Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Cantenac Brown, Margaux (95WE, 94JS, 94RP, 92WS, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: " *Cellar Selection* One of the finest wines to come from Cantenac Brown for many years, this is powerful and dense, dominated by Cabernet Franc tannins and fruits. The structure has a smooth, polished character that locates it firmly in Margaux, giving elegance and discreet fruitiness. Age this fine wine for many years. " (02/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A spectacular effort from this estate rivaling their 2005, but more flashy/flamboyant, this dark ruby/purple wine has a strikingly intense nose of licorice, flowers, plums and dark berries. Medium to full-bodied, very approachable and silky, this suave, very sexy wine can be drunk early on as well as aged for 20+ years. (RP)" (02/2012)

2005 Massolino "Parafada" Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Massolino "Parafada" Barolo (93RP, 92W&S, 91WE, 91WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Barolo Parafada is gorgeous in this vintage. The Parafada is the only Barolo here that sees French oak, and although the estate has lowered the percentage of new oak, the smaller barrels give this wine an explosive quality that is all its own. In 2005 the Parafada is all about textural richness rather than delineation, but it reveals an enveloping, sensual personality with attractive warmth that carries through all the way to the long, smooth finish. This beautifully balanced, sublime Barolo is another wonderful effort from the Massolino brothers. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025. " (04/2009)

James Suckling: "This is a wine that seduces you, with its crushed blackberries and hints of dark chocolate that follow through to a full body and ultra-fine tannins with a tangy, fresh finish. Solid as a rock. Best ever from here. Try in 2019." (02/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Doisy-Daëne, Sauternes (95RP, 95WS, (92-93JS), 93WE, 92ST). Wine Spectator: "This delivers a crackling display of tangerine, white peach, persimmon, green fig and ginger notes, with perfectly embedded acidity letting everything harmonize beautifully through the finish. Full body, with soft and velvety tannins and a fruity finish. So delicious now, but better in a few years. A wine with balance and finesse. " (02/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 de Fieuzal, Pessac-Léognan (92RP, 90JS, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big time sleeper of the vintage and a terrific success for Fieuzal, the 2008 is a wine to buy given its realistic price. Dense plum/purple-colored with a soaring bouquet of blue and black fruits, unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings and spring flowers, it is a suave, savory, medium to full-bodied, remarkably silky, appealing wine to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. Bravo!" (05/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Courbis "Champelrose" Cornas (92WS, 91RP, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "Big and rich, but with a throwback feel to the gutsy bramble, tobacco and mulled plum flavors, all pushed by additional dark olive and roasted fig notes. Good cut on the finish offsets the richness nicely. Best from 2012 through 2019." (10/2011)

2009 Duckhorn "Three Palms" Napa Valley Merlot
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2009 Duckhorn "Three Palms" Napa Valley Merlot (95WE, 92WS). Wine Enthusiast: " *Cellar Selection* This is classic Three Palms Merlot-as excellent as anything Duckhorn has ever produced. It shows the hard tannins that always mark the winery’s Bordeaux-style red wines, but it’s luscious and deep in berry fruit, licorice, grilled meat and cola. It should have no difficulty negotiating the years. Give it until around 2015, but if you can’t wait, at least decant it for a few hours. " (10/2012)

2009 Domaine du Bouscat "Portes de I'Am," Bordeaux Supérieur
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine du Bouscat "Portes de I'Am," Bordeaux Supérieur (94RP, 92ST, 91JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Slightly lower key (only 15.4% natural alcohol) is the 2009 Les Portes de l'Am, a blend from Bouscat’s best vineyard parcel consisting of 50% Merlot and the rest equal parts Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Densely opaque purple, with notes of incense, acacia flowers, blackberries and cassis, this is a sensational wine that could easily be a grand cru classe. All of it was made and aged in 320-liter demi-muids and bottled with very little SO2, although some was used. This is an amazing effort that needs to be tasted to be believed. Anticipated maturity: now-2020. These are all exclusives of the American broker/negociant Jeffrey M. Davies. There are three cuvees, with the Caduce replacing what was simply called their Cuvee Classique. This is a major over-achieving, 20-acre, south-facing hillside vineyard just in the shadow of Fronsac. 2009 Gazin, Pomerol
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Gazin, Pomerol (96RP, 95JS, 93WS, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big, powerful, masculine Pomerol with a style not dissimilar from Le Gay, the dense purple-colored 2009 Gazin exhibits black currant, black cherry liqueur, coffee, roasted herb, an exotic Asian spice component, vanillin, creme caramel and toasty oak in its aromatics and flavors. From a vineyard near Petrus, Le Gay and La Fleur Petrus, it is full-bodied with licorice, earth, truffle and creme de cassis in the mouth. Give this powerful, backward 2009 an additional 6-8 years of cellaring and drink it over the following three decades. " (02/2012)

2008 Gloria, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Gloria, St-Julien (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A stunning sleeper of the vintage, this beautiful, already irresistible, plum/garnet-colored 2008 is a wine to purchase by the case. It possesses a dense plum/purple color, a glorious perfume of Christmas fruitcake, cedarwood, black currants, jammy cherries and licorice, medium to full body and a silky personality. It will provide both a hedonistic and intellectual turn-on over the next 10-15 years. (RP)" (04/2011)

2009 Gallica Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Gallica Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a big, plush wine. Despite its initial richness, there is plenty of underlying tannin. Sweet floral notes are woven throughout. The 2009 bursts with energy, precision and sheer class. It is a dazzling effort. Far from an easygoing 2009, the wine shows the more structured side of the vintage. It is likely to require at least a few years in bottle. The 2009 is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barrels, 81% new. (95+) (AG)" (12/2011)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac (95JS, 95RP, 93WE, 93WS, (88-91ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing better from bottle than it did from cask (and comparable to their wines 2005, 2000, 1990 and 1982), this is a great classic from Xavier Borie's estate situated on the back roads west of the town of Pauillac. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by hints of spring flowers, crushed rocks, black currants, cedar and earth/underbrush. Precise and elegant as well as backward and foreboding, it should put on weight in the bottle and evolve for two decades. Very concentrated as well as velvety-textured, it is a beauty of finesse, balance, purity and nobility. It will benefit from 5-7 more years of bottle age. (RP)" (02/2012)

Butterscotch and vanilla with hints of ripe apples; full-bodied, with lots of sweetness and a spicy apricot and honey aftertaste. Excellent concentration and balance. Loads of botrytis character on the finish. Intense. Hard to refrain from drinking it now, it's so luscious and rich. Best after 2008." (09/2004)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of just over 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and the balance Merlot (last year I mistakenly wrote that the balance was Cabernet Franc), the opaque ruby/purple-colored 2009 reveals notes of scorched earth/burning embers/charcoal, black currants, ripe cherries and lead pencil shavings. Full-bodied and pure with sweet tannin, this is an under-the-radar, high quality claret to drink over the next 20-25 years. (RP)" (02/2012)

Of the 2009 Keplinger "Lithic" Amador County Grenache Blend,Wine Spectator writes: "Beautifully crafted, intense and vibrant, with a firm mix of loamy earth, mineral, plum and blackberry. Full-bodied and tightly wound, this one begs for cellaring, ending with a strong flex of ripe tannins. Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Best from 2014 through 2024. " (02/2012)

2009 Gruaud Larose, St-Julien
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Gruaud Larose, St-Julien (95JS, 95RP, 94ST, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I wrote in my barrel tasting note, the 2009 appears to be the finest Gruaud Larose since their 1990. Some of my concerns about too much brett in previous vintages are long gone as the purity of the 2009 jumps out. Copious notes of sagebrush, cedar, cigar box, licorice, incense, blackberries and lead pencil shavings suggest a big Pauillac rather than a St.-Julien. Broad, rich and full-bodied with good balance and abundant, but sweet, well-integrated tannin, this big, masculine Gruaud Larose reveals remarkable finesse, richness, extract, density and a cascade of fruit that nearly hides the lofty tannins. This beauty should be at its best between 2020-2045." (02/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The opaque ruby/purple-hued 2008 Merlot Reserve Mailbox Vineyard (100% Merlot) is a stunning 350-case cuvee that competes with some of the finest Merlots made in Napa Valley. Almost crunchy, this juicy wine has vivid minerality, lots of sweet boysenberry and berry fruit intermixed with flowers, white chocolate and spice characteristics. 2009 La Gaffelière, St-Emilion
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 La Gaffelière, St-Emilion (95RP, 94WE, (89-92ST), 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolutely spectacular effort, the 2009 is one of the all-time great La Gaffelieres produced. One would have to go back to the 2005, 1947 or 1961 to find this level of quality from this ancient, historic vineyard planted adjacent to the walls of St.-Emilion, on the Cote Pavie. Dating back to the 1400s, this estate has been owned for over three centuries by the Malet-Roquefort family. Composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon (in the past it was two-thirds Merlot and the rest split between Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc), the 2009 reveals compelling elegance, tremendous intensity and opulence and more viscosity than one normally sees. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As always, there is an elegance to the La Fleur de Gay, but the tell-tale flowery, raspberry jam, and blueberry pie notes jump from the glass along with hints of graphite and truffle. Deep, rich, full-bodied and textured, with sweet tannin and a stunning elegance and purity, this beauty that can be approached now or cellared for 20-25 years." (02/2012)

2005 La Dauphine, Fronsac
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 La Dauphine, Fronsac (90RP). The outstanding, sexy, full-bodied 2005 is a 5,000-case blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. 1995 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (95RP, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bottled in June, 1997, this profound Mouton is more accessible than the more muscular 1996. A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 19% Merlot, it reveals an opaque purple color, and reluctant aromas of cassis, truffles, coffee, licorice, and spice. In the mouth, the wine is "great stuff," with superb density, a full-bodied personality, rich mid-palate, and a layered, profound finish that lasts for 40+ seconds. There is outstanding purity and high tannin, but my instincts suggest this wine is lower in acidity and slightly fleshier than the brawnier, bigger 1996. Both are great efforts from Mouton-Rothschild." (02/1998)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard CCS is Clone 4 from another block, and always seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. It’s aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou barrels. The good news is there are 520 cases of it. Just a prodigious wine, this spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon is inky bluish/purple with a gorgeous nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, a touch of background toast and graphite. It has a very full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel and a skyscraper-like finish. It is fabulously open, sexy and a total thrill to smell and taste. In the mouth, more white chocolate notes appear, along with meatiness and some silky tannins. Antonio Galloni: "Super-ripe red plums, pomegranate, rose petals and cinnamon race out of the glass in the 2012 Monte Bello. Structured, layered and absolutely impeccable, the 2012 appears to have a very bright future. The 2012 is an especially concentrated Monte Bello with so much fruit the tannins - the highest since 1992 - are nearly buried. 2009 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Proprietary Red
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Proprietary Red (96RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Booker Vineyard is 70% Syrah and 30% Mourvedre from one of the rockiest, steepest hillsides in Paso Robles. Layers of dark fruit, spices, tar and licorice emerge from the glass in this deep, sensual wine. Booker usually sees the highest percentage of new oak, and elements of spiciness come through on the finish, although some of the oakiness blows off with time in the glass. Booker is another site Smith planted and continues to pull fruit from, in this case three blocks of Syrah and one of Mourvedre. In 2009 there were two lots; the first 100% Syrah vinified with 20-25% stems, the second a Syrah/Mourvedre co-ferment. Both lots were blended for the finished wine. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2021. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Drouhin-Laroze Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru ((91-94BH), 90WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "* Don't Miss! * As one would expect, this is considerably more refined if not necessarily more complex with a layered and wonderfully nuanced nose of clove, anise and crushed pepper adding interest to the mostly red berry fruits that display bass notes of earth, game and underbrush. The big-boned flavors are mouth coating and dusty but avoid any sense of underlying dryness on the classy, serious and hugely long finish. A beast but a well-mannered one." (01/2008)

1982 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (97RP, 96AG, 96JS, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is a denser version of the 1990 that stylistically reminds me of what the young 1959 probably tasted like. Still backward with a deep ruby/plum color revealing only a touch of lightening at the edge, the wine offers up an extraordinary nose of caramelized herbs, smoke, cedar, pen ink, black currants, and earth. The gorgeous aromatics are followed by a full-bodied, plump, rich, fleshy wine with low acidity. With 6-8 hours decanting in a closed decanter, it will offer beautiful drinking, but it needs another 5-8 years to reach full maturity. It is capable of lasting 50-60 years. (97+) (RP)" (06/2009)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (OWC - 95RP, 94WE, 93ST, 92JS, 91WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sleeper of the vintage, the 2008 Pichon Longueville Baron is one of the densest, most concentrated wines of Pauillac in 2008. An inky/purple color is followed by aromas and flavors of creme de cassis, blackberries, charcoal, coffee and licorice. Exceptionally full-bodied with velvety tannins and undeniable appeal, this gorgeous, well-proportioned, larger than life 2008 should age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (05/2011)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Joseph Roty Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Très Vieilles Vignes" (94ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Captivating aromas of dark raspberry, licorice, underbrush and truffle. Supple, silky and sweet, with uncanny depth for a wine from this vintage. Highly concentrated flavors of cherry, spice and black licorice; really fat with sweet fruit, and distinctly fruitier today than the Griottes. Broad and full but with zero heaviness. Very long finishing flavors of spice and licorice. An incredible performance in the context of the year. And structured to last. " (03/2007)

2003 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great bottle and showing the hallmark elegance of the estate, the 2003 Clos des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape offers up a kirsch liqueur, liquid flower, red licorice and spice-box driven bouquet along with a full-bodied, seamless, silky profile on the palate. Still beautifully put together and aging gracefully, with a core of sweet fruit, it is certainly drinking well now, yet should continue to hold and drink nicely through 2020. (RP)" (06/2013)

2005 Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur Richebourg Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur Richebourg Grand Cru (95ST, 94BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "8 barrels made, vs. a normal 11 or 12) Full red-ruby, not quite as dark as the other grand crus at this address. Reticent but wild nose hints at black raspberry, minerals and game. At once powerful and suave, with terrific inner-palate tension and sneaky intensity of dark fruit and violet flavor. Finishes impressively long, with thoroughly buffered, fine-grained tannins. Gros prefers wines that combine power and roundness, and he ventured the opinion that only grand crus can give the sweetness with strength that he prizes." (03/2007)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (95JS, 92RP, 92WS). James Suckling: "This is very, very Haut-Brion. Perhaps this second wine is like the gran vin in 1995? Full body, with rich ripe tannins, with a silky texture. It is dense and powerful. Long and rich. Better in 2016. Best second wine of Haut-Brion ever? It has just about everything Haut-Brion has in an excellent year like this. Try in 2019." (02/2012)

1997 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97ST, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Harlan Estate is one of the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines I have ever tasted. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this enormously-endowed, profoundly rich wine must be tasted to be believed. Opaque purple-colored, it boasts spectacular, soaring aromatics of vanilla, minerals, coffee, blackberries, licorice, and cassis. In the mouth, layer after layer unfold powerfully yet gently. Acidity, tannin, and alcohol are well-balanced by the wine's unreal richness and singular personality. The finish exceeds one minute. (RP)" (12/2000)

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2009 La Lagune, Haut-Médoc (1.5L) ((93-96WS), 95RP, 92ST). Wine Spectator: "Floral and precise fruit, with blackberry-skin character and mineral undertones. Full-bodied, with superfine tannins and a fresh, clean finish. Long and tight. Racy. Lovely texture. 60 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 25 percent Merlot and 15 percent Petit Verdot. This property is really on a roll now, delivering racy and structured reds; it gives much more freshness and character to the wine. (Web Only- 2010)"

2008 Larcis Ducasse, St-Emilion
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Larcis Ducasse, St-Emilion (93JS, 93RP, 91WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Larcis Ducasse...is composed of 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc. Although closed at present and less prodigious than I predicted two years ago, it reveals an opaque purple color, plenty of sweet fruitcake, black currant, kirsch, forest floor and earthy characteristics, a full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet tannins and a long finish. It just does not appear to have the extra gear or two I tasted from barrel. Nevertheless, it is an outstanding wine and if it is priced fairly, it should be a definite purchase to enjoy over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (05/2011)

2009 Les Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe (94RP, 93JS, 93WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos actually has more Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend than the grand vin (69% versus 65%) in addition to mostly Merlot and a small quantity of Petit Verdot. As powerful as the Cos in terms of alcoholic clout (14.5%), the full-bodied, round, generous Les Pagodes de Cos exhibits lots of creme de cassis and floral notes intermixed with hints of wood/barrique and spice. Juicy, succulent and remarkably fresh and well-delineated, it merits considerable attention from consumers. It should drink well for 15-20 years. Oddly enough, the second wine is superior to many vintages of Cos in the 1960s 1970s and 1980s! (RP)" (02/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Latour à Pomerol, Pomerol (93JS, 93WE, 93WS, 92RP, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "A nice, old-school style, with roasted mesquite, tobacco leaf and espresso flavors up front, following through to bittersweet ganache and mulled dark currant notes on the still-slightly taut, but well-framed, finish. Should flesh out a bit more with cellaring. Best from 2014 through 2030." (03/2012)

2008 Sine Qua Non "The Line" California Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Line" California Grenache (98RP, 95JS, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " This wine was just released in April of this year, and is a blend of 87.5% Grenache, 11% Syrah, and 1.5% Viognier, with 21% whole clusters used in the Grenache component. Seventy-eight percent of it came from the 11 Confessions Vineyard and the balance from Bien Nacido and the White Hawk. It is no measly wine at 15.5% alcohol, but it displays extraordinary berry fruit and kirsch notes intermixed with lavender and other floral components. Intense, full-bodied, voluptuously textured, and stunningly pure, with no real noticeable oak (21% new French oak was used, most of it the larger demi-muids), this beauty has put on weight and is showing additional complexity since I first tasted it. Anticipated maturity: now-2023. (RP)" (08/2011)

2010 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (95JS, 95RP, (92-94WE), 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Gorgeous, flowery, classic Margaux once again, the 2010 Malescot St.-Exupery continues to show virtually no toasty oak, given the impeccable balance and full-bodied, full-throttle style it possesses. Black raspberries, creme de cassis and spring floral notes intermixed with forest floor and a hint of charcoal are followed by an opulent, sexy, full-bodied wine whose tannins have become much sweeter, while the wine is less restrained yet still exuberant and impressive. This is a phenomenal example once again for this estate, harmonious in every sense of style, extraordinarily long, rich and ageworthy. Three to four years of bottle age will do wonders to make it more accessible, but this wine is set for 25-30 years of longevity." (02/2013)

Bid on this 10-bottle lot of 2005 Moulin Saint-Georges, St-Emilion (OWC - (91-93RP), 92WS, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The second most well-known estate of perfectionist proprietor Alain Vauthier (the best-known is Ausone), the inky/purple-tinged 2005 Moulin-St.-Georges offers sumptuously sweet aromas of candied cassis, crushed rocks, flowers, and incense. Intense, full-bodied, and deep, with fabulous purity, texture, and freshness as well as a 40+ second finish, this may be the finest Moulin-St.-Georges Vauthier has yet produced.
