2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red Wine
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red Wine (93RP, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Red Wine is composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, with the balance Cabernet Franc and Malbec. As always, it is a great value offering a fragrant, already complex nose of confiture of black fruits, incense, and Asian spices. On the palate it is savory and elegant with a plush texture. It is likely to evolve for several years but there is no compelling reason to defer gratification.Quilceda Creek remains Washington’s benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. (JM)" (08/2010)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The full-bodied 2002 Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard exhibits a distinctive composty/earthy component along with notes of liquid minerals, grapefruit, buttered citrus, and a steely, green-tinged flavor profile reminiscent of a full-bodied French Chablis on steroids. Of the 2011 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Aubert's 2011 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is easily the most refined of the wines in this range of Pinots. Intensely perfumed and layered -- but not at all heavy -- the UV-SL has all its elements in perfect balance. Savory herbs, licorice, mint, plums and black cherries all come to life in the glass, but ultimately, the 2011 stands out most for its silkiness, grace and exceptional overall balance. Expressive floral notes add considerable freshness on the close. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2026. (AG)" (04/2013)

Of the 2012 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is a beautiful wine that comes from four vineyards, Gap’s Crown, Griffin’s Lair, Terra de Promissio and Walala. It has a deep ruby/semi-opaque color that is followed by a youthful, rich and concentrated wine offering classic dark cherries, plum, licorice, ground herbs and baking-spice-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, layered and structured, it opens up beautifully with air, has seamlessly integrated fruit, tannin and alcohol, and stays classy and nicely focused on the finish. 1997 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1997 d'Yquem, Sauternes (96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational Yquem, 1997 may be this estate's finest effort since 1990 (although I would not discount the 1996 turning out to be nearly as good). The 1997's light gold color is accompanied a gorgeous perfume of caramel, honeysuckle, peach, apricot, and smoky wood. Full-bodied and unctuously-textured, with good underlying acidity as well as loads of sweetness and glycerin, it looks to be a great vintage for this renowned Sauternes estate. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2055." (04/2003)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-94BH), 92RP, (90-92ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is very reduced though there is good freshness and verve to the notably rich and generous medium-bodied flavors that display enough minerality to add lift to the taut and muscular finish that packs plenty of punch but not rusticity. This is markedly austere and exceptionally serious and I would also describe this as very old school. I would advise buying this only with the intention of cellaring it for the long-term." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard is another wine with superb integrity in its fruit and terrific overall balance. Juicy red berries, hard candy, flowers, mint and spices are all woven together nicely. The whole clusters are very nicely balanced. There is wonderful focus and vibrancy throughout, leading to a weightless, totally gracious finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2022. (AG)" (08/2012)

Of the 1995 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Wine Spectator writes: "A seductive style, with lots of spicy, vanilla-scented oak that leads to a rich, complex core of currant, black cherry, olive and plum. 2009 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (97AG, 97JS, 97RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Moving on to the vineyard designated Syrahs and a fantastic vintage for this cuvee, which goes back to the 2005, 2006 and 2007 levels of richness, the 2009 Syrah Reva (100% Syrah aged 42-months in French oak) offers up more fruit and purity than normal, with only hints of its normal iodine/seaweed tinged profile. Loaded with sweet black raspberry, cassis, wild herbs, flowers and subtle blood and iodine qualities, it is a full-bodied, decadent Syrah that has incredible mid-palate depth, beautiful freshness and a blockbuster finish. It will continue to gain in depth and richness with short-term cellaring and have an easy 12-15 years or ultimate longevity. Drink 2015-2024. (JD)" (08/2013)

Of the 1992 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The deeper purple-colored 1992 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which is being released in February, 1997, does not exhibit any of the Alexander Valley's herbaceous side. It offers more of the classic blackcurrant, cedar character. There is plenty of high quality, sexy, smoky oak in the nose to go along with copious quantities of jammy black fruits. Full-bodied, with a creamy texture, and a sweet, expansive, chewy mid-section, this dense, exceptionally rich 1992 will provide gorgeous drinking for 12-15 years. 2005 Grace Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L)
Bid on this 1L-bottle of 2005 Grace Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, saturated ruby-red. Deep aromas of black fruits, violet, tobacco, licorice, minerals, nuts and earth. Lush, rich and sweet, with an intriguing smoky character and lovely lightness for a wine with so much breadth and volume. Unusually powerful and deep for this bottling; complex and distinctive. In a rather Old World style, with complex soil tones currently dominating primary fruitiness. Finishes broad and dry, with very lush, fine tannins. A superb vintage for this estate. Winemaker Brookman noted that this was a large crop but the team made three separate passes through the vines to reduce the crop level and then harvested later than ever here. The Grace wine was once aged in all new barrels but as of 2005 that percentage has been cut to 80% to 85%." (05/2008)

Smoke, licorice, violets and earthy notes add depth and gravitas to a Pinot of mysterious, seductive beauty and compelling balance. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The delicious 2008 Pinot Noir Estate (just under 4,000 cases produced) is one of the finest generic Pinots one can find from Russian River. It exhibits sweet pomegranate, raspberry, cherry, roasted herb notes along with a hint of smoky oak in its seductive, round, opulent personality. It should drink well for 7-8 years." (02/2010)

2010 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The only one of Christophe’s Syrahs to be co-fermented with Viognier, the 2010 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard (90% Syrah, 10% Viognier) shows the least amount of Cayuse funk and has classic northern Rhone-like aromas and flavors of black raspberry, black pepper, edgy minerality, spring flowers and hints of bacon fat. Gaining additional complexity and nuances with air, it is silky and polished on the palate, with full-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant texture and remarkable persistence and length on the finish. One of those wines that delivers incredible amounts of fruit and texture without ever seeming heavy, it is a brilliant wine that will benefit from a handful of years in the cellar and shine for 10-15 years. It’s a powerhouse at 15.8% alcohol, aged almost completely in 350-liter hogsheads. The unusually high percentage of Syrah has given it an almost opaque purple color, with an extraordinary nose

2003 Philip Togni Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2003 Philip Togni Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94AG, (91-92ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. For those who don’t know, Togni has always made an uncompromising Cabernet meant for 20, 30, maybe even 40 or more years of cellaring. Gorgeously rich notes of black olives, black currants, graphite and wood smoke jump from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-colored, Medoc-styled 2003. At age ten, it displays a youthfulness similar to a 4- to 5-year-old wine. The finish is long, convincing and rich. It is reminiscent of a Spring Mountain version of a hybrid blend of St.-Julien and Pauillac. Unique to Napa and as distinctive as Philip Togni himself, it will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring and should last longer than your author. By the way, my cellar includes many vintages of Togni, and I rarely touch them before they

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "More aromatically expressive and slightly riper with textured, precise and detailed flavors that are on the light side for a Clos de Vougeot and while there is nothing wrong with trading elegance for power, especially when there is good intensity like there is here, I worry when the phenolic maturity is limited. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Vaudésir" (94BH, 93RP, 93ST, 92WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is even more elegant than it usually is, which is saying something as there is a good argument to be made that the Fèvre Vaudésir is the current reference standard for the vineyard though I hasten to add that it's by no means an open and shut case. A pure and almost delicate nose that is decidedly more austere than virtually any of the preceding wines opens with a classic green fruit aromatic profile brimming with Chablis character that is followed by rich, full, naturally sweet and equally powerful flavors of simply incredible purity and focus as they finish with outstanding intensity that is borderline painful. This is a dramatic wine yet perfectly composed with a pronounced stony quality and the backend is bone dry and almost salty." (10/2009)

Bid on this 11-bottle lot of 1994 M. Chapoutier "Barbe Rac" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Barbe Rac possesses a textbook Provencal bouquet of lavender, garrigue, herbs, black olives, and jammy black-cherry scents. Powerful flavors bursting with extract and glycerin provide immense volume and force in the mouth, as well as a surprising sense of elegance and finesse. This full-bodied Chateauneuf du Pape will come around much sooner than the 1995 (4-6 years), yet it will drink well for two decades. (RP)" (01/1997)

Bid on this 9-bottle lot of 2005 Martinelli "Bondi Home Ranch—Water Trough Vineyard" Green Valley Pinot Noir (93ST, 92WS, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Light red. Highly complex nose features dark cherry, lavender, musky earth and mineral aromas; this was raised in 100% new oak but I find the influence minimal. Bright cherry and dark berry flavors are concentrated and show excellent energy, with dusty tannins lending grip. Finishes with a light, crisp texture and a lingering floral pastille note. 2005 Larcis-Ducasse, St-Emilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Larcis-Ducasse, St-Emilion (98RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This great terroir on the Cote Pavie has long been recognized as one of the most privileged spots in St.-Emilion, but it was not until the wunderkind duo of Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt took over in 2002 that the wine finally began to live up to its potential. Old timers who remember the 1945 Larcis Ducasse will attest to how great this cuvee can be. Sadly, fewer than 3,000 cases were produced of the 2005, a blend of 78% Merlot and the rest primarily Cabernet Franc with a small dollop of Cabernet Sauvignon. Yields were a modest 27 hectoliters per hectare. This stunning effort reveals one of the most extraordinary aromatic displays of the vintage, offering up notes of sweet roasted herbs, jus du viande, black olives, espresso roast, creme de cassis, and kirsch liqueur. Extremely full-bodied, opulent, and lavishly textured with plush tannin as well as an ethereal

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Pauillac (94RP, 93JS, 92WS, (88-91ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Consumers should take note as this estate is clearly benefiting from increased attention from the Rothschilds. The 2003 may be the finest Duhart-Milon made ... ever! A blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot, it boasts a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to a big, sweet perfume of black fruits interwoven with roasted herbs and meat juice offered in a muscular, full-bodied style. Full-bodied, dense, and well-structured, this stunning cuvee is best consumed between 2010-2030.A spectacular wine, and one that could have been bought for a song when it was released, this blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot was cropped at 33 hectoliters per hectare. Strutting all of its nobility, richness and majesty in 2014, it boasts abundant notes of cedarwood, creme de cassis, licorice and a hint of lead pencil shavings. It changes all the time from flowers to fruit and wet earth. Full-bodied, with super fine tannins and ripe fruit. It's long and juicy with lovely fruit. Super long and beautiful, with fine tannins that last for minutes. Tight now, but juicy and gorgeous. Best ever from here. Try in 2020." (02/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan (96RP, 94WE, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine stands out as a sensational effort just a few years away from full maturity. A 50/50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine displays loads of scorched earth and smoky barbecue scents along with blueberry, black raspberry and black currant. The wine is expansive, has a savory, broad palate and a full-bodied mouthfeel, yet possesses vivid purity and uplift. The tannins are still present, but they are sweet and well-integrated. This wine should hit full maturity in another year or two and last for at least 20 more years. (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (97RP, 94WS, 93JS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The plushest, most ostentatious and dramatic of all the Leovilles in 2000, this wine is already sumptuous, displaying some nuances in its huge nose of vanilla bean, black chocolate, jammy black cherries, cassis, and graphite in a flamboyant style. Opulent, savory, rich, and full-bodied, it is a head-turning, prodigious wine and a complete contrast to the extracted behemoth of Leoville Barton and the backward, classic Leoville Las Cases. The Poyferre’s low acidity, sweet tannin and an already gorgeous mouthfeel make it a wine to drink now as well as over the next 25 or more years. (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Peby Faugères, St-Emilion (95RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A terrific effort, and one of the stars of the vintage, the 1998 boasts an opaque, thick looking, black/purple color in addition to gorgeous aromatics consisting of blackberries, blueberries, smoke, minerals, and vanillin. Extremely full-bodied and rich, yet harmonious, with a seamless personality as well as beautifully-integrated acidity and tannin, this blockbuster effort is one of the great surprises of the vintage. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Pavie Macquin, St-Emilion (98RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It appears consumers can’t go wrong with any 2005 with the word "Pavie" in its name. This outstanding terroir, elevated to Premier Grand Cru Classe status in St.-Emilion’s reclassification, is run with impeccable attention to detail by Nicolas Thienpont, who is assisted by winemaking guru, Stephane Derenoncourt. The 2005 Pavie Macquin may turn out to be this duo’s finest wine to date. This is a moderately large vineyard (37 acres) for the area, and the blend tends to be 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. A black/purple color is accompanied by aromas of charcoal, burning embers, crushed rocks, sweet, pure, blueberries and blackberries, chocolaty creme de cassis, and licorice. It possesses massive concentration, phenomenal levels of tannin, and good acidity, but it is even more backward than either Pavie or Pavie Decesse. A modern day elixir that sh

Of the 2010 Tablas Creek Paso Robles Grenache,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Leading off the 2010s and a superb Grenache that’s overflowing with sweet red and black berry fruit, spice, underbrush, new saddle leather and hints of spring flowers on the nose, the 2010 Grenache is medium to full-bodied, gorgeously textured and possesses a rich, full mid-palate that carries into a structured, lengthy finish. Count me a fan. This is easily the best vintage of this cuvee to date. It will benefit from another year or two in the cellar and have upwards of 10-12 years of ultimate longevity. (JD)" (08/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Faiveley Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-94BH), 91ST). Aged completely in small French oak barrels, it boasts a striking minerality, a wonderfully dense ruby/purple color and sweet notes of creme de cassis, black raspberries, licorice, crushed rocks and spring flowers.
