2008 EnRoute "Les Pommiers" Russian River Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 EnRoute "Les Pommiers" Russian River Pinot Noir (93WE). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a very rich, ripe, flamboyant Pinot, made in the lush California style. It’s flashy in complex tiers of raspberries, cherries, red currants, licorice, cocoa and cinnamon spice, yet is silky and dry. The fruit comes from Sonoma Coast, Green Valley and the Middle Reach. An impressive followup to the inaugural ’07, and a bottling to watch. " (09/2010)

1999 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93WS). Wine Spectator: "Simply delicious at a great price from a famous old vineyard north of St. Helena. A stylish wine that's ripe, rich and supple, beautifully focused on concentrated black cherry, black currant and roasted herb flavors. The fruit flavors keep coming, along with nicely integrated toasty oak and round tannins. Delicious drinking now, but will hold for several years." (10/2002)

2007 Lucia "Garys' Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Lucia "Garys' Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah (95RP, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dense purple-colored 2007 Syrah Garys’ Vineyard exhibits a gorgeous perfume of boysenberries, blueberries, blackberries, charcoal, camphor, and spring flowers. It reveals full-bodied power along with great elegance and freshness, good acidity, and super-rich fruit that is neither heavy nor overbearing. While it will not last as long as a great French Hermitage or Cote Rotie, it will offer sensational drinking over the next decade. Two prodigious Syrahs from the Pisoni family, both of these wines are made with approximately one-third whole clusters. (RP)" (09/2009)

1964 Brane-Cantenac, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1964 Brane-Cantenac, Margaux. Belonging to the Lurton family since 1920, Chateau Brane-Cantenac owes its fame to an exceptional soil of deep "graves" from the quaternary era. Brane Cantenac's well drained gravel vineyards stress the vines, forcing deep roots and producing small berries that further concentrate the expression of this unique terroir. Long recognized as one of the premier vineyards in the Bordeaux, Brane Cantenac has produces an elegant and yet powerful wine capable of improving over many years.

1969 Chateau de la Gardine Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this bottle of 1969 Chateau de la Gardine Chateauneuf-du-Pape. According to Robert Parker: "A decidedly modern take on Chateauneuf du Pape, but wine built for long-term aging is the rule of thumb from this estate tucked away in the very western reaches of Chateauneuf du Pape. I have cellared their Cuvee des Generations as far back as 1978. It’s a wine that does behave more like a Bordeaux than many Chateauneuf du Papes, requiring a good decade of cellaring, and it may be one of the few wines that takes that long to shed some tannin. Of course it sees aging in new oak barrels, as La Gardine was one of the first to use new oak for its Chateauneuf du Pape, and while the wine can be somewhat internationally styled and oaky in its youth, the wood does get absorbed as the wine ages, and after a decade there is no doubt it is a southern Rhone wine with plenty of Provencal typicity in it." 1995 Clark Claudon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC)
Bid on this magnum of 1995 Clark Claudon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 93RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This limited production (300 cases) wine made from a vineyard on the eastern side of Howell Mountain, this brilliantly made Cabernet suggests this winery knows what to do with top quality fruit. While the 1995 will be hard to find, readers who are interested in profound California Cabernet Sauvignons should seek out future releases. This opaque purple-colored wine boasts knock-out aromatics of smoke, charcoal, blackcurrants, lead pencil, minerals, and high quality French oak. Impressive on the palate, with a classy richness married to well-integrated wood, acidity, and tannin, this is a full-bodied, fabulously rich, expressive, impeccably-balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. Anticipated maturity: now-2015." (08/1998)

1996 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Pauillac (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A strong case can be made that this is the finest Duhart produced since the 1982. The color is a saturated dark ruby/purple. The bouquet offers aromas of blackberry fruit intermixed with licorice, minerals, and dried herbs. Rich and intense, with considerable finesse, medium to full body, and outstanding concentration and purity, this should be a reasonably priced wine. It reflects the increased attention Lafite's administrator, Charles Chevalier, has been giving this nearby estate. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020. (RP)" (04/1999)
