Of the 2012 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is a beautiful wine that comes from four vineyards, Gap’s Crown, Griffin’s Lair, Terra de Promissio and Walala. It has a deep ruby/semi-opaque color that is followed by a youthful, rich and concentrated wine offering classic dark cherries, plum, licorice, ground herbs and baking-spice-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, layered and structured, it opens up beautifully with air, has seamlessly integrated fruit, tannin and alcohol, and stays classy and nicely focused on the finish. Exotic, intensely perfumed black raspberry and cherry aromas are complemented by cola, star anise and licorice. Juicy, impressively precise dark fruit flavors are lifted by tangy acidity and a slow-building blood orange quality. At once supple and lithe, finishing with outstanding energy and an array of dark berry and floral nuances." (05/2012)

2006 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend ((95-96RP), 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Bordeaux-styled reds begin with the 2006 Camaspelo. It is made up of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. The already complex perfume reveals mineral, graphite, creme de cassis, and black cherry. In the mouth it offers a lovely combination of power and elegance, along with very ripe tannins, leading to a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. Give it 3-4 years of additional cellaring and drink it through 2021. (JM)" (10/2009)

2009 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Sonoma County Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Sonoma County Chardonnay (95ST, 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Hazy gold. High-pitched aromas of citrus zest, white flowers and quince, with deeper notes of toasty lees and honey adding power. Densely packed lemon curd and orchard fruit flavors are underscored by a zesty mineral quality and show impressive precision. The minerality dominates the long, chewy, finely etched finish, which leaves a sexy floral note behind. This should age slowly; Nic Morlet told me that he left just one cluster of grapes per chardonnay shoot in 2009 and that almost no sulfur was used to make this wine." (06/2011)

Of the 2001 Torbreck "Run Rig" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The youngest Run Rig, the 2001, should equal the 1998 as it is almost a clone aromatically, texturally, and flavor-wise, just much younger. This opaque purple-colored beauty should flirt with perfection over the next 10-15 years. Torbreck’s flagship wine, the Run Rig, is made from 40- to 120-year-old Shiraz vines with some co-fermented Viognier (usually around 3%), tips the scales between 14-15% alcohol, and is aged 30 months in French oak. Foresty notes, spring flowers, black raspberry, black currants, sweet cherry, and sassafras all jump from the glass. 2011 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Merlot
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Merlot (94AG, 91WE). Antonio Galloni: "One of the most beautiful wines of the year, the 2011 Merlot is endowed with tremendous energy, much of it because of the high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and a reliance of fruit from mountain sites rather than the valley floor, which simply proves just how great this overlooked vintage is in the right spots. Graphite, smoke, tar, licorice and plum notes meld into the finish. This is a knockout wine from Pahlmeyer. The 2011 will drink well early but it has more than enough depth to drink well for a number of years. The blend is 76% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. In 2011, the Merlot came from hillside parcels only. (AG)" (11/2013)

Of the 2002 Arrowood "Reserve Speciale" Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Made from the estate’s finest fruit and aged 23 or more months in a combination of French and American oak, it comes from multiple sources in Sonoma, including the Monte Rosso Vineyard (now owned by Gallo). A wine of great stature and richness, it boasts an inky/ruby/purple color along with a stunning bouquet of loamy, dusty soil, lead pencil shavings, creme de cassis, kirsch liqueur, licorice and barrique smells. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Cardinale is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot, of which 62% came from Napa and 38% from Sonoma. Just under 3,000 cases were produced. It is also a top rank wine, and a star of the vintage. A saturated purple color is followed by licorice, cedar, fruit cake, and black currant aromas. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "At the winery, I rated the 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate one point below what I gave it in the blind tasting. Nevertheless, my notes on both tastings are nearly identical. This is another winery where the 1995 may be as strong as the 1994. The color is an opaque purple. The wine is full-bodied and powerful, with classic notes of cassis intermixed with loamy soil scents, underbrush, and spice. There is massive body and elevated, but sweet tannin that is well-integrated with the wine's other components, a blockbuster mid-palate, and a finish that lasts for 30+ seconds. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Fisher "Coach Insignia" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (93CG, 93RP, 92WS, 91ST, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Coach Insignia is a great example of an under-the-radar Cabernet Sauvignon that offers very good value. Moreover, it has another decade of drinkability ahead of it. Composed of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc from the Napa Valley holdings of Fred Fisher and family, this stunner offers a dense ruby/purple color along with a big, sweet bouquet of creme de cassis, licorice and a touch of lead pencil shavings. This velvety textured, opulent, full-bodied beauty (“Body by Fisher”) is luxurious, long and satisfying on both a hedonistic and intellectual level. This is a beauty to drink over the next decade." (04/2008)

2005 La Dauphine, Fronsac
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2005 La Dauphine, Fronsac (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It’s amazing how good this wine has become since the property was sold by the Jean-Pierre Moueix firm to Jean Halley. The outstanding, sexy, full-bodied 2005 is a 5,000-case blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. With beautiful purity, symmetry, and power as well as elegance, it is a fresh, full, soft Fronsac with sensational concentration and depth. It can be drunk now or cellared for 10-15 years." 1996 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (95RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot reveals a powerful core of red and black fruits, dusty, loamy soil, lavender and a hint of toast. I would not describe it as elegant, but rather, it is a big, backstrapping, Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine that should continue to drink well for 15 or more years. (RP)" (11/2013)

Of the 2005 Lascombes, Margaux,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A gorgeous example of Lascombes, the 2005, a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, continues the remarkable turn-around in quality that began five years ago. A stunningly opulent wine with a dense purple color, the 2005 possesses a beautiful perfume of spring flowers, blueberries, blackberries, creosote, and graphite, full body, silky but noticeable tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and a stunning, 45+-second finish. This is a brilliant, modern-styled Margaux that should age for 30-35 years." (04/2008)

2009 Les Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe (94RP, 93JS, 93WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos actually has more Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend than the grand vin (69% versus 65%) in addition to mostly Merlot and a small quantity of Petit Verdot. As powerful as the Cos in terms of alcoholic clout (14.5%), the full-bodied, round, generous Les Pagodes de Cos exhibits lots of creme de cassis and floral notes intermixed with hints of wood/barrique and spice. Juicy, succulent and remarkably fresh and well-delineated, it merits considerable attention from consumers. It should drink well for 15-20 years. Oddly enough, the second wine is superior to many vintages of Cos in the 1960s 1970s and 1980s! (RP)" (02/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Lokoya Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon . Wine Spectator: "A firm, tight, compact wine in need of cellaring, as the tannic strength dominates the earthy currant fruit in a powerful way. It slowly unfolds to reveal a rich core of flavors, but this is a wine that requires patience. Best from 2006 through 2016." (12/2003)

2009 Lewelling "Wight Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Lewelling "Wight Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Wight Vineyard is a huge wine bursting with dark red fruit, flowers and sweet spices. The 2009 needs quite a bit of bottle age to shed its baby fat, but it is impressive, even at this early stage. Firm yet silky tannins frame the textured, generous finish. This seamless, highly expressive wine should drink well for at least a handful of years. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. (AG)" (12/2011)

Full and very dense, with lots of beautiful fruit and super velvety tannins. This is really long and caressing, with intense structure. A gorgeous wine. Muscular and powerful. Made for the long term. 1998 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1998 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I have noted in the past, Togni holds back 100 cases of each vintage to be released at age ten. Although 1998 was a challenging vintage in California, this 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate has evolved into a beautiful wine. If you want to throw a California Cabernet into a blind tasting of first and second-growth Bordeaux, this is the wine to choose. A dead-ringer for a top-class Pauillac, it offers leafy, cedary, licorice, red and black currant, and roasted herb aromas. In the mouth, the Bordeaux-like austerity continues with noticeable tannin as well as a slightly dry finish. (RP)" (12/2008)

1995 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (96RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What sumptuous pleasures await those who purchase either the 1996 or 1995 Pichon Lalande. It is hard to choose a favorite, although the 1995 is a smoother, more immediately sexy and accessible wine. It is an exquisite example of Pichon-Lalande with the Merlot component giving the wine a coffee/chocolatey/cherry component to go along with the Cabernet Sauvignon's and Cabernet Franc's complex blackberry/cassis fruit. The wine possesses an opaque black/ruby/purple color, and sexy, flamboyant aromatics of pain grille, black fruits, and cedar. Exquisite on the palate, this full-bodied, layered, multidimensional wine should prove to be one of the vintage's most extraordinary success stories. (RP)" (02/1998)

2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sporting a vibrant ruby, semi-opaque color, the 2010 James Berry Vineyard is the most tight, backward version of this cuvee that I can recall. A blend of 52% Grenache, 26% Mourvedre, and 22% Syrah, it has a decidedly savory bouquet of blackberry liqueur, kirsch, violets, bouquet garni, ground pepper, and graphite. Full-bodied and layered on the palate, with brilliant mid-palate concentration, superb freshness, and masses of tannin, this brilliant Rhone blend from Paso Robles will stand toe-to-toe with the best wines out there, but it is not for those seeking instant gratification and will require 4-5 years of bottle age. In 2010, the Grenache component was aged in a combination of concrete tank and oak puncheons, and this shows in both the aromatics and texture, with less obvious sweetness and more freshness. It will evolve gracefully for two decades

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (100JS, 100RP, 100WS, 98AG, 97ST). Wine Spectator: "What a gorgeous, seductive and beautiful wine, as always. I can't get over the perfumed aromas of subtle milk chocolate, cedar and sweet tobacco. Full-bodied, yet so refined and silky, lasting for minutes on the palate. Everything is in just the right proportion. This is a wine that will go on forever. I love it. One of my great loves in the wine world." (01/2010)

2007 Sine Qua Non "Body & Soul" Roussanne-Viognier
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Body & Soul" Roussanne-Viognier (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The new cuvee of white wine, the 2007 Body and Soul, a 475-case blend of 71% Roussanne and 29% Viognier, is primarily from the 11 Confessions Vineyard. Krankl has dropped Chardonnay from the blend, and the resulting wine is a beacon for what can be achieved by blending two white Rhone varietals. About one-third new French oak is used. Honeysuckle, orange blossom, lemon oil, tropical fruit, and floral notes are found in this unctuously-textured white. Full-bodied and dry, with good underlying minerality, crispness, and an alluring freshness, it is impossible to know how such a wine will age. I just finished my last bottle of the 2001 Albino, which is aging fabulously well, and seems capable of lasting another 4-5 years. These wines are so spectacularly perfumed and intense in their youth that they are hard to resist. (RP)" (08/2009)

2003 Kistler "Dutton Ranch" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 10-bottle lot of 2003 Kistler "Dutton Ranch" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((92-94RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Why is it that I always find buttery popcorn, tropical fruit, creme caramel, and almost roasted hazelnuts in the Chardonnays from the Dutton Ranch? The 2003 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch has that and a lot more fruit than is typical. Perhaps the low yields from a vineyard that is known for relatively abundant crops have produced a bit more intensity than usual. This is in-your-face Chardonnay that is not the most subtle wine by any means but Meursault premier cru-like, ripe and heady. (RP)" (02/2005)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Hundred Acre "Few and Far Between" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, (93-95AG), 95ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between has a minerality that is also found in the Howell Mountain cuvee as well as deep, luxurious, beautiful black currant and blackberry fruit intermixed with hints of jammy black cherries, licorice, camphor and charcoal embers. Exceptionally full-bodied with sweet tannin, surreal richness and remarkable purity as well as delineation, this pushes ripeness and intensity to nearly over-the-top levels, but it pulls back to simply create a wine of genius. This 2010 should age effortlessly for two to three decades, but there is no reason to delay your enjoyment. (RP)" (10/2013)

1952 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1952 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (90WS). 90-points Wine Spectator. From Robert Parker: "...attractive, the sweet, spicy, gingery nose lacks ripeness of fruit. In the mouth, this wine exhibits structured, firm, medium-bodied flavors, good depth, but tough tannins and relatively high acidity in the finish. Although there is plenty of character, the wine finishes with a lean, rustic feel." (Dec 1992)

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (99RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 has taken forever to shed its formidable tannins, but what a great vintage of Lynch Bages! I would rank it at the top of the pyramid... Its dense purple color reveals a slight lightening at the edge and the stunning bouquet offers classic notes of creme de cassis, subtle smoke, oak and graphite. Powerful and rich with some tannins still to shed at age 22, it is still a young adolescent in terms of its evolutionand will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring. It should prove to be a 50 year wine. (RP)" (08/2011)
