Butterscotch and vanilla with hints of ripe apples; full-bodied, with lots of sweetness and a spicy apricot and honey aftertaste. Excellent concentration and balance. 1997 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1997 d'Yquem, Sauternes (96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational Yquem, 1997 may be this estate's finest effort since 1990 (although I would not discount the 1996 turning out to be nearly as good). The 1997's light gold color is accompanied a gorgeous perfume of caramel, honeysuckle, peach, apricot, and smoky wood. Full-bodied and unctuously-textured, with good underlying acidity as well as loads of sweetness and glycerin, it looks to be a great vintage for this renowned Sauternes estate. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2055." (04/2003)

2011 Suduiraut, Sauternes
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Suduiraut, Sauternes ((94-97ST), (95-97WE), 96JS, 96WS, (93-95RP)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(93% semillion and 7% sauvignon; 3.7 pH; 6 g/l total acidity; 150 g/l residual sugar; 13.5% alcohol): Bright golden yellow. Intense, deep aromas of ripe citrus, kiwi and guava are complicated by marmaladey smoky botrytis and a touch of honeyed mango, decadent notes that are rare in 2011 Sauternes. Very rich in the mouth, displaying extremely pure tropical fruit and acacia honey flavors that are given clarity and cut by harmonious acidith. Finishes very long and pure, with uncanny freshness that keeps this opulent wine light on its feet. This is far richer than most other 2011 Sauternes yet retains the vintage's freshness and crispness. Just three tries were carried out this year and the first one was done essentially to remove dirty, unhealthy-looking grapes. This is the best young Suduiraut of the last 15 years." (08/2012)

1990 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml)
Bid on this half-bottle of 1990 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (99RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An extraordinary effort, Yquem's 1990 is a rich and fabulously superb, sweet wine. This wine also possesses lots of elegance and finesse. The wine's medium gold color is accompanied by an exceptionally sweet nose of honeyed tropical fruits, peaches, coconut, and apricots. High quality, subtle toasty oak is well-integrated. The wine is massive on the palate, with layers of intensely ripe botrytis-tinged, exceptionally sweet fruit. Surprisingly well-integrated acidity, and a seamless, full-bodied power and richness have created a wine of remarkable harmony and purity. Certainly it is one of the richest Yquems I have ever tasted, with 50-100 years of potential longevity. An awesome Yquem! Anticipated maturity: 2003-2050+." (04/1999)

1985 Graham's Vintage Port (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1985 Graham's Vintage Port (1.5L) (96RP, 96WS). 96 points Wine Spectator: "Dark color, with intense aromas of blackberry, licorice and hints of flowers. Full-bodied, lightly sweet, with superrefined tannins. Long and caressing. Very youthful. Will improve for a long time. This is really excellent. Always has been. Just starting to come around." (2008) 96 points Robert Parker: "Graham is the undisputed star and kingpin of the 1985 vintage ports. Yes, it is made in a sweeter style than the other ports, but it is a fabulous wine because of a dazzling level of black-cherry fruit, an enormous structure, and staggering depth, dimension, and length. It is forward, as are all 1985s, and I would speculate that this port will be approaching maturity by 1992-93 and will keep 15-20 years thereafter." (01/89)

1992 Fonseca Vintage Port
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1992 Fonseca Vintage Port (97RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This colossal vintage port reveals a nearly opaque black/purple color, and an explosive nose of jammy black fruits, licorice, chocolate, and spices. Extremely full-bodied and unctuously-textured, this multi-layered, enormously-endowed port reveals a finish that lasts for over a minute. It is a magnificent port that will age well for 30-40 years." 1994 Taylor's Vintage Port
Bid on this bottle of 1994 Taylor's Vintage Port (100JS, 100WS, 99WE, 97RP). Wine Spectator: "**Cellar Selection and Wine of the Year 1997** In a word, superb. It's full-bodied, moderately sweet and incredibly tannic, but there's amazing finesse and refinement to the texture, not to mention fabulous, concentrated aromas of raspberries, violets and other flowers. Perhaps the greatest Taylor ever, it's better than either the 1992 or the 1970, though it's very like the '70 in structure. Best after 2010." (04/1997)

1994 Graham's Vintage Port
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Graham's Vintage Port (96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In a port tasting, tasting Graham's is almost like tasting a big, rich, succulent Merlot after a group of blockbuster, tannic Cabernets. Sweeter and more obvious than many ports, the opaque purple-colored 1994 is fruity, powerful, and rich, with an addictive hedonistic quality. It will be ready to drink in 8-10 years and keep for up to 30. As always, this is a showy, flamboyant port that has the advantage of being slightly sweeter than other 1994s. A great Graham's. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2035." (10/1996)

1992 Taylor Vintage Port
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1992 Taylor Vintage Port (100RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Taylor's 1992 Vintage Port is unquestionably the greatest young port I have ever tasted. It represents the essence of what vintage port can achieve. The color is an opaque black/purple, and the nose offers up fabulously intense aromas of minerals, cassis, blackberries, licorice, and spices, as well as extraordinary purity and penetration. Yet this is still an unformed and infantile wine. If Chateau Latour made a late-harvest Cabernet Sauvignon, I suspect it might smell like this. In the mouth, the wine is out of this world, displaying layer upon layer of concentrated black fruits backed by well-integrated tannin and structure. This is a massive, magnificently rich, full-bodied port that will be far more flattering in its youth than were such Taylors as the 1983, 1977, or 1970. It possesses awesome fruit, marvelous intensity, and lavish opulence, all brilliantly well-delineated by the win
