Perrier Jouët "Grand Brut" Champagne

SKU #100018 90 points Wine Enthusiast

This creamy wine has a distinct mature and toasty character to balance the crisp white fruits and lively acidity. It is on the sweeter end of Brut, which adds richness to this attractive nonvintage. (12/ 2010)

90 points Wine Spectator

Smoky and balanced, this offers a subnote of salted butter to the hints of baked peach, chamomile and anise, with a moderate, creamy finish. Drink now. (6/ 2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Perrier-Jouet’s NV Grand Brut is a very pleasant, mid-weight Champagne that shows lovely complexity. Suggestions of smoke, roasted nuts and light honey add character to a generous core of ripe yellow fruit. The wine offers excellent overall balance and a poised finish. This is Lot L2070809871, disgorged November 17, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012. (12/ 2009)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Bright yellow-gold. Lemon zest, quinine and herbs on the nose and palate. Dry and a bit edgy, with good clarity and back-end lift. Finishes on a zesty citrus note, with good clarity and bite. (12/ 2011)

Just plain excellent every time. This is my go-to $30ish NV Champagne, because it pairs well with so many foods and whoever I serve it to loves it too.
