2004 Larkmead "Solari Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Larkmead "Solari Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another titan of Napa Valley is Larkmead’s 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Solari Reserve. Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, it is a sumptuous, virtually perfect expression of wine with an inky/purple color, beautiful floral aromas intermixed with sweet, pure black currants and hints of licorice as well as subtle oak. The extraordinary ripeness of the tannins, the flawless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol, the remarkable finish, and the full-bodied texture make for a tour de force in winemaking. It can be drunk now, but will benefit from another 2-3 years of cellaring. It will age effortlessly for 20-40+ years. (RP)" (04/2014)

1996 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1996 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (92RP, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This impressive wine is a classic. Although backward, it exhibits a dense ruby/purple color in addition to abundant black currant fruit intertwined with spicy oak and truffle-like scents. The wine is brilliantly made, full-bodied, and tightly-structured with plenty of muscle and outstanding concentration and purity. It should turn out to be a long-lived Leoville Barton, and somewhat of a sleeper. However, patience will be required. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2030. (RP)" (04/1999)

1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (91RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pichon Longueville Baron's 1996 has turned out to be even better than I thought from cask. The high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend (about 80%) resulted in a wine that has put on weight in the bottle. An opaque purple color is accompanied by beautiful aromas of tobacco, new saddle leather, roasted coffee, and cassis. It is dense, medium to full-bodied, and backward, with moderately high tannin, but plenty of sweet fruit, glycerin, and extract to balance out the wine's structure. This well-endowed, classic Pauillac should be at its finest between 2006-2022." (04/1999)

1975 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1975 Margaux, Margaux. Wine Spectator: "This has given way to the remnants of a sinewy, cedary spine, with dried blood orange and bitter cherry notes and flickers of clove and tobacco. Almost a shell of a wine now, but still there's elegance and length hanging on, as the DNA of the vineyard lingers. (Web-2014)"

2003 Angélus, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Angélus, St-Emilion (99RP, 94WS, 93JS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the great successes in St. Emilion in 2003, this wine has actually gotten better over the last eleven years. Pushing perfection, this blend of 57% Cabernet Franc (the highest ever at Angelus) and 43% Merlot boasts a dense purple color as well as a sublime set of aromatics, including forest floor, blue, red and black fruits, charcoal and hints of licorice and wood spice. Long, opulent, voluptuously textured and incredibly youthful and fresh, this full-bodied, tour de force in winemaking is an absolute legend in the making. It is an incredible accomplishment for a Right Bank 2003. Kudos to Hubert de Bouard for his vision as well as his perfectionist personality. This beauty should age for 5-10 more years. Layers of fruit blossom in the glass as this fleshy seductive wine continues to open up. Rich and multi-dimensional, the 2009 impresses for the way it covers every inch of the palate. This beautiful effort, which sees about 60% new French oak, should drink well for 4-5 years. " (12/2005)

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Kapcsandy Family "State Lane Vineyard Roberta's Reserve" Napa Valley Red Blend (96RP, 93ST, 92JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Roberta’s Reserve State Lane Vineyard is potentially the finest Merlot being made in California, although it has several noteworthy competitors, particularly Pahlmeyer. The Roberta’s Reserve exhibits classic Merlot notes of chocolate fudge and mocha intertwined with black currants, sweet black cherries, and hints of smoke and forest floor. The complex aromatics are accompanied by an opulent, lush wine displaying terrific definition. Approachable now, it should last for 25-30 years. (RP)"

2004 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (95JS, 94WS, 92RP, 91ST). James Suckling: "*Daily Collectibles* This is another example of the wonderful 2004 vintage for Bordeaux. They are so delicious to drink now. The Cos is one of the best out there. And very reasonably priced at less than $150 a bottle. The charcuterie that hits you as soon as you open this Bordeaux is overwhelming: It's smoky, spicy and sexy. Minutes later you realize the complexity on offer, catching just a scent of the dark fruits hidden beneath, and before those, long and wonderful hints of balsamic vinegar. On the palate this shows elegance and finesse thanks to fabulous balance, extremely integrated tannins and a long and glorious finish. This is so satisfying and wonderful now, but the slightly bitter aftertaste on the rear palate suggests this could do with at least another 10 years before opening. " (08/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru ((93-96BH), 95ST, 94RP, 94WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Don't Miss!* As is usually the case, this offers an appreciable step up in elegance with dazzlingly pure aromas of stone, pear, acacia blossom, citrus and spice hints, all of which carry over to the wonderful and almost painfully intense medium weight flavors that display superb drive yet immaculate balance on the superbly long finish. Like the Bâtard, this is flat out stunning." (02/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium from the Weitz Vineyard reveals lots of minerality along with sweet red and black currants, licorice, graphite and spring flowers. Deep and full-bodied, it is displaying a lot of tannin in addition to a reserved, backward, brooding style. 2004 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay (94RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Chardonnay shows that wonderful liquified rockiness, as if someone took a couple of boulders, threw them in a Cuisinart, and was able to extract some liquid, interwoven with tangerine oil, nectarine, quince, pear, and popcorn and honey. Quite layered, full-bodied, but with terrific acidity and vibrancy, this is a sensational Chardonnay ... (RP)" (12/2006)

2001 Melville "Estate" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 9-bottle lot of 2001 Melville "Estate" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Pinot Noir Estate exhibits a dark ruby color as well as a sweet, complex, Burgundian nose of forest floor scents intermixed with cherry jam, flowers, and black fruits. The wood component plays a minor role in this complex, medium to full-bodied, pure, intriguing Pinot. It is a singular, perfumed example with loads of texture and flavor ... What is especially impressive about all the Melville offerings is their purity and singular personalities. Virtually everyone I talked to in Santa Barbara applauds the meticulous craftsmanship and viticultural skills of proprietor Chad Melville. His talent is obvious in these outstanding efforts. Of the 2005 Domaine Louis Jadot Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle Duc de Magenta ,Wine Spectator writes: "This has a little more of a hard edge to it, in the form of oak tannins. 1986 Joseph Drouhin Beaune Rouge 1er Cru "Clos des Mouches"
Bid on this bottle of 1986 Joseph Drouhin Beaune Rouge 1er Cru "Clos des Mouches". Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The nose is extremely exotic with obvious botrytis notes as well as mango and pineapple that seems perfectly in keeping with the notably rich, full and almost viscous texture of the mouth coating flavors. There is good complexity here though I find the finish to lack vibrancy as there is barely enough acidity to avoid heaviness. For my taste, I would strongly suggest consuming this over the next year or two as it will inevitably start to decline." (10/2006)

This is quintessential Champans and a first rate example of the vineyard. Note however that it remains very young and will still need the better part of a decade to reach full maturity." (04/2010)

Of the 1988 Philipe Leclerc Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Combe Aux Moines",Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 1988 Gevrey-Chambertin Combe aux Moines is a compelling wine, although I did not think it had quite the extra measure of depth of Les Cazetiers. Perhaps it is simply more backward and the depth will emerge in time. It is truly a great expression of Gevrey-Chambertin, with its wild, savage, animal-like bouquet that exhibits exotic spices, sweet, toasty oak, and powerful, black cherry aromas. Viscous, deep, and chewy, this muscular wine boasts immense concentration and length. Its thickly textured personality reveals blackberry jam, candied dark cherries, and a myriad spices. Its prolonged finish exhibits exquisitely ripe tannin. Though I’ve been in love with the 1990 for years, this 60 Ouvrees may well surpass it! Anticipated maturity: 2008-2019." (06/04)

Along similar lines, 2009 Colgin's Syrah from IX Estate on Pritchard Hill, was very much defined by a hillside sense of structure. (Antonio Galloni)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine Grand Veneur "Les Origines" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (93RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Fully mature, this top cuvee from the Jaume family is gorgeous to drink at present. Sweet black currant, smoked meats, spring flowers, licorice, and tar all jump from the glass of this dark plum/purple-colored wine. Full-bodied and rich, with impressive purity and length, the wine has shed all its tannin and seems to have reached its peak of maturity, where it should last for another 5-6 years. (RP)" (06/2010)

2012 Schrader "Colesworthy - Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2012 Schrader "Colesworthy - Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A selection of the best barrels of this wine, representing only 110 cases or basically 41/2 barrels, is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Colesworthy. This is largely Clone 337, aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou. This is deep, rich, full, backward and not quite as easy to access as its sibling, although at some point the Schraders and Thomas Brown thought these were the best barrels from Las Piedras. It seems to share much of its siblings opaque purple color, lots of coffee, blackberry and cassis fruit, charcoal and graphite, but seems to also require more bottle age to round into shape. Forget it for 3-4 years and drink it over the following 20-25 years. (RP)" (10/2014)

2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Rosé Champagne
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Rosé Champagne (98RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Unfortunately there is only one new release from Dom Perignon on the market, but what a wine it is! The 2002 Brut Rose explodes from the glass with endless layers of huge, voluptuous fruit, A big, full-bodied wine, the 2002 is probably the most overly vinous, intense Rose ever made by long-time Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. Layers of cool, insistent minerality balance the fruit beautifully on the crystalline, vivid finish. The 2002 will be nearly impossible to resist young, but take my word for it; the wine is extremely closed right now. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2032." (11/2012)

Rita Hills Grenache,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: " The current release of the estate vineyard (a.k.a. the extended barrel-aged cuvee), the 2010 Grenache Stockholm Syndrome is an incredible effort that I couldn’t find a fault with. A blend of 75% Grenache, 22% Syrah, 2% Roussanne and 1% Viognier, all from the Eleven Confession Vineyard, it spent just under 30 months in 22% new and 78% used French oak prior to bottling. It's a wine with a character of cloves and berries with hints plums. It shows loads of potpourri. Roses too. Full and so balanced. Tight and youthful. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Pierre Usseglio "Cuvée de Mon Aïeul" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,800 cases of the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Mon Aieul (100% tank-aged Grenache). It represents an awesome naked/virginal expression of Grenache from three vineyard parcels planted in sand, clay, and limestone soils. After tasting this wine on five separate occasions, I can state with certainty, it has the most saturated color of any Mon Aieul produced to date. Moreover, its perfume of blueberry liqueur, black raspberries, licorice, roasted meat juices, and lavender is incredible. Full-bodied power, a multilayered mouthfeel, tremendous purity, and awesome concentration put this wine in a class by itself. This sensational Chateauneuf du Pape is still very young, and 3-4 years of cellaring is required. It should be a modern day legend and last for nearly two decades. (RP)" (10/2009)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune-Grèves 1er Cru "Vigne de L'Enfant Jésus" (92BH, 90ST, 90WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " **Sweet spot Outstanding!** Fans of this wine will notice a good deal more wood influence than normal but the good news is that it appears to also possess the requisite stuffing to successfully integrate it with time in bottle. The nose is earthy but fresh with excellent density and volume, culminating in an explosively powerful finish. More importantly for a firmly structured wine like this, the supporting tannins are ripe and this too should reward extended cellaring." (04/2006)

2003 Arietta "H Block Hudson" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 8-bottle lot of 2003 Arietta "H Block Hudson" Napa Valley Red Blend (93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deep ruby/purple-hued 2003 Proprietary Red H Block Hudson Vineyard (a 500-case blend of 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Merlot) exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as aromas of sassafras, underbrush, menthol, cassis, crushed rocks, and graphite. Although more closed than it was last year out of barrel, it reveals a beautiful texture, an explosively rich style, and a long, pure finish. I would not be surprised to see this wine merit a score in the mid-nineties once it sheds some of its tannin. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2020+. This partnership between winemaker John Kongsgaard and auctioneer Fritz Hatton has produced distinctive, singular wines, with the H Block a California version of Bordeaux’s famed Cheval Blanc, and the Variation One a “who knows what the heck” blend of Merlot and Syrah. Think of it as a hybrid version of a Bordeaux Graves mixed with a

2003 Carruades de Lafite, Pauillac

Despite record heat in June, July and August, this wine only hit 12.8% alcohol, which seems modest compared to the higher alcohol levels of 2009 and 2010. A final blend of 50% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc has resulted in a second wine with a Lafite Rothschild-like character, plenty of creme de cassis, cedarwood and graphite notes as well as a supple, lush texture. It has reached full maturity where it should remain for another 5-10 years. " (08/2014)
