time we had this, it was a lot more expensive and not all Grand Cru! This is a wonderful non-vintage all Chardonnay Champagne from Comte Audoin Dampierre. It is very pretty, polished Champagne and it has lots of verve for such an amiable wine. It is hazelnutty and leesy but not at all oxidative. Yum! (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)
