2006 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Alban "Seymour's Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (98RP, 96ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The succession of prodigious Syrahs continues with the 2006 Syrah Seymour’s Vineyard (named after John Alban’s father). An infant in terms of development, it exhibits a smoky meatiness along with a forest floor character as well as its siblings’ colossal level of concentration, enormous, multilayered texture, and skyscraper-like mouthfeel. Remarkably, there is no sense of heaviness. Another tour de force in Central Coast Syrah, it should drink well for 30-40 years. (98+)" (08/2009)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Perrieres" ((91-93ST), 92BH, (89-90RP)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Full yellow color. Sexy aromas of truffle, vanilla, nut oil and charry oak. Superrich and sweet yet taut, with notes of stone fruits, nut oil and spices. This charming, rather fat wine shows an almost Meursault-like texture today. Boillot says this will be less exotic after a sulfur treatment. " (09/2007)

2006 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (93BH, 93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " I have loved this wine the two or three times I have tasted it and this is easily the best bottle I have encountered. The nose here is much more immediate, with a stunning mineral nose, hints of brioche coming through like last time, but with even more precision and focus, flinty scents developing with time. The palate is clean, tense and refined with hazelnut and quince, a weightlessness and poise that is quite hypnotic. This is one of my favorite white Burgundy wines, and this 2006 is impressive. Excellent. Drink now-2022. (NM)" (06/2014)

2006 Merus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Merus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS, 92RP, 92ST, 91CG). James Suckling: "This is really powerful on the nose, with reduced aromas of blackberries, raspberries and cherries. Full bodied, with loads of velvety tannins and a thick, jammy after taste. But it's balanced and pretty. Give it two to three years of bottle age. " (02/2011)

Of the 2007 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The prodigious 2007 Materium exhibits an even more opaque purple color, and ratchets up the level of intensity and aromatic complexity. Blackberry, black raspberry, blueberry, and cassis aromas intermixed with notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, and toasty new oak are found in this beauty. Outstanding intensity along with full-bodied power and beautifully integrated acids, tannins, alcohol, and wood suggest this 2007 should hit its peak in 5-7 years, and evolve for three decades or more." 2006 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru (95RP, 95WE, 91ST, 90BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Musky floral notes suggesting narcissus, magnolia, and perhaps some sort of exotic orchid mingle in the nose of Drouhin's 2006 Musigny with quinine, birch beer, and kirsch. The palate boasts remarkable richness and sheer viscosity for the vintage – though little superficial sweetness – along with textural refinement that goes beyond even the best of the rest of this year's Drouhin collection. Fruit pit bitterness; brown spices; roasting pan reduction of meat and fat; and an almost palpable sense of chalky and ore-like minerality add to the mystery and invigoration of a vibratory finish. This tastes awfully delicious today, though it should probably be given a few years in bottle. It ought to perform marvelously for at least a decade. (DS)" (12/2009)

2006 Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Champeaux"
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Champeaux" (93BH, 93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Dugat-Py 2006 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux displays more finesse and refinement of texture as well as a similar, seemingly gravity-defying combination of density with lift and buoyancy to the corresponding Petite Chapelle, although there is less sheer flavor concentration and drama on display. Black tea and blackberry are decadently laced with peony floral notes in the nose, and the tea and berries are underlain by peat, wet stone, and iron filings. It lingers palate-saturatingly, stimulatingly, and a bit mysteriously. Expect more excitement over the next several years and an at least dozen year potential. (DS)" (12/2009)

2006 Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux Grand Cru
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux Grand Cru ((93-94RP), (90-93ST), 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sweet, spicy profusion of cinnamon, ginger, cocoa powder, lily perfume, maraschino, and kirsch soars from the glass of Rouget 2006 Echezeaux, which comes to the palate with unexpected depth and richness of roasted meats, chalk, and saline savor, though to be sure, the bright red fruits and spices never flag. This is positively vibratory as well as riveting in its dynamic, oscillating finishing complexity. I'd give it 3-4 years head start and then plan to follow it for another decade. (DS)" (12/2009)

2006 Ramey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Ramey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Cherry and red berry aromas are complicated by dried rose, tobacco and fresh herbs. Juicy and intense, with gently sweet red and dark berry flavors and slow-mounting tannins. Becomes more floral with air and finishes with impressive clarity and spicy persistence. Eighty percent of the vines that provided this fruit are planted on steep hillsides, Ramey told me." 2006 Drouhin-Laroze Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Drouhin-Laroze Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru ((91-94BH), 90WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "* Don't Miss! * As one would expect, this is considerably more refined if not necessarily more complex with a layered and wonderfully nuanced nose of clove, anise and crushed pepper adding interest to the mostly red berry fruits that display bass notes of earth, game and underbrush. The big-boned flavors are mouth coating and dusty but avoid any sense of underlying dryness on the classy, serious and hugely long finish. A beast but a well-mannered one." (01/2008)

Of the 2006 Sociando Mallet, Haut-Médoc,Wine Enthusiast writes: " *Cellar Selection* With a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has both structured and superbly rich fruit. The tannins are firm, but show a sweet, enticing edge to them, giving a full body and classic, fresh black currant acidity. An impressive wine, which definitely needs to age—five years or more. 2006 Far Niente Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Far Niente Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE, 91RP, 89WS). 95 points Wine Enthusiast: "One for the cellar. Shows a dramatic structure of firm, dusty tannins, brightened with acidity, framing complex, long and deep flavors of black currants, cassis, dark unsweetened chocolate, smoky cedar, anise and spices, undergirded by a firm minerality. Best after 2010 and through 2014, at least." (12/09) 91 points Robert Parker: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a backward, dense purple-hued effort displaying plenty of licorice, black currant, smoke, and charcoal characteristics, along with full-bodied power, a layered, opulent mouthfeel, and moderate tannin in its youthful finish. It is capable of lasting 20 or more years." (12/09) 89 points Wine Spectator: "Sleek and complex, full-bodied and Bordeaux-like, with an earthy mineral edge to the dried berry and currant flavors that are subdued and tightly wound, ending with earthy tannins. Needs time. Best from 20

2006 Uccelliera Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Uccelliera Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 96RP, 94WE, 93WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " In the first flight of five, #3 had by far the darkest color. Deep, rich, sweet, fruit-filled, and oaky nose is very sexy and dramatic. Lots of black cherry, pepper, minerals, leather, and chocolate. Equally dramatic in the mouth; clearly a youthful Brunello in the modern camp. We are particularly impressed with this wine’s mouth feel, which envelops the palate. Big and brawny with tannin to shed and very good acidity. Long, powerful, consistent finish. Already impressive, yet a great candidate for the cellar! Not to everyone’s taste, still, half the room fell in love with #3. (Executive Wine Seminar)" (03/2012)

Of the 2006 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Second Flight is a beautiful classy wine. Here the significant presence of Merlot (33%) helps to round out the Cabernet Sauvignon that is so distinctive in Screaming Eagle. Overall, this is a fairly generous expression of the year with plenty of the estate’s signatures. Over time, a compelling melange of savory herbs, spices and minerals comes alive in the glass."

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Viña Cobos "Marchiori Vineyard" Malbec Mendoza (99RP, 93WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "According to Hobbs, 2006 was one of the great vintages of his 20 year career in Argentina. The near perfect 2006 Cobos Malbec Marchiori Vineyard is my favorite of this remarkable collection. A glass-coating, saturated opaque purple/black in color, the wine offers up a sexy/kinky bouquet of pain grille, Asian spices, pencil lead, mineral, lavender, blueberry, and black cherry. On the palate there is layer upon layer of savory fruit, spice notes, espresso, and chocolate as well as exquisite balance. The wine’s finish lasts for more than a minute. Try a bottle, bury the rest in your cellar for ten years, and then drink them from 2018 to 2040. " (12/2008)
