A fantastic, food-friendly Direct Import! On the nose, this wine has lots of dark fruit and rose aromas framed by hints of earth and tar. On the palate, the wine has surprisingly good weight for a Rosso and lovely Sangiovese fruit that explodes in the mouth. The wine has great fruit and acid balance and is very well made and complete. It has a bit of grip on the finish that should resolve over the next couple of years. I was very impressed with this wine and will no doubt be drinking it often over the next year whenever we serve up any Italian-themed fare.
