Great wines at very good prices. That is what you get from Foxglove. This is a side project from Bob and Jim Varner, who bring us the great wines from the Varner and Neely labels. The Foxglove Cabernet is amazingly well balanced. Beautiful black and blue fruits with nicely integrated tannins and just a hint of fig and earth. A lot of wine for $13.99. Just tasted. Lovely, fleshy and straightforward. This wine may still be in its youth (the Kathryn Kennedy Cabs often take years to hit maturity), but the tannins are supple and the ripe Cabernet fruit forms lovely cherry nuances.
