Of the 2004 Henri Boillot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Charmes",Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Pure aromas of pineapple and lemon. Thick and plump but with a powerful minerality to the pineapple and wet stone flavors. A generous, tactile '04 that combines outstanding sucrosity with ripe, harmonious acids. Finishes with superb length. I would have picked this blind as a Perrieres. Boillot offered the opinion that 2004 was a great year for Charmes." (09/2006)

1992 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1992 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97AG, 97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "What makes the 1992 California Cabernet Sauvignon vintage so incredible is that one of its hallmarks is the voluptuous, opulent, and succulent nature of the fruit. In Dunn's offerings, that translates into wines that are massive and rich, but with sweeter, more expansive, chewy mid-palates." (10/1995)

2001 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino (93RP, 91ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Il Poggione’s 2001 Brunello di Montalcino opens with a very distinctive nose redolent of scorched earth, tobacco and cherries initially showing a wilder side of Sangiovese in its hints of gaminess. It is full-bodied and structured on the palate, where it offers plenty of fruit, with considerable length as well as big, potent tannins. This backward, hulking Brunello is in need of considerable cellaring and is clearly built for the long haul. It is a wine of great personality and character. (AG)" (12/2006)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Pavillon Rouge, Margaux. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep ruby. Floral aromas of boysenberry, chocolate, vanilla and mint. Supple and shapely; dark berry fruit enlivened by firm acids. A serious style of Pavillon Rouge, with a firm tannic spine. Among recent vintages of this wine, only the '95 is stronger, says Pontallier. Fifteen percent of the estate '98 crop was sold off in bulk to protect the quality of this second wine." (05/1999)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (91RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This opaque purple-colored, muscular, full-bodied, classically made St.-Julien displays impressive concentration, chewy, highly-extracted flavors of black fruits, iron, earth, and spicy wood, and a powerful mouth-feel. A pure, uncompromising, traditionally-styled wine, it is to be admired for its authenticity, class, and quality. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2035." (04/2001)

1996 Smith-Haut-Lafitte, Pessac-Leognan
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Smith-Haut-Lafitte, Pessac-Leognan (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Smith-Haut-Lafitte is the quintessentially elegant Bordeaux. With a dark ruby/purple color, it displays a beautiful presentation of blackberry and cassis fruit nicely dosed with subtle new oak. On the attack, the wine is sweet and pure, with striking symmetry, and a compellingly balanced mid-palate and finish. Although not as big as some blockbusters from this vintage, it is extremely complex (both aromatically and flavor-wise), and impressive for its restraint, subtlety, and impeccable balance. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2016. (RP)" (04/1999)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Bartolo Mascarello Nebbiolo Langhe. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Langhe Nebbiolo is a delicate, pretty wine. Sweet red cherries, crushed flowers and spices are some of the notes that flow from this open, textured Nebbiolo. Mint, flowers and sweet herbs develop in the glass, adding further notes of complexity. The Langhe Nebbiolo makes an excellent introduction to the house style. 2007 Biondi-Santi "Greppo" Rosso di Montalcino
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Biondi-Santi "Greppo" Rosso di Montalcino (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Rosso di Montalcino is made from the estate’s youngest vines (under ten years) and sees 12 months in cask. The bouquet alone is magnificent. Warm, radiant fruit blossoms on the palate as this generous, textured Rosso shows off its inimitable pedigree. Sweet, open scents of red berries, flowers and spices flow through effortlessly to the long finish. Despite the wine’s richness, the classically firm style is very much in evidence. The 2007 Rosso is clearly the equal of many a Brunello, and I would be tempted to hold a few bottles to see how they age. This is highly recommended and a great introduction to the wines of Bioni-Santi. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027. " (05/2011)

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2005 Climens, Barsac (375ml) (97RP, 95WS, 94CG, 94ST, 93W&S, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château Climens just soars from the glass with layers of clear honey, marmalade, nectarine and minerals all beautifully carved. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh, vibrant honeyed fruit that builds and builds in the mouth in tandem with a killer line of acidity. Even though it is a convincing, great Climens, you also have the impression that it is only just beginning to show what it is capable of. Bérénice Lurton and her team excelled in this vintage and it comes strongly recommended. (NM)" (06/2015)

2008 Comm. G.B. Burlotto "Monvigliero" Barolo
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Comm. G.B. Burlotto "Monvigliero" Barolo. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Barolo Vigneto Monvigliero hits the palate with a burst of sweet red berries, herbs and fresh flowers. The 2008 shows excellent weight and palate presence, but the intense high-toned, herbal notes that are the result of 100% whole-cluster fermentation dominate the wine’s balance. Diehard Burlotto fans will probably flock to the Monvigliero, but in my view 2008 was a very tricky vintage for whole-cluster fermentation. (AG)" (04/2012)

The palate is medium-bodied with an effervescent orange zest opening, superb acidity and an energetic, tensile finish that is concentrated and precise. This is a Fleurie from the very top drawer. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domenico Clerico "Ciabot Mentin" Barolo (96ST, 93JS, 92RP, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(Clerico is no longer using Ginestra on the label as of 2007: a change in the law recognized numerous crus, including Ginestra, but since many other growers use Ginestra on their labels, Clerico decided to name this wine after his own parcel): Medium red. Deeper and richer on the nose than the Pajana, with scents of redcurrant, mocha, dried flowers and earth. Wonderfully deep, layered and sweet; lush but with good limestone lift. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Feudi di San Gregorio Taurasi (92RP, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Taurasi is quite possibly the most lush Taurasi I have ever tasted. Layers of soft, expressive fruit caress the palate in this radiant, pleasing Taurasi. Some of the wine's accessibility has been achieved with a loss of varietal character, at least at this early stage in the wine's development. In exchange, readers will find a relatively open, giving Taurasi that won't require extended cellaring. (AG)" (06/2011)

Aromas of purple fruits, mint, violet and mocha; showing less torrefaction than the young 2012. Juicy, sharply delineated black fruit and violet flavors benefit from an excellent sugar/acid balance. Crunchy wine with lovely cut and penetration and a brisk, long finish. I'd give it two or three years in the cellar. This should make a terrific bottle of Marsannay." (03/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Schrader "Old Sparky" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another compelling, perfect wine is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard Old Sparky. This is Clone 4 and Clone 6, as well as Clone 337, blended together from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, aged in 100% new Darnajou barrels. For whatever reason, this wine seems to show more chocolate, espresso roast, barbecue smoke, dense blackberry and blueberry fruit and enormous body with not a touch of heaviness or astringency. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Sine Qua Non "17th Nail In My Cranium" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (100RP, 98WS, 97ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Syrah The 17th Nail In My Cranium, a blend of 96.5% Syrah and 3.5% Viognier which is aged 38 months prior to bottling. (I always wonder what Marcel Guigal would think of a wine like this which seems to tip its hat in the direction of Cote Rotie and then goes into high gear and clearly says, "I’m just something very different, but thanks for even thinking of that appellation while smelling and tasting me.") Black as a moonless night, the 2005 17th Nail reveals a stunning nose of spring flowers intermixed with creme de cassis, blackberries, charcoal, graphite, and hints of lard and barbecue spices. Dense, with an endless (and I mean endless) finish, remarkable purity, and layer upon layer of flavor, but no sense of heaviness or flabbiness, this prodigious Syrah should evolve for 15 or more years. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Simply put, the 2009 James Berry Vineyard is one of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted from California, or anywhere for that matter. Bright, floral aromatics lead to expressive red fruit in this impossibly elegant, dazzling wine. A melange of rose petals, mint and licorice follows as the James Berry shows off its breathtaking clarity and finesse. Fine-grained, chalky tannins frame the exceptional finish. 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth." (06/2009)

Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. One of the all-time great examples of Lynch Bages, the 2000 is just beginning to drink well yet promises to last for another 20-25+ years. (RP)" (08/2011)

1981 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1981 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine is close to full maturity, but it is capable of holding for another two decades. It reveals the classic Lafite bouquet of red and black fruits, cedar, fruitcake, and tobacco-like aromas. In the mouth, this medium ruby/garnet-colored wine displays a delicacy of fruit and sweet attack, but subtle, well-defined flavors ranging from tobacco, cigar box, cedar, and fruitcake. This is a savory, soft Lafite-Rothschild that is pleasing to both the intellect and the palate. Anticipated maturity: Now-2018." (01/1998)

1990 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Margaux, Margaux (100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine both in Seoul, Korea in February, and from my cellar in December, 2008, and it was remarkable how identical the wines smelled and tasted. It offers an extraordinary aromatic display of spring flowers, camphor, sweet red and black fruits, a hint of licorice, and no evidence of its 100% new oak cask aging. Round and generous with low acidity, but an opulent, full-bodied richness that is fresh with laser-like precision, this stunning wine is just beginning to reach its plateau of full maturity, where it should remain for another three decades. 2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (93ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: " Ripe peach, apple and rocks on the nose, complicated by a whiff of fennel. Tighter and more imploded than the Perrieres, showing less obvious volume today and a distinctly cool quality. This very rocky style has a structure like a red wine. Very long and firm on the aftertaste. Colin points out that this is the only wine in the cellar that's an assemblage-in this instance, half of the fruit is from Pernand and half from Aloxe, picked the same day and vinified together. Tough going today, and almost certain to merit a higher score with several years of bottle aging. 93+" (09/2009)

1974 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 1974 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (99RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "My early notes stated that the wine was sumptuous, very rich and incredibly impressive, but needed to be drunk within its first decade of life. Well, in September, 2013, approaching 40 years of age, it is even better than it was 36 years ago. So much for crystal balling the potential of these wines. Of course, 1974 was an unusually warm year with a fabulous Indian Summer, and the results were very ripe, concentrated Cabernet Sauvignons that a few critics thought were over-the-top and too rich. How often we hear those same complaints, with the same phony indignation, today. When tasted in September, 2013, the 1974 Insignia exhibited a dark garnet color as well as an incredible, sweet, Pauillac-like nose of Christmas fruitcake, cedarwood, rich plum and red and black fruits, and a hint of underbrush. It possesses a noble freshness and sweetness and the fruit is holding b

2009 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 94ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Deep Time is another perfect wine. Quintessential elegance, seductiveness and ripeness are all present in this full-bodied, gorgeously rich wine along with intense minerality and abundant, corpulent, cassis, mulberry and boysenberry fruit. It takes a wild ride on the palate with incredible intensity yet a surreal finesse and focus that belie the wine’s compelling concentration and intensity. I’ll cut off my notes now since so few people will ever get a chance to try this beauty, but if you do, it takes you deep into the essence of Cabernet Sauvignon as well as the complicated think tank of Woodbridge’s brain. Anticipated maturity: now-2030. (RP)" (10/2013)

1998 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 1998 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 89ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (13,000 cases) will disprove all the naysayers about how bad the vintage was in the North Coast. It possesses an opaque ruby/purple color, a gorgeous perfume of loamy soil, new saddle leather, chocolate, and black cherry and black currant fruit, full body, and ripe tannin in the finish. As it sits in the glass, notes of cedar and spice box also emerge. Although more evolved than most Montelena Cabernets are at age 4, there is no doubting that it will still provide considerable pleasure at age 15 or 16. (RP)" (08/2002)

Wine Spectator: "**Collectibles designation and ranked #20 of Top 100 Wines of 2005** Loads of ripe currants, licorice and toasted oak on the nose. Subtle yet impressive. Full-bodied, with a solid core of ripe fruit and chewy tannins. Big and juicy. Deep midpalate for a 2002. This is the wine of the vintage. A solid, classic Latour that needs bottle age." (03/2005)

2000 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (96RP, 96WE, 95WS, 94ST, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In short, I find this to be a spectacular Pichon Lalande. Dense purple in color, with loads of coffee, mocha, creme de cassis, and chocolate notes, this is a somewhat unusual blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and a whooping 10% Petit Verdot, with a little bit of Cabernet Franc. The Petit Verdot certainly gives the wine more of a tapenade, floral note, which I think can be interpreted by some as herbal. This is a rich, opulent, stunning Pichon Lalande that is beginning to drink beautifully, yet should continue to improve for at least another 10-15 years and last 30 or more years." (06/2010)

1996 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien (98RP, 96ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A profound Leoville Las Cases, it is one of the great modern day wines of Bordeaux. This wine's hallmark remains a sur-maturite (over-ripeness) of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. Yet the wine has retained its intrinsic classicism, symmetry, and profound potential for complexity and elegance. The black/purple color is followed by a spectacular nose of cassis, cherry liqueur, pain grille, and minerals. It is powerful and rich on the attack, with beautifully integrated tannin, massive concentration, yet no hint of heaviness or disjointedness. As this wine sits in the glass it grows in stature and richness. It is a remarkable, seamless, palate-staining, and extraordinarily elegant wine - the quintessential St.-Julien. Despite the sweetness of the tannin, I would recommend cellaring this wine for 7-8 years. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2035. (RP)" (04/1999)

2006 Sine Qua Non "A Shot in the Dark" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Sine Qua Non "A Shot in the Dark" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (100RP, 98WS, 96ST, 95JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A Shot in the Dark is composed of 96.5% Syrah and 3.5% Viognier from the 11 Confessions Vineyard in the cool Santa Rita Hills. Performing better from bottle than it did from barrel, this prodigious red exhibits incredibly velvety tannins, a seamless style, and no noticeable oak (which is remarkable given the fact it spent 32 months in barrel). Dense purple to the rim with an extraordinary perfume of blueberry pie, blackberries, soy, Asian spices, and hints of forest floor and charcoal, this is a complex, rich, seamless, well-balanced tour de force in winemaking. A full-bodied, exuberant, unabashedly California Syrah, it will offer stunning drinking over the next 10-15+ years. (RP)" (08/2010)

2008 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Madrona Ranch opens with an incredibly expressive bouquet. Espresso, mocha and licorice meld into dark red fruit and sweet exotic spices in this superb wine. The 2008 is an extraordinarily polished, refined wine for the vintage. Sweet spiced and floral notes reappear to round out the finish. The relatively high percentage of Cabernet Franc (37%) comes through in spades here. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2033. (AG)" (12/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96AG, 94ST, 93WS, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts an inky/purple color as well as glorious aromas of spring flowers, lead pencil shavings, licorice and a multitude of wild mountain fruits, in particular black raspberry, blackberry and cassis reminiscent of a French Pauillac (although I always think of Spottswoode as the Chateau Margaux of Napa). With a flawless integration of tannin, wood and acidity, it comes across like a liquid version of haute couture from the house of Chanel. It should drink well young yet age for 25 years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96WE, 95ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by beautiful aromas of blueberries, black currants, acacia flowers, licorice, and spice. The tannins are softer than I remember, but this is certainly one of the vintage’s most extraordinary wines. Full-bodied with a seamless integration of tannin, acidity, alcohol, and wood, it is exceptionally pure and full as well as impeccably balanced. The impression is one of elegance allied with substantial flavor authority. It can be drunk now or cellared for 25+ years." (12/2008)

Of the 2012 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is a beautiful wine that comes from four vineyards, Gap’s Crown, Griffin’s Lair, Terra de Promissio and Walala. It has a deep ruby/semi-opaque color that is followed by a youthful, rich and concentrated wine offering classic dark cherries, plum, licorice, ground herbs and baking-spice-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, layered and structured, it opens up beautifully with air, has seamlessly integrated fruit, tannin and alcohol, and stays classy and nicely focused on the finish. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned.
