2009 DuMol "Chloe" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) (Previously $160)

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chardonnay Chloe Ritchie Vineyard bursts onto the palate with superb intensity and richness. Ripe apricots, flowers, spices and butterscotch flow from this powerful, authoritative Chardonnay. The weight and richness of these old-vine parcels informs the dense, full-bodied finish. The Chloe is made from parcels in Ritchie, Searby and Lorenzo, with vineyards planted in the 1970s. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2021. (AG)" (2/2012)93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Vivid gold. Powerful aromas of orchard and pit fruits, honey and lemon curd, with a spicy topnote. 2013 Belle Glos "Las Alturas" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir (1.5L)

93 points Wine Spectator: "Spares no expense, with lavish smoke and black licorice-scented oak framing a rich core of dark berry, anise, boysenberry and savory herb notes. Full-blown and expressive through a persistent, mouthcoating finish." (10/2014) K&L Notes: Winery notes: "Located in one of the highest-plantable sites in the southern portion of the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County known as the "Mission District." 2013 Ridge "Geyserville" Alexander Valley Zinfandel (1.5L)

92-94 points Antonio Galloni: "Ridge's 2013 Zinfandel Geyserville is deep, rich and explosive. A much darker wine than the 2012, the 2013 hits the palate with masses of dark red/black fruit followed by iron, smoke and savory herbs. The intensity of fruit nearly covers the tannins that lurk beneath. There is lot to look forward to in this highly promising, engaging Geyserville. The blend is 73% Zinfandel, 17% Carignane, 8% Petite Sirah, 1% Alicante Bouschet and 1% Mataro (Mourvèdre). 2012 Cakebread Napa Valley Chardonnay (1.5L)

Jancis Robinson: "Expressive and ripe on the nose, with all the typical stuffing of Napa Chardonnay. Aromatically spiced oak giving clove and something a bit peppery. Plenty of alcoholic warmth. (RH)" (3/2015) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The attractive 2012 Chardonnay reminded me of Chardonnays from the 1970s and early 1980s. The wine was aged in French oak for eight months, but you would never know that from the aromatics and flavors. With delicate, crisp citrus, this fresh, lively, Chablis-like effort reveals a hint of minerality. The 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. As always the wine goes to 100% new American oak barrels for aging. From the winery: "Our 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a seamless wine that expresses bright, fresh fruit characters from an unusually cool California vintage. 2012 Duckhorn Napa Valley Merlot (1.5L)

This Merlot-dominated blend reminds us why Duckhorn earned its reputation as one of California's preminent sources for Merlot. The 2012 vintage, with its long hang time, was perfect for making a rich, seamless, structured wine. Winemaker notes: "From its aromas of Santa Rosa plum, creme de cassis, violet and Herbes de Provence to its enticing flavors of olallieberry, sticky toffee and vanilla bean, this is a complex and compelling expression of Napa Valley Merlot."

2012 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) Top Pick!
2012 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)

99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Flirting with perfection, the 2012 Dominus is composed of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Five thousand cases were produced, a relatively modest amount from this large vineyard’s big crop. Christian Moueix told me that there was plenty of heat in 2012, but there were no excessive hot spells that can plague Napa Valley vintners during the growing season and harvest. This wine’s opaque plum/purple color is accompanied by a beautiful nose of sweet crème de cassis, a touch of background oak (only 40% new oak is used), spice box ...Read More »

2013 Rombauer Carneros Chardonnay (1.5L)

93 points Wine Spectator: "A creamy-textured, charming style that’s easy to drink yet is deceptively complex and layered, with a mix of vanilla-scented oak and vibrant peach, nectarine, honeydew and apricot flavors. Long on the finish. Drink now." (5/2015) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The attractive, sexy 2013 Chardonnay reveals ripe fruit, tangerine oil and citrus blossom notes, medium body, a fresh style, and a delicate hint of wood. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. It is a sleeper selection. (RP)" (10/2014) K&L Notes: It's back! True, Rombauer's Chardonnay needs to take its own sweet time, fattening up for 10 months in ... 2012 DuMol Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L)

91 points Antonio Galloni: "A gorgeous entry-level wine, DuMOL's 2012 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is laced with sweet red berries, rose petals, mint and cinnamon. The flavors are bright, focused and lifted throughout. The 2012 doesn't quite have the exuberance of most Russian River Pinots, and will therefore appeal to readers who appreciate a more restrained style of Russian River Pinot. I was deeply impressed with the wines I tasted at DuMol this year. Stony minerality plays on the palate throughout, buoying complex components of jasmine and a lingering, more concentrated finish of honey. With plenty of structure and stuffing, it’ll only get better over time, through about 2018." It is a sexy, sensual, broad, flavorful Cabernet lacking serious depth, but offering attractive fruit, plenty of ripeness, and a big wallop of American oak. Drink it over the next decade." A six-vineyard blend, it is composed primarily of the Old Wente clone as well as Mt. Eden and a handful of others. Nearly 50% comes from the Dutton Vineyard and the rest from the Heintz, DuMOL Estate, Lorenzo, Ritchie and a few others. The 2011 is aromatic and soft throughout, which makes it an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. As always, the Cabernet Sauvignon is made from bench land vineyards in St. Helena and Rutherford. Cathy Corison's 2011s are quite attractive. A prodigious effort, it rivals some of the fabulous past vintages such as 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2007. 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Insignia (a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc) is spectacular. I have had the wine a half-dozen or more times, and it is unquestionably opulent, sexy, flamboyant, explosively rich, concentrated, and a thrill to drink. Already gorgeous, it promises to evolve gracefully for two decades or more. The color is a healthy saturated dark purple. Has muscle and weight without coming off as heavy. The crop level in 2002 was shrunk by the heat, noted Tony Soter, who told me that this harvest was particularly tricky for cabernet sauvignon. With a little air, the 2009 can be enjoyed young, but it is best cellared for at least a few years, which will allow some of the baby fat to drop off. The blend is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot and 1% Malbec." (6/2013)93 points James Suckling: "Aromas of orange peel, currants, olives and subtle rosemary. Juicy, spicy and tight but not hard, with a pungent core of acidity and an impression of briary, earthy minerality giving the wine plenty of personality. This firmly tannic cabernet smells a bit raw in the way of a young barrel sample. "Not the sun-baked fruit of 2009," noted assistant winemaker Crafton. "It was hard to get superripeness in 2010."" The color is a healthy dark ruby/purple and the wine shows lots of cassis. In spite of the restrained aromatics, the palate is rich, full-bodied, substantial and persuasive. A Mercury Head dime is actually embedded in the bottle’s glass and represents the front label. If that’s not original enough, the wine itself is fabulous. A stylish wine with plenty of tannin to support it, but the dominant characteristics are fruit and suppleness." (7/1990) K&L Notes: This was made during the reign of Connecticut spirits company Heublein, which is not remembered by Inglenook faithfuls as the winery's better days. 1998 S. Anderson "Richard Chambers Vineyard" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)

2011 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (Previously $1050)

98 points James Suckling: "*Top 100 Wines of 2014* Compelling aromas of black fruits such as brambleberries, plus blueberries and fresh mushrooms. Asphalt, too. Forest fruits. The tannins just melt into the wine as you taste it. Aristocratic and regal in style and length. A powdery, fascinating texture. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now, but better in 2017." (5/2014)96 points Antonio Galloni: "Araujo has long made some of the more restrained Cabernets in Napa Valley. 2001 David Arthur "Elevation 1147" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)

96 points Wine Spectator: "Ultraripe Cabernet, with thick, concentrated blackberry, wild berry and currant, with a touch of kirsch; a remarkably rich and expressive young wine capturing deliciously ripe fruit and supported by firm, fine-grain tannins that bode well for cellaring. Best from 2005 through 2015." (4/2004)

2005 Gemstone "Facets" Yountville Proprietary Red (1.5L)

90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Facets is elegant, austere by the standards of California, and almost a dead-ringer for a Medoc from Bordeaux. The wine is dark ruby/purple-tinged with a floral, restrained nose of sweet cherries and soil and undertones of underbrush and barrique. The wine is medium-bodied, pretty, pure, and represents an attractive, French-styled blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot. It should drink nicely for 10-12 years." (12/2007)
