2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red Wine
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red Wine (93RP, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Red Wine is composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, with the balance Cabernet Franc and Malbec. As always, it is a great value offering a fragrant, already complex nose of confiture of black fruits, incense, and Asian spices. On the palate it is savory and elegant with a plush texture. It is likely to evolve for several years but there is no compelling reason to defer gratification.Quilceda Creek remains Washington’s benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. (JM)" (08/2010)

Of the 2011 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Aubert's 2011 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is easily the most refined of the wines in this range of Pinots. Intensely perfumed and layered -- but not at all heavy -- the UV-SL has all its elements in perfect balance. Savory herbs, licorice, mint, plums and black cherries all come to life in the glass, but ultimately, the 2011 stands out most for its silkiness, grace and exceptional overall balance. Of the 2012 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is a beautiful wine that comes from four vineyards, Gap’s Crown, Griffin’s Lair, Terra de Promissio and Walala. It has a deep ruby/semi-opaque color that is followed by a youthful, rich and concentrated wine offering classic dark cherries, plum, licorice, ground herbs and baking-spice-driven aromas and flavors. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (97AG, 97JS, 97RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Moving on to the vineyard designated Syrahs and a fantastic vintage for this cuvee, which goes back to the 2005, 2006 and 2007 levels of richness, the 2009 Syrah Reva (100% Syrah aged 42-months in French oak) offers up more fruit and purity than normal, with only hints of its normal iodine/seaweed tinged profile. Loaded with sweet black raspberry, cassis, wild herbs, flowers and subtle blood and iodine qualities, it is a full-bodied, decadent Syrah that has incredible mid-palate depth, beautiful freshness and a blockbuster finish. It will continue to gain in depth and richness with short-term cellaring and have an easy 12-15 years or ultimate longevity. Drink 2015-2024. (JD)" (08/2013)

Of the 1992 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The deeper purple-colored 1992 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which is being released in February, 1997, does not exhibit any of the Alexander Valley's herbaceous side. It offers more of the classic blackcurrant, cedar character. There is plenty of high quality, sexy, smoky oak in the nose to go along with copious quantities of jammy black fruits. Full-bodied, with a creamy texture, and a sweet, expansive, chewy mid-section, this dense, exceptionally rich 1992 will provide gorgeous drinking for 12-15 years. 2005 Grace Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L)
Bid on this 1L-bottle of 2005 Grace Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, saturated ruby-red. Deep aromas of black fruits, violet, tobacco, licorice, minerals, nuts and earth. Lush, rich and sweet, with an intriguing smoky character and lovely lightness for a wine with so much breadth and volume. Unusually powerful and deep for this bottling; complex and distinctive. In a rather Old World style, with complex soil tones currently dominating primary fruitiness. Finishes broad and dry, with very lush, fine tannins. A superb vintage for this estate. Winemaker Brookman noted that this was a large crop but the team made three separate passes through the vines to reduce the crop level and then harvested later than ever here. The Grace wine was once aged in all new barrels but as of 2005 that percentage has been cut to 80% to 85%." (05/2008)

Smoke, licorice, violets and earthy notes add depth and gravitas to a Pinot of mysterious, seductive beauty and compelling balance. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The delicious 2008 Pinot Noir Estate (just under 4,000 cases produced) is one of the finest generic Pinots one can find from Russian River. It exhibits sweet pomegranate, raspberry, cherry, roasted herb notes along with a hint of smoky oak in its seductive, round, opulent personality. It should drink well for 7-8 years." (02/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The only one of Christophe’s Syrahs to be co-fermented with Viognier, the 2010 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard (90% Syrah, 10% Viognier) shows the least amount of Cayuse funk and has classic northern Rhone-like aromas and flavors of black raspberry, black pepper, edgy minerality, spring flowers and hints of bacon fat. Gaining additional complexity and nuances with air, it is silky and polished on the palate, with full-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant texture and remarkable persistence and length on the finish. One of those wines that delivers incredible amounts of fruit and texture without ever seeming heavy, it is a brilliant wine that will benefit from a handful of years in the cellar and shine for 10-15 years. It’s a powerhouse at 15.8% alcohol, aged almost completely in 350-liter hogsheads. The unusually high percentage of Syrah has given it an almost opaque purple color, with an extraordinary nose

Full-bodied, but closed, with gorgeously pure black fruits, powerful, loamy, earthy scents along with fruit and extract, this wine also needs 5-6 years of cellaring, and should easily last through the first 2-3 decades of the next century." 2003 Philip Togni Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2003 Philip Togni Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94AG, (91-92ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. For those who don’t know, Togni has always made an uncompromising Cabernet meant for 20, 30, maybe even 40 or more years of cellaring. Gorgeously rich notes of black olives, black currants, graphite and wood smoke jump from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-colored, Medoc-styled 2003. At age ten, it displays a youthfulness similar to a 4- to 5-year-old wine. The finish is long, convincing and rich. It is reminiscent of a Spring Mountain version of a hybrid blend of St.-Julien and Pauillac. Unique to Napa and as distinctive as Philip Togni himself, it will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring and should last longer than your author. By the way, my cellar includes many vintages of Togni, and I rarely touch them before they

Of the 2003 Pride Mountain Napa/Sonoma Counties Merlot (1.5L),Wine Spectator writes: "An openly seductive style, with ripe currant, blackberry and wild berry fruit shaded by splashy mocha and espresso bean oak flavors. A blend of 96% Syrah, 2.5% Mourvedre and 1.5% Viognier (from the Eleven Confessions, White Hawk, Alban, Bien Nacido, and Alta Mesa vineyards) that was aged in 80% new French oak, it offers up a perfumed, fresh bouquet of sweet blackberry liqueur, creme de cassis, spring flowers and licorice that gives way to a full-bodied, seamless, gorgeously textured feel on the palate. Rich and decadent, it has notable, yet beautifully integrated acidity and stays remarkably fresh, detailed and even elegant. It still needs a lengthy decant to shine, and will continue to thrill over the coming decade or so. (JD)" (07/2014)

Of the 2009 Sine Qua Non "This Is Not An Exit" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "An extended barrel-aged release, the 2009 Syrah This Is Not An Exit is 100% from the Santa Rita Hills Eleven Confessions Vineyard and checks in as a blend of 80% Syrah, 12% Grenache, 7% Roussanne and 1% Viognier that saw 41.5 months in 65% new French oak. Slightly exotic, with notions of kirsch, flower oil, smoked meats, licorice and graphite, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, loads of fruit and a blockbuster finish. More approachable than the 2010 extended barrel age Syrah, this beauty will still have 15+ years of longevity. Drink now

Its evolved light gold color is accompanied by a provocative nose of crushed rocks interwoven with orange liqueur, hazelnuts, and earth. Given its steely core of fruit, it is the most Chablisean of the 2004 Chardonnays. (RP)" (12/2005)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Ridge Vineyards "Jimsomare" Santa Cruz Mountains Zinfandel. The five-hundred-acre Jimsomare Ranch, located between 1300' and 2000' on Monte Bello Ridge, is one of Ridge's earliest grape sources. First cultivated in the late eighteen-hundreds by the Alsatian Pierre Klein, this prime viticultural land has been in San Francisco's Schwabacher family for seventy years; Ridge took over farming in 1996 under the terms of a thirty-year lease. The Cabernet from this property is largely included in the Monte Bello bottling now, and the Zin enjoys a similar pedigree from the small block of nineteenth-century vines which have produced many intense and distinctive wines.

2011 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 5" Central Coast Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 5" Central Coast Syrah (97AG, 97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the top 2011s, the 2011 Cumulus Vineyard #5 is a similar blend to the 2010, with 42% Syrah, 32% Grenache, 16% Mourvedre, 7% Petite Sirah and 3% Touriga Nacional. There’s slightly less whole cluster inclusion here (8%), and it spent 30 months in 45% new French oak. Roughly 257 cases were made. More savory and chewy, it boasts knockouts aromas and flavors of cassis, liquid smoke, ground pepper and hints of tar to go with a full-bodied, rich, structured, yet thrillingly textured profile on the palate. It too needs short-term cellaring, and will have upward of two decade of longevity." (08/2014)

Fresh acids, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a seductive, lush finish suggest it should provide plenty of pleasure over the next decade. (RP)" (02/2010)

It possesses a more saturated ruby/purple color, as well as a more flamboyant and exotic bouquet. Moreoever, it seems less evolved. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah ((95-97AG), (94-96RP), (92-93ST), 93WS). Antonio Galloni: "The 2010 Syrah Reva is magnificent. Blue and blackish tone fruits, smoke, tar, licorice, cloves and menthol all flesh out in a supple, exotic wine endowed with superb depth and polish. An explosive finish rounds things out beautifully in this impeccable, opulent Syrah. The 2010 spent 44 months in oak, 70% new, all of which it has handled with grace. Of the three 2010 Syrahs, this is the wine I would personally reach for more often, as it is truly stellar. John and Lorraine Alban's winery is stripped down to the barest essentials. There is no fancy tasting room, just a makeshift table and a couple of chairs in the middle of fermentation tanks and barrels. Offers still go out to the mailing list via snail mail. It's great to know all of the emphasis is where it matters - the vineyards and wines. The 2010 Pandora and Reva are the highlights in this range of show stop

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (98RP, 97WE, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From his high-density 2001 planting, Baron’s 2009 Syrah Armada Vineyard leads with a high-toned, penetrating nose that one can scarcely avoid calling Cote Rotie-like: bacon fat, fresh cherry, kirsch, framboise, and violet. But there are also black tea, caramel, and a penetrating note of sealing wax that’s reminiscent of mature Bordeaux. Around one quarter of the 600-liter barrels in which this was raised were new. Dense, fine-grained but more evident tannins than in most of the present collection appear on a palate whose savory salinity and saliva-inducement, however, are utterly Cayuesque. " (12/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel Panoplie" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 94JS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Esprit de Beaucastel ‘Panoplie’ flows with the essence of dark plums, black cherries, licorice and leather. It is bigger, richer and darker than the straight Esprit, with more inner palate sweetness and sheer power. Tar, spices, iron, crushed rocks and a host of other dark aromas and flavors give the Panoplie much of its distinctive brooding, inward personality ... This is a fabulous effort from Tablas Creek. 2003 Philip Togni Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2003 Philip Togni Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 94AG, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. By the way, my cellar includes many vintages of Togni, and I rarely touch them

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1999 Pride Mountain "Mountaintop Vineyard" Sonoma County Merlot (94RP, (91-94ST), 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Merlot Vintner's Select Mountaintop Vineyard, a new offering, is a selection of Jim Pride and Robert Foley's favorite Merlot lots. Approximately 20% Cabernet Sauvignon has been added to the blend. This is a "balls to the walls" sort of wine ... opaque purple-colored, with notes of melted fudge intermixed with dense black cherry, tightly wound, but oh, so concentrated flavors. The depth, sweetness of fruit, and richness of the tannin are incredible given the fact that this wine emerged from such a cool year. This is one of the finest California Merlots I have tasted.
