2002 Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut Champagne (Previously $349) Top Pick!
2002 Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut Champagne (Previously $349)

99 points James Suckling: "Super fresh, this is striking given the 10 years in the cellars; it has a fine citrus nose - plenty of lemon, grapefruit, yellow chalky notes, some lighter floral elements too. The palate is super dry (dosage at 3-4g) and there's a silky, sherbet-like texture, smooth, fine and long. The citrus flavours give way to the driving surging acidity, thunderous acidity, really driving and powerful. The finish twists very slowly through to light-toasted cashew fruit flavours, but lemon citrus prevails. This is thrilling Champagne. Disgorged 22nd October, 2013. Dr ...Read More »

2008 Louis Roederer Brut Champagne

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "A deliciously ripe wine, full of fruit as well as a great mineral texture. It completely expresses the exceptional 2008 with all its structure. Still young, it’s all fruit and freshness that promise serious bottle aging. Drink this complex, serious wine from 2017." (12/2014)93 points Antonio Galloni: "The 2008 Brut races across the palate with gorgeous depth and resonance. Dried pear, spice, mint, anise and wild flowers meld together in the glass. Broad, ample and voluptuous, the 2008 possesses fabulous richness in all dimensions. Beams of acidity and minerality give the 2008 much o ...Read More »

2008 Launois Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne

We began importing the Champagnes of Launois more than a decade ago, though we haven't been able to promote them properly because our allocations were very tight. Fortunately for us, Bernard Launois has decided to export more! Champagne Launois' wines are highly sought-after, so much so, in fact, that we've sold their Champagne to Champenois who can't get it at home! Bernard Launois does things differently than the rest of his neighbors, picking a week to 10 days later and using only massal-selected plants rather than the more common clones. All of the C... 2004 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne Top Pick!
2004 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne

97 points Antonio Galloni: "This tasting only serves to highlight just how great the 2004 Dom Pérignon is. A wine that has totally blossomed in bottle, the 2004 is firing on all cylinders right now. Rich, ample and beautifully nuanced, the 2004 has it all; expressive aromatics, deep fruit and more than enough structure to age well for decades. I have been tasting the 2004 since before it was released and it just keeps getting better and better. Today, it is stunning. It is amazing to consider that in 2004, yields were the largest ever recorded in Champagne. (AG)" (5/2014)96 points James Suckling: "A return to ...Read More »

2002 Salon Blanc de Blancs Champagne

100 points Wine Enthusiast: "The 35th and most recent vintage of Salon since the house was founded in 1905 is memorable and magnificent. Made only from Chardonnay grown in the Grand Cru village of Les Mesnil-sur-Oger, it combines intense minerality, a crisp textured core and the beginnings of maturity. The depths of this wine, with its layers of fruit and steeliness, are superb. Even after 12 years, it still needs to age further. Drink from 2018. Cellar Selections." 2008 Michel Arnould Vintage "Carte d'Or" Brut Champagne

This grower-producer in Verzenay only produces vintage Champagne from their oldest vines in the most exceptional years. According to the winemaker, the 2008 Carte d'Or is "discreet and subtle with aromas of fresh breadcrumbs and apricots. The attack is soft and smooth giving this wine a certain delicacy. In the mouth, we notice aromas of English sweets combined with notes of lemon. The finale is avid and winey with a subtle impression of iodine giving this wine balance and subtlety." 2006 Fluteau "Symbiose" Brut Champagne

Made entirely from estate-grown fruit, the Symbiose is composed of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir from Gye-Sur-Seine in the southernmost part of Champagne. This wine is so clean, subtle and balanced that it will be finished before you know it. I think that is embodies all the best traits of this very good vintage; it is vibrant, pure and best of all, classically styled Champagne. I plan on putting a case in the cellar for myself! 91 points Wine Spectator: "Firm and focused, this structured version offers a well-meshed range of dried apricot, almond biscotti and cassis flavors, showing a clean chalkiness to the texture. Drink now through 2026." (3/2014) K&L Notes: Baron Fuente is a négociant that owns almost 90 acres of vines and purchases another 90 acres "sur pied," meaning that they pick the grapes. This is an important distinction since many négociants buy "sur lattes," meaning in bottle! Full-bodied and vibrant, this is a highly elegant, very mineral, pure, fresh, firm, tense and persistent Champagne of great complexity. It is still very young but has a great aging potential. As it has matured, the wine’s richness is at once more baroque and more seamlessly woven into a deep golden beauty. Rather than fresh, it feels brisk and lithe. Rich and textured on the palate, yet beautifully supported by veins of minerality, the 2006 is simply impeccable from the very first taste. The richer, honeyed notes typical of Chardonnay in this vintage are particularly evident today while the Meunier, which has higher acidity, keeps things bright, although it plays a lesser part in the overall blend than in years past. 2007 Michel Arnould "Memoire de Vignes" Brut Champagne

We only received seven cases of this 2007. This is exclusively old vine Pinot Noir (over 60 years) from the best parcel in Patrick's holdings and he only makes one press load. This is vinous, powerful, black fruited Champagne in the mold of the Vieilles Vignes Francaises from Bollinger. Because of the north-facing exposure, the wine retains its finesse even at the very high level of concentration that it has. Even the fullest cellar should be rearranged for a little of this. 2009 Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus Blanc de Blancs Champagne

This all-Chardonnay, all-estate Champagne is super exciting, and any real Champagne fan should try it at least once! This brut zero does not come across as austerely dry, but is rather rich due the exceptional ripeness of the two plots in Vertus that this wine is sourced from and the broadness of the 2009 harvest. Vibrant, with a lovely, lacy texture and racy acidity that persists on the mouthwatering finish. Drink now through 2028." (11/2013)93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay; L3006183): Bright gold. 2004 Moët & Chandon "Grand Vintage" Brut Rosé Champagne

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "This serious, ripe offering is packed with red berry and stone fruit flavors. It also has complex touches of toast and acidity, producing a sense of dryness. This is finely balanced and is now ready to drink, but it will also likely age for a few more years" (12/2012)93 points Wine Spectator: "A firm, focused version, this is driven by smoke-tinged minerality and racy acidity, while flavors of strawberry pâte de fruit, candied orange zest, apricot tart and ground ginger and clove mesh with the sleek structure. Drink now through 2026." (12/2013)92 points Antonio Galloni: "Much more typical of the year, 2004 Bru ...Read More »

2002 Moet & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (1.5L)

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Dom Perignon is at first intensely floral, with perfumed jasmine that dominates the bouquet. With time in the glass the wine gains richness as the flavors turn decidedly riper and almost tropical. Ripe apricots, passion fruit and peaches emerge from this flashy, opulent Dom Perignon. The wine's volume makes it approachable today, but readers in search of more complexity will want to cellar this for at least a few years to allow for some of the baby fat to drop off. Geoffroy describes the vintage as very ripe and adds that some of the Chardonnay ...Read More »

2008 Louis Roederer Brut Rosé Champagne 1.5L Back In Stock!
2008 Louis Roederer Brut Rosé Champagne 1.5L

95 points Wine & Spirits: "This is the first vintage released from the new cellar Roederer built in 2007, dedicated to the production of rosé. It comes from the firm’s estate vineyard in Cumières. With the delicate color of a classic saignée Champagne, this has the powerful expression of a grand cru wine, performing beyond its premier cru status. The fragrant red fruit has rich succulence and a chalky undertow, along with a fierce acidity that needs time to temper in the bottle. Decant it if you open this now, to serve with mousse truffée." (12/2013)94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Still young and fruity, this is ...Read More »

97 points Wine Spectator: "**Collectibles** A vibrant and expressive version, showing a pleasing tension to the interplay of mouthwatering acidity and fleur de sel-tinged minerality, with fine layers of poached quince, peach skin, ground coffee, toasted hazelnut, clover honey and cumin flavors. Spice and mineral notes ring out on the finish. Drink now through 2030." (11/2013)96 points Antonio Galloni: "Krug's 2000 Brut Blanc de Blancs Clos du Mesnil keeps getting better and better. The flavors are starting to develop lovely layers of complexity, while the wine is also fleshing out a bit, releasing gorgeous la ...Read More »
