2000 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L)
Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2000 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L) (100JS, 100WS, 99WE, 98RP, 96ST). Wine Spectator: " *Collectibles* Since taking over this first-growth estate in 1994, director Charles Chevallier has taken the wines from strength to strength. He is now the most capable winemaker of the top estates in the Médoc. This is the best young Lafite I have tasted. A triumph. Subtle aromas of currants, leather, tobacco and cedar-a classic cigar box nose, with plenty of fruit. It's full-bodied, with silky, ripe tannins. This is a wine that completely coats your palate, but caresses it at the same time. Best after 2012." (01/2003)

Rita Hills Pinot Noir (1.5L) (95WE, 90ST) and 1-bottle of 2008 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (1.5L) (92WE, 92WS, 90ST). Of the 2007 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (1.5L),Wine Enthusiast writes: "A fabulously rich and approachable Pinot Noir that offers everything now, yet will also age. The considerable tannins will protect it in the cellar for a good 6-8 years, but it's so fresh and vibrant in cherries, red currants and oak-inspired red licorice that it's hard not to drink it now. Hard to exaggerate the deliciousness factor." (03/2010)

2005 Brane-Cantenac, Margaux (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Brane-Cantenac, Margaux (1.5L) (95WE, 94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker: "This is the finest Brane-Cantenac I have tasted in over thirty years. Unusually perfumed and already approachable (atypical for most 2005 Medocs), it reveals a deep plum/purple color as well as a stunningly flamboyant bouquet of smoked herbs, licorice, camphor, black cherries, currants, and notions of plums and blackberries. Elegant with silky tannin and medium body, it is clearly a classic statement on the Margaux appellation. While not a powerhouse, it is beautifully concentrated, stunningly balanced, and surprisingly forward."

Bid on this magnum of 2005 Lascombes, Margaux (1.5L) (95RP, 94W&S, 93WS, (89-92ST), 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " A gorgeous example of Lascombes, the 2005, a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, continues the remarkable turn-around in quality that began five years ago. A stunningly opulent wine with a dense purple color, the 2005 possesses a beautiful perfume of spring flowers, blueberries, blackberries, creosote, and graphite, full body, silky but noticeable tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and a stunning, 45+-second finish. This is a brilliant, modern-styled Margaux that should age for 30-35 years" (04/2008)

Intense, mineral-driven aromas evoke iodine, lemon zest, wet stone and white flowers. 1997 Jospeh Phelps "Backus" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1997 Jospeh Phelps "Backus" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hillside overlooking the Oakville District, Phelps produces small quantities of their single vineyard Backus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, which is aged in 100% new French Taransaud oak. The sensational 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Backus Vineyard is a muscular, highly-extracted, full-bodied effort that requires 3-4 years of cellaring. Although not very approachable, it displays great fruit intensity in its huge, thick, viscous flavors redolent with black currants, new saddle leather, spice box, and toasty oak. Long, powerful, and intense, it exhibits both sweet tannin and immense concentration. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2025." (12/2000)

2005 Schrader "Old Sparky" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Schrader "Old Sparky" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Sparky (only available in magnums) is the highest in alcohol (14.8%) and, again, was aged in 100% new Darnajou barrels. This is just magnificent and at age ten, tasting like it was four to five years of age. Of course, tasting from magnum contributed somewhat to that, but it’s a great, great example of the Schrader’s favorite cuvée, hence the name. It is predominantly made from Clone 6, with small amounts of Clones 4 and 337. Like all these wines, it has an inky purple color, with notes of licorice, forest floor, graphite, cedar wood and creme de cassis and new saddle leather. Voluptuously textured, expansive, savory and full-bodied, with super-sweet tannins and a finish that goes on for close to a minute, this is a prodigious wine and one of the superstars of the vintage. Look for it to drink well for another 30+ years."

Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2004 Latour, Pauillac (1.5L) (97WE, 95RP, 95WS, 94ST, 93JS). Wine Enthusiast: "There are tannins, structure and power, but also supreme elegance. The 2004 acidity comes through in the sweet cassis flavors, supported at the back by dry tannins. Currently, the wine is closed up, losing some of its fresh fruit, but this is a moment in its slow evolution towards a classic Latour. " (06/2007)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2007 Blankiet "Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 95ST, 92JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Paradise Hills Vineyard Proprietary Red (60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot) exhibits abundant notes of espresso, chocolate, creme de cassis, blackberry, forest floor and graphite. Full-bodied, dense and rich, it is just beginning to reveal some secondary nuances as well as complexity. 1995 Clark Claudon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC)
Bid on this magnum of 1995 Clark Claudon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 93RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This limited production (300 cases) wine made from a vineyard on the eastern side of Howell Mountain, this brilliantly made Cabernet suggests this winery knows what to do with top quality fruit. While the 1995 will be hard to find, readers who are interested in profound California Cabernet Sauvignons should seek out future releases. This opaque purple-colored wine boasts knock-out aromatics of smoke, charcoal, blackcurrants, lead pencil, minerals, and high quality French oak. Impressive on the palate, with a classy richness married to well-integrated wood, acidity, and tannin, this is a full-bodied, fabulously rich, expressive, impeccably-balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. 1988 Calon-Ségur, St-Estèphe (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1988 Calon-Ségur, St-Estèphe (1.5L) (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1988 Calon-Segur outshines both wines from the more heralded vintages of 1989 and 1990. Deeply colored, superbly balanced, rich and full bodied, it appears to be a worthy candidate for another 15-20 years of longevity. It is a classic example of this chateau's wine - cedary, very fragrant, with plenty of sweet red and black currant fruit. I should also note that it is surprisingly powerful for the vintage. It gets my nod as the finest Calon-Segur between 1982 and 1995. (RP)" (01/1998)

Delivers a full-bodied palate, with racy tannins and lots of flavor, from tar to spices to leather. A little tight, and so enjoyable now, but better in a few years still.—'89/'99 Bordeaux blind retrospective (2009). (Web-2010)"

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Schrader "Old Sparky" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another compelling, perfect wine is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard Old Sparky. This is Clone 4 and Clone 6, as well as Clone 337, blended together from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, aged in 100% new Darnajou barrels. For whatever reason, this wine seems to show more chocolate, espresso roast, barbecue smoke, dense blackberry and blueberry fruit and enormous body with not a touch of heaviness or astringency. This is a fabulous offering. It should drink well for 20-25 years. (RP)" (10/2014)

2006 Domaine Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2006 Domaine Louis Jadot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (1.5L) (96ST, 95RP, 94BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, full red. Vibrant but brooding nose shows a medicinal austerity to the pungent aromas of raspberry, flowers and botanical herbs. Penetrating, high-pitched and brilliantly delineated, with uncanny energy and lift to the red berry, floral and mineral flavors. This saturates every square millimeter of the palate, then explodes with perfume on the expanding aftertaste. The overall impression is of pure soil-driven energy in a rather uncompromising style, but when I drank the second half of my bottle two days later with food, it showed a deep cherry flavor and compelling sweetness. Splendid Clos de Beze. (ST)" (03/2009)

2008 Lillian Central Coast Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2008 Lillian Central Coast Syrah (1.5L) (94ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Glass-staining purple. Deeply pitched aromas of black and blue fruits, incense, olive tapenade and fruitcake, with smoke and violet notes gaining power with air. Rich and broad but almost shockingly energetic, offering sweet, liqueur-like blackberry and boysenberry flavors and exotic spice and floral pastille qualities. Intense and focused on the extremely long finish, which strongly repeats the floral and spice notes. I had the chance to retaste the 2007 Lillian this fall, and while it appears to have closed down a bit since this time last year, it is still a complex, compelling and extremely alluring wine. As rich as it is, it doesn't come off as overblown or overtly decadent." (12/2011)

Full-bodied, with polished velvety tannins, plenty of fruit and a cedary aftertaste. Tight and compacted. This is better than the 2000 Mouton. It's a baby 1986 Mouton. Solid and very, very fine. Persists for a long time on the palate. Best after 2009." (03/2004)
