Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Kistler "Vine Hill" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((94-96RP), 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Hints of ripe pears, lemon butter, tangerines, and crushed rocks emerge from the 2004 Chardonnay Vine Hill Vineyard, an elegant yet authoritatively flavored effort with a striking minerality, zesty acidity, and a spectacular finish. The good news is that there are 2,700 cases of this cuvee. (RP)" (12/2005)

2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 95AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay East Side (1,000 cases produced) comes from a vineyard owned by Ulises Valdez and planted with the Montrachet clone. It is the rockiest site in the Aubert portfolio. Amazingly, it sees 100% new oak, but you would never know that from smelling or tasting the wine. Copious aromas of wet rocks, almond paste, honeysuckle, pineapple and white peach are followed by a full-bodied, stunningly rich yet crisp, vibrant, zesty Chardonnay that should drink well for a minimum of 10 years. 2000 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95AG, 92ST, 90RP). Antonio Galloni: "Do you want the good news or the bad news? Well, Ridge's 2000 Monte Bello is still not ready to drink. Huge, rich and voluptuous, but backed up be serious structure, the 2000 is still a very, very young wine. Readers who own the 2000 should be thrilled. With time in the glass, the 2000 starts to open up a little bit aromatically, but the tannins remain imposing. Hints of tobacco, iron, smoke, savory herbs, leather and licorice all add nuance on the close. This dramatic, brooding Monte Bello will likely drink well for another three decades. In 2000, Montebello is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. " (07/2013)

2013 Peter Michael "La Carriere" Knights Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Peter Michael "La Carriere" Knights Valley Chardonnay ((92-96RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A smaller crop than normal because of a 20-30% loss of fruit from wind damage explains the production of the 2013 Chardonnay La Carrière. However, there are still nearly 2,000 cases of the 2013 (as opposed to 2,510 of the 2012), which exhibits lots of powdered mineral, honeysuckle, and orange marmalade characteristics, a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, crisp acidity and impressive purity. Drink now-2023....Peter Michael Winery may be the best-run winery of its size for world-class quality. (RP)" (12/2014)

2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96WS, 93AG, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection exhibits an opaque purple color, slightly more toasty oak in the aromatics, and explosive richness on the attack, mid-palate and length. The nose is slightly more restrained than in the regular bottling, but there is no doubting the Special Selection is a cut or two above the Napa bottling when it hits the palate. Extraordinary purity of fruit, creme de cassis, licorice and incense all emerge from this full-bodied, iconic classic. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 25+ years. (RP)" (10/2013)

Bid on this magnum of 2010 Rhys "Alpine Vinyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (1.5L) (94ST, 93RP, 91BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark ruby. Exotic, intensely perfumed black raspberry and cherry aromas are complemented by cola, star anise and licorice. Juicy, impressively precise dark fruit flavors are lifted by tangy acidity and a slow-building blood orange quality. At once supple and lithe, finishing with outstanding energy and an array of dark berry and floral nuances." (05/2012)

Wine & Spirits: " *Two Stars* Other varietals may add their voices to this very rich wine, and Cabernet Sauvignon, in particular, brings a firm streak of tannin, but the wine is very much Zinfandel at its heart and is rife with very deep blackberry fruit and vanilla. Full and fleshy in feel, if still a bit astringent on the back end, it is beginning to hint at complexity to come and deserves to be left alone for some three or four more years." (05/2008)

2003 Cardinale Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Cardinale Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Winemaker Chris Carpenter produced 760 cases of this blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot from four sources, a vineyard on Howell Mountain called Keyes, Veeder Peak, To-Kalon and Stags Leap. One of the Jackson family’s top Bordeaux-styled efforts year in and year out, the superb 2003 Cardinale is performing even better than I remember, having put on weight and filled out. It exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with sweet kirsch, black currant, Christmas fruitcake, cedarwood and forest floor notes. Deep, full-bodied and voluptuously textured with sweet tannins still in evidence, it can be drunk over the next 15 years. (RP) " (06/2013)

2005 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Proprietary Red (96RP, 95CG, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Proprietary Red is significantly better than what I tasted last year, although I certainly gave it a high score. This wine has fleshed out beautifully. The final blend (84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec) has a deep purple color, a beautifully sweet nose of blackberries and cassis intermixed with some meatiness, smoke, and a touch of pain grille as well as notes of espresso and licorice. Full-bodied, rich, with decent acidity, excellent delineation, and moderately high tannin, this is a beauty that should evolve for 25-30+ years It is no wimpish wine at 15.2% natural alcohol, but that is buried beneath a cascade of gorgeous fruit and glycerin. This wine should be cruising along brilliantly in 2030+." (12/2007)

1997 Fisher "Lamb Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Fisher "Lamb Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The awesome opaque purple-colored 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Lamb Vineyard exhibits a fabulous nose of lead pencil, coffee, minerals, black currants, and licorice. The wine's massive richness, full body, and super-intense, concentrated fruit make for a spectacular, unctuously-textured, backward wine. As it sat in the glass, some of the mountain blueberry notes came forward. This Cabernet requires 4-5 years of cellaring, and should keep for 25-30 years ... at the minimum." (01/2000)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94WE, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is a beautiful wine, although more recent vintages may ultimately prove to be even better, particularly the 2007. This blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, from one of Napa’s prestigious sites on the valley floor tucked behind the town of St. Helena, has a dense blue/purple color and a beautifully sweet nose of spring flowers intermixed with raspberry jam, blueberries and black currants. Some licorice and subtle oak are followed by a quintessentially elegant yet substantial wine with sweet tannins, medium to full body and a seamless texture. Drinkable already, the wine will continue to offer the more elegant, complex, evolved style of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon produced in 2001 for at least another 15-20 years. (RP)" (06/2011)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2008 Blankiet "Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (95RP, 94ST, 91JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 82.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and the rest tiny dollops of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, the 2008 Paradise Hills Vineyard Proprietary Red has added considerable richness, weight, texture, nuance and complexity over the last year. Aromas of chocolate, espresso, blackberries, black currants and charcoal/burning embers leads to a full-bodied, expressive, rich wine that is nearly as compelling as the 2007. Dense, full-bodied and already drinkable, it should evolve for 20+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)

Blackberries, cassis, leather, cedar and tobacco are woven together beautifully in this nuanced Cabernet Sauvignon. The essence of crushed rocks, violets and licorice wrap around the insistent finish. Sweet floral notes add layers of aromatic brightness on the close. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Harris Estate "Treva's Vineyared" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 89ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The strongest 2006 cuvee is the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Treva’s Vineyard. It reveals a dense purple color along with more upfront fruit than its two 2006 brethren, and cedar-infused black currant flavors revealing a scorched earth note in the background. This opulent, fleshy 2006 has more in common with a 2007 than the general muscle-laden character of most 2006s. Stunningly rich and fruit-forward, it is low in acidity, but riper with sweeter tannins than its peers. Drink it now or cellar it for twenty years. " (08/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Maybach Family "Amoenus" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus, which I previously tasted from barrel when it was a lot more open, has shut down completely (as a lot of 2009s seem to be doing). Full-bodied and rich, it reveals notes of damp earth, blackberries and creme de cassis as well as a distinctive terroir character. Although there are elevated tannins, they seem relatively sweet and not the least astringent. Nevertheless, this cuvee has gone into a firm, closed state and several years of bottle age is recommended. It should keep for 15-25 years. (RP)" (10/2013)

Zinfandel, Syrah, Petit Sirah and Mourvedre are planted in separate plots but co-fermented. Layers of dark fruit meld into flowers, mint, sweet spices, menthol, eucalyptus and plums, with marvelous density and harmony. This shows superb aromatic complexity and tons of nuance to match its absolutely striking personality. It is a dazzling effort, especially for a young vineyard in just its third leaf. 1997 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1997 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97WS, 95WE, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An inky/plum/purple color is accompanied by a stunning bouquet of violets, charcoal, creme de cassis and a hint of toast. Prodigious when it hits the palate with a full-bodied expansiveness, there is not a hard edge to be found in the 1997, only velvety tannins, compelling depth and fruit intensity, and stunning purity. It is a perfect expression of Napa viticulture and wine that should continue to age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (11/2013)

2009 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (98RP, 97AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Thorevilos displays a stunningly blue/purple color along with an exceptional nose of blueberry and blackberry liqueur intermixed with espresso, white chocolate and violets. With unbelievable intensity, a great, full-bodied mouthfeel, stunning purity, a subtle hint of wood, but no hard edges, this is one 2009 that does not have that broodingly tannic structure that is common in this vintage. This sensational effort can be drunk early on or cellared for another three decades. (RP)" (10/2013)

2004 Sine Qua Non "Poker Face" Central Coast Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Sine Qua Non "Poker Face" Central Coast Syrah (97AG, 97RP, 97ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting off the Syrah-based wines, the 2004 Poker Face (Syrah) is aging beautifully. A blend of 96% Syrah, 2.5% Mourvedre and 1.5% Viognier (from the Eleven Confessions, White Hawk, Alban, Bien Nacido, and Alta Mesa vineyards) that was aged in 80% new French oak, it offers up a perfumed, fresh bouquet of sweet blackberry liqueur, creme de cassis, spring flowers and licorice that gives way to a full-bodied, seamless, gorgeously textured feel on the palate. Rich and decadent, it has notable, yet beautifully integrated acidity and stays remarkably fresh, detailed and even elegant. It still needs a lengthy decant to shine, and will continue to thrill over the coming decade or so. (JD)" (07/2014)

Of the 2008 Rivers-Marie "Summa Old Vines" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Medium red. Red fruits, licorice and spicy oak lifted by orange zest, minerals, mint and a whiff of rhubarb. Densely packed and plump, with a breadth of texture that belies its modest alcohol level. Boasts excellent red berry energy and sap; there's a crushed fruit quality here that reminded me of Chambolle. The long, rising finish is sweet but quite firm, with plenty of fruit tannins to support the 100% new oak treatment. This fascinating and satisfying wine made the Occidental Vineyard

It possesses fresh acidity, stunning purity, a long, expansive mouthfeel, terrific equilibrium, and the oak is completely concealed by the layers of fruit. Sweet red berries, mint, raspberries, violets and lavender emerge from the glass in a silky, polished wine that is all about grace. Even though Cabernet Sauvignon plays a greater role in the 2010 than the 2011, the 2010 is incredibly sweet, refined and polished. In 2010 Second Flight is power and finesse. " (11/2013)

Of the 2009 Ridge "Klein" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Ridge’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Klein wraps around the palate with dark red cherries, anise, flowers and grilled herbs. This is an attractive, fleshy Cabernet with plenty of vibrant fruit. Interestingly, the Klein Cabernet shows quite a bit more varietal nuance than the Merlot, which is also from Jimsomare ranch. Compared to the Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, the Klein has more structure and less immediate appeal, although that won’t be much of an issue in the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2029. Black fruits, licorice, gun metal and minerals on the nose, along with a hint of tobacco leaf. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is a glorious example of elegance combined with power, purity and richness. A compelling wine in all senses, it reveals a haunting bouquet of acacia flowers, raspberries, blueberries, black currants, graphite and pen ink. The sweetness of the tannins and medium to full-bodied, extraordinarily poised and breathtaking mouthfeel that builds incrementally is all about nobility and balance. It is an honor to taste this special wine. Drink it over the next 20-25 years. As I have always said, if there is a Chateau Margaux to be found in Napa Valley, it is Beth and Mary Novak’s iconic Spottswoode winery, situated on the back streets of St. Helena. (RP)" (06/2012)

Of the 2007 Copain "Kiser En Haut" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Deep red. Powerful aromas of red berries and cherry skin are complicated by anise and dried rose nuances. Nervy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show impressive depth, with silky tannins giving shape to the wine. A tangy note of blood orange comes up with air and carries through the long, impressively energetic finish. Guthrie told me that the pH is 3.28, which is extremely low for a New World Pinot and similar to some of the most energetic versions from New Zealand." (05/2009)

Dark black cherries, plums, graphite, mint, wild herbs and licorice are woven together in this gorgeous, finely sculpted wine. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The outrageously sumptuous, complex 2007 Pinot Noir Garys’ Vineyard is a compelling example of Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Ten to twelve percent whole clusters were used during fermentation, and the wine was aged in 50% new oak. Sumptuous aromas of kirsch, black raspberries, fresh mushrooms, and forest floor are very Burgundian as well as intense.
