91 points Wine Spectator: "A viscous style, with fine supporting acidity, creating a contrast that sets the stage for honey, dough and hazelnut notes. Medium-bodied, with a brisk mineral aftertaste. Drink now through 2010." (12/06) 91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Formerly known as Crémant de Cramant (a name now banned because it refers to sparkling wines from Burgundy, Alsace, the Loire and Limoux), Mumm continues to make this blanc de blancs, which is famed for its lightness. It is great to see they are also giving the wine some bottle age, which brings out delicious, toasty, nutty characters." (12/1/2005) A rare cuvée made since 1882, the Mumm De Cramant has only been available for sale since 1960, this wine is made from chardonnay grown around Cramant, a village on the Côte des Blancs. This wine is a pale lemon hue, with nearly weightless bubbles that yield a gentle, creamy sparkle. Aromas of white flowers, fresh fruit and lemon dominate the nose, which continue onto the palate, followed by tangy grapefruit and kumquat notes.
