2009 Alban "Seymour’s Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Alban "Seymour’s Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (96RP, 95AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More angular and edgy, yet still more approachable than normal for this cuvee, the 2009 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard has serious amounts of mineral-tinged dark fruits, licorice, smoked herbs and chocolate as well a firm, structured, full-bodied profile on the palate. This wine’s big bones, ripe tannin and bright acidity all point to a long life. Give it 3-4 years in the cellar and enjoy though 2024+. (JD)" (08/2013)

Wine Spectator: "More restrained and refined than the 2007, this is nonetheless graceful and complex, with a core of mineral, melted black licorice, currant, blackberry, roasted coffee and cedary oak notes. Full-bodied, ending with a long, deep, persistent finish. Drink now through 2021. " (11/2011)

Full, powerful, polished, with wonderfully dense tannins. The finish is long, long, long. This is amazing, I love the freshness and length. Very classy and elegant, wonderful stuff. I am wow'd. Great length, it's muscular with wonderful definition. This will be even more of a dream in 2015. " (02/2011)

2005 Futo "OV" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Futo "OV" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend. Winemaker's notes: "A strong compliment to the FUTO blend, the 2005 OV displays dark brooding aromas of black cherry, blackberry and toasty oak. The mouthfeel is rich and thick. Flavors focus on brambly fruit with smoky minerality. Finish is long and savory with a good grip of tannin. Drink now or cellar, both options are there. The name is our nod to Oakford Vineyards, which once occupied part of the Futo estate. For two decades Oakford grew and produced wines of character that were true to the property. OV acknowledges this history, the wines and the people behind both."

2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 James Berry Vineyard (52% Grenache, 31% Mourvedre, and 17% Syrah) saw some of its Grenache aged in the concrete eggs that are now catching on among some of the top producers on California’s Central Coast. With strong minerality from the limestone soil, this exuberant, fleshy, full-bodied wine is already drinking well. (I believe it was actually bottled just a day or two before my visit, which makes its performance that much more remarkable.) Dense purple, with sweet notes of barbecue smoke and meats as well as roasted herbs, extravagant black cherry, black currant, and blackberry fruit are all present in this wine, but there is plenty of underlying structure that comes from both the minerality and the Mourvedre component. Pure, full-bodied, but again, impressively elegant and nuanced, this is a tour de force and another prodigious example of

2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard CCS is Clone 4 from another block, and always seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. It’s aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou barrels. The good news is there are 520 cases of it. Just a prodigious wine, this spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon is inky bluish/purple with a gorgeous nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, a touch of background toast and graphite. It has a very full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel and a skyscraper-like finish. It is fabulously open, sexy and a total thrill to smell and taste. This should continue to drink well for two decades. (RP)" (10/2014)

2006 Sine Qua Non "The Raven" Series Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Sine Qua Non "The Raven" Series Grenache (98RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah, largely from the 11 Confessions Vineyard, with a small amount from Bien Nacido, spent 21 months in barrel. It is really strutting its stuff now, and showing even better than my original note predicted in August of 2009. The wine has loads of meat, licorice, smoke, charcoal and graphite, as well as huge peppery, blackberry and black cherry notes. Full-bodied, with great acidity, nicely integrated tannin, an admirable mouthfeel and tremendous length, this killer Grenache is still young and probably 3-5 years away from prime time drinking." Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 96RP, 96ST, 94WE, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More European in style than some of its siblings, the 2008 exhibits good acidity, more noticeable tannin (but it is extremely young), and plenty of crushed rock, espresso roast and licorice characteristics intermixed with a volcanic minerality. Full-bodied, ripe and opulent, with a closed, formidable personality, it should be at its apogee between 2018 and 2035. 96+ (RP)" (06/2012)

2004 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Aged 20 months in 72% new French oak, this blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc comes from a great vineyard on the valley floor in Oakville, just south of Rudd Estate and Plumpjack. The wine’s dense ruby/purple color is followed by a beautiful, Pauillac-like (think Pontet Canet or Mouton), ethereal perfume of creme de cassis, or as Michael Broadbent used to say, 'celestial black currants,' full body, a velvety texture, fine tannins, a multidimensional mouthfeel, and a terrific finish. While there were no real surprises tasting this wine, I was somewhat intrigued by just how youthful the 2004 Screaming Eagle is showing. I had expected it to reveal slightly more evolution. I thought the 13% Merlot in the blend would push the evolution more quickly. The finish lasts for a full minute. As it has been in just about every vintage, the 200

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Sine Qua Non "The Thrill of Stamp Collecting" Syrah (95RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Syrah The Thrill Of impresses for its poise and underlying energy. Dark fruit, spices, licorice and violets sit on a core of firm tannin as this powerful wine opens up in the glass. Today, The Thrill OfYcomes across as very, very young. The intensity of the fruit and the oak are dominant at present. In another few years the wine should be spectacular. The Thrill Of... is 90% Syrah, 6% Grenache and 4% Viognier, all destemmed and mostly from estate owned vineyards. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (AG)" (08/2012)

Black cherries, mint, iron and crushed rocks come together in this dramatic, generous Pinot. The fleshiness of the fruit nearly covers the tannins, but they are lurking beneath the wine’s considerable fleshiness. This attractive, elegant, medium to full-bodied 2011 is more evolved and fruit-forward than the 2009 or the perfect 2010. The 2011 will drink well for 8-12 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Bedrock Wine Company "Hudson Vineyard South-T'n'S Blocks" Carneros Syrah (94RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Syrah Hudson T'n'S comes across as dark and brooding. Smoke, game, tar, scorched earth, bacon fat and black cherries are some of the many notes that emerge from this dramatic, large-scaled wine. Firm, yet well-integrated tannins frame a chewy finish layered with intense, delineated fruit. This is a highly promising wine that needs time. It’s a massive powerhouse, explosive in black currant, cherry pie, plum, chocolate, anise and cedar flavors that are detailed and precise. This is their 30th anniversary bottling, and it’s worthy of the tradition. Ultrarich and smooth, with a mouthfeel that’s pure velvet, it’s fairly thick in tannins now, suggesting cellaring. It bursts from the glass with jammy, opulent fruit and a big, full-bodied personality. Blue and black fruit, mint, licorice and sweet spices wrap around the finish. 1993 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I reported last year, the 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is a spectacular wine...The Eisele Vineyard 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the half dozen or so candidates for wine of the vintage. I have tasted it three times out of bottle, once rating it as high as 98, but never less than 96. It is a mind-boggling Cabernet Sauvignon that is remarkably well-balanced for its size and intensity. The color is an opaque purple, and the nose offers up smoky, chocolatey, blackcurrant, licorice, and mineral scents. On the palate, the wine reveals fabulous density, concentration, sweetness of fruit as well as tannin, and a 30-40 second finish. Although there is a high percentage of new oak, this wine has completely soaked it up, a testament to its extract and concentration of fruit. While the wine displays a certain precociousness, unusual for a 1993, there is

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another wine with explosive aromas of pepper, spice box, lavender, sweet cherries and currants and a decidedly Provencal personality is the 2005 Pandora, a combination of 92% Grenache and 8% Syrah. This is a deep, distinctive red with stunning aromatics as well as loads of personality. It should be at its peak over the next 7-8 years. The wines of John and Lorraine Alban are about as spectacular as one can find anywhere in the world. Alban is committed to aging his big Syrahs longer in barrel, believing it will concentrate the wines and add additional complexity. (RP)" (06/2008)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Sine Qua Non "The Raven" Series Syrah (96RP, 95WS, 94ST). Offering a dense purple color, gorgeous fruit, and a sweet perfume of graphite, blackberries, blueberries, charcoal, licorice, tar, and new oak, it is a dense, full-bodied, well-endowed, beautifully layered, pure Syrah that should drink well for 10-15 years." 2009 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Simply put, the 2009 James Berry Vineyard is one of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted from California, or anywhere for that matter. Bright, floral aromatics lead to expressive red fruit in this impossibly elegant, dazzling wine. A melange of rose petals, mint and licorice follows as the James Berry shows off its breathtaking clarity and finesse. Fine-grained, chalky tannins frame the exceptional finish. Frankly, I am surprised this is the first wine of the tasting. Where does one go from here? (AG) " (08/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Paradise Hills Vineyard Proprietary Red (60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot) exhibits abundant notes of espresso, chocolate, creme de cassis, blackberry, forest floor and graphite. Full-bodied, dense and rich, it is just beginning to reveal some secondary nuances as well as complexity. 2009 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 94ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Deep Time is another perfect wine. Quintessential elegance, seductiveness and ripeness are all present in this full-bodied, gorgeously rich wine along with intense minerality and abundant, corpulent, cassis, mulberry and boysenberry fruit. It takes a wild ride on the palate with incredible intensity yet a surreal finesse and focus that belie the wine’s compelling concentration and intensity. I’ll cut off my notes now since so few people will ever get a chance to try this beauty, but if you do, it takes you deep into the essence of Cabernet Sauvignon as well as the complicated think tank of Woodbridge’s brain. Anticipated maturity: now-2030. (RP)" (10/2013)

2007 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JS, 100RP, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Scarecrow's inky/purple-colored 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a prodigious effort. It reveals a liqueur of crushed rocks intermixed with a smorgasbord of spring flower, blueberry, creme de cassis, and assorted blue, black, and red fruit characteristics. It also possesses extraordinary concentration, but what sets it apart is the fragrant aromatics combined with uncommon purity and elegance for such a full-bodied, massively concentrated wine. Its perfect balance suggests it can be drunk at a relatively young age, but it should easily evolve over 30-35 years. Congratulations to all involved!" (12/2009)

2009 Sine Qua Non "This Is Not An Exit" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Sine Qua Non "This Is Not An Exit" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (97RP, 95ST, 95WS, 94AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An extended barrel-aged release, the 2009 Syrah This Is Not An Exit is 100% from the Santa Rita Hills Eleven Confessions Vineyard and checks in as a blend of 80% Syrah, 12% Grenache, 7% Roussanne and 1% Viognier that saw 41.5 months in 65% new French oak. Slightly exotic, with notions of kirsch, flower oil, smoked meats, licorice and graphite, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, loads of fruit and a blockbuster finish. More approachable than the 2010 extended barrel age Syrah, this beauty will still have 15+ years of longevity. Drink now-2024. (JD)" (08/2013)

2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" Proprietary White
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" Proprietary White (97RP, 94AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same league, the 2012 In The Abstract is a classic Sine Qua Non white blend of 37% Chardonnay, 31% Roussanne, 16% Petite Manseng and 16% Viognier. Coming from roughly equal parts Bien Nacido, Cumulus and Eleven Confessions vineyard, it spent just under 19 months in 48% used barrels (1-4 years old), 27% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs. It sports a slightly darker color than the Chardonnay and offers up incredible notes of caramelized peaches, poached apples, white flowers and crushed rock that flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, decadent, yet classy and graceful feel on the palate. It’s a classic effort that doesn’t pull any punches, yet also never seems hot, heavy or puts a foot wrong. Enjoy this beauty over the coming decade or more. (JD)" (08/2014)

Deeply pitched aromas of black raspberry, violet, gunflint, tobacco, tar and cola. Lush and sweet... deeper and more concentrated than the "regular" James Berry bottling but less evolved. Finishes with superb breadth and viscosity, but has the ripe acids-not to mention the rocky minerality-to maintain its shape and balance. Wonderfully deep wine." (10/2006)

Alcohol is notable in the slight heat and glyceriney sweetness, but those elements are welcome parts of the wine's personality. Drink now." (09/11) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Zinfandel East Bench is a big, burly wine loaded with dark cherries, flowers, tobacco and sweet herbs, all of which come together on a medium-bodied frame. It shows lovely length and personality, although some rough edges remain. With air, though, some of those angular contours begin to soften. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019."
