Pure, expressive red fruit and floral aromas are complicated by star anise, cinnamon and allspice, with a lively mineral undertone adding vivacity. Impressively precise in the mouth, offering sappy strawberry and raspberry flavors and an intensely spicy character. The finish features a note of candied flowers and hangs on with outstanding tenacity. Remarkably delineated and vibrant Pinot Noir. " (06/2011)

2007 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml)
Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2007 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (97RP, 93ST, 92CG, 91W&S, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Private Reserve is composed of 34% Bancroft Ranch, 33% Steinhauer Ranch, 8% Chabot Vineyard, 8% Lampyridae, and the remainder from St. Helena Home Vineyard, Marston Ranch and Rancho del Oso fruit. A mild spring and summer with only a handful of heat spikes was followed by beautiful weather in September and October. One of the finest Private Reserves made over the last two decades, this phenomenal wine is obviously still an infant in terms of development, but it exhibits a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of blackberries, white chocolate, licorice, tobacco leaf, smoky barbecue, charcoal and a burning ember-like note reminiscent of a Graves from Bordeaux. A dense, luscious, full-bodied, opulent style, with sweet tannin, this locked and loaded, intense, full throttle Private Reserve should be ac

2007 Pierre Usseglio "Cuvée de Mon Aïeul" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Pierre Usseglio "Cuvée de Mon Aïeul" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,800 cases of the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Mon Aieul (100% tank-aged Grenache). It represents an awesome naked/virginal expression of Grenache from three vineyard parcels planted in sand, clay, and limestone soils. After tasting this wine on five separate occasions, I can state with certainty, it has the most saturated color of any Mon Aieul produced to date. Moreover, its perfume of blueberry liqueur, black raspberries, licorice, roasted meat juices, and lavender is incredible. Full-bodied power, a multilayered mouthfeel, tremendous purity, and awesome concentration put this wine in a class by itself. This sensational Chateauneuf du Pape is still very young, and 3-4 years of cellaring is required. It should be a modern day legend and last for nearly two decades. (RP)" (10/2009)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Janasse "Chaupin" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Showing a smidge of worrisome volatile acidity, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin nevertheless has off-the-hook levels of richness and depth. Spring flowers, blackberry, cassis, licorice, violets and white pepper are all present here, and it’s a massive wine on the palate, with big fruit, a voluptuous texture and a great finish. After this tasting, I pulled a bottle from my cellar (purchased on release), and it was firing on all cylinders, with not a hint of VA, so this appears to be an isolated issue. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard (1,300 - 1,400 cases) from Howell Mountain is one of the great efforts from this high elevation terroir. It offers notes of burning embers, black raspberries, blueberries and flowers, a full-bodied opulence, wonderful intensity, but the wine is not weighty or overripe. Fleshy and voluptuous with terrific floral notes, it should drink well for 15-20 years." (12/2010)

2007 Domenico Clerico "Ciabot Mentin" Barolo
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Domenico Clerico "Ciabot Mentin" Barolo (98RP, 95JS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barolo Ciabot Mentin is one of the greatest wines I have ever tasted at this address. Deep, sensual layers of fruit flow from the glass as this full-throttle, intense Barolo reveals its profound, breathtaking personality. The 2007 shows tons of Ginestra nuance, but with extra dimensions to the fruit that literally covers every nook and cranny of the palate. Tasting this next to the 2006 is quite a comparison, as both wines are fabulous. Readers who can should be sure to own bottles of both. A side-by-side comparison is sure to be fascinating as the wines develop over the coming years. Astute readers will note the slight name change here, which is the result of new regulations that require the use of the historic vineyard name, in this case Ginestra, or a proprietary name. Call me nostalgic, but it is sad to see one of the iconic labels in Barolo disappea

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 96CG, 96WS, 95JS, 94ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 24 months in new French oak, this infant 2007 exhibits an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, spring flowers and smoky oak. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. Perhaps I should just go ahead and give this 2007 a three-digit score as it is a profoundly great Cabernet Sauvignon-based effort. The production was 13,500 cases of this 100% estate fruit blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. The alcohol came in at 14.5%. The growing season was nearly ideal, with early bud break, generous flowering, a bountiful crop size, and summer weather that was warm and dry with no significant heat spikes. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Pierre Usseglio "Reserve des Deux Freres" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 95ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The perfect 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve des Deux Freres is slightly more evolved and complex than the Mon Aieul, as odd as that seems. Having had it twice out of bottle, this wine (nearly 100% Grenache combined with a few dollops of Syrah) possesses an opaque ruby/purple color as well as a thrilling texture and monumental length (the finish lasts over 60 seconds). it's a blockbuster, but everything is in perfect balance, and, remarkably, it comes across as the most accessible Reserve des Deux Freres made to date. This wine's aging is completely different from its sibling-s. Sixty percent is aged in 1, 2, and 3-year-old Burgundy barrels, and the rest in small new oak barrels, but there is not a hint of new oak in the aromatics. The bouquet reveals plenty of blackberry, blueberry, and cassis fruit intertwined with notions of melted licor

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A profound wine from a superb Napa vintage for Bordeaux varietals, the 2007’s nose may cause one to overdose on blue, black and red berry fruit. The extraordinary intensity, purity and depth in this rich, flamboyant, exuberant wine are mindboggling. This bigger-than-life Cabernet Sauvignon appears set for 20-30 years of aging. It can be drunk now, but because of its sweet, velvety tannins, it will still be offering sensational drinking in 2040. (RP)" (06/2012)

2007 Sylvain Cathiard Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru "Aux Murgers"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Sylvain Cathiard Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru "Aux Murgers" (93RP, (89-92ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I recall this 2007 Nuits Saint Georges aux Murger being delicious from barrel. With a half a dozen years or so in bottle, it is dutifully blossoming into one beautiful Pinot Noir. Youthful in color, the nose attests to the relatively high proportion of new oak, although it is sutured into the fruit profile of mulberry, yellow plum and crushed strawberries all well-defined. The palate has the weight of a more precocious vintage, although part of that emanates from the oak. You could describe it as a modern style of Burgundy, but one adroitly pulled off, with a silky and harmonious finish with not a hard edge in sight. This superb wine is drinking beautifully now, but it should keep for another ten years. Drink now-2024. Tasted January 2014." (04/2014)

Of the 2008 Baldacci "Four Sons" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon,Wine Enthusiast writes: "Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, this red wine shows the full body, rich tannins and overall elegance of Baldacci’s red wines. 2007 Foxen "Toasted Rope" Santa Ynez Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Foxen "Toasted Rope" Santa Ynez Valley Syrah (94RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Syrah Toasted Rope is a Marcel Guigal-like blend of 86% Syrah and 14% Viognier. (Guigal’s famous single-vineyard La Mouline Cote Rotie is a blend of 89% Syrah and 11% Viognier, give or take a few percentage points one way or the other depending on the vintage.) Dedicated to Andrew Murray, as the source of the Syrah and Viognier was planted by him in the early 1990s, the wine has a dark ruby/purple color and an exotic nose of lychee, apricot, and spring flowers, with the Syrah component offering up black cherry, blackberry, and spice. Almost off-the-charts complexity in the perfume is followed by a silky-textured, voluptuously built wine with loads of fruit, velvety tannins, and undeniable appeal. The Viognier clearly adds an element of complexity and suppleness that makes the wine individualistic." (08/2010)

Of the 2007 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The prodigious 2007 Esprit de Beaucastel is a blend of 44% Mourvedre, 29% Grenache, 21% Syrah, and the rest Counoise. A very great wine, very much in the mold of its French cousin, Chateau Beaucastel, the wine has a saturated ruby/purple color and a gorgeous nose of melted licorice, charcoal, blueberry, and blackberries intermixed with freshly sliced mushrooms, tree bark, and pepper. 2007 Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (90.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9.5% Petit Verdot) is one of the more remarkable bargains for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Like most vintages of Seavey (the 1990 and 1991 are still very young wines), it will require patience. Dense purple opaque to the rim, it reveals a stunning nose of burning embers, soy, blackberries, coffee, and cassis along with a hint of scorched earth. It is a true blockbuster, concentrated, massive Cabernet that should be forgotten for 5-10 years, and drunk over the following four decades. Seavey’s 2007s could be compared to some of the Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignons from the late 1960s and early 1970s. 96+ points. (RP)" (12/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Materium exhibits an even more opaque purple color, and ratchets up the level of intensity and aromatic complexity. Blackberry, black raspberry, blueberry, and cassis aromas intermixed with notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, and toasty new oak are found in this beauty. Outstanding intensity along with full-bodied power and beautifully integrated acids, tannins, alcohol, and wood suggest this 2007 should hit its peak in 5-7 years, and evolve for three decades or more." Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it has begun to shut down slightly, but reveals an opaque purple color along with deep, sweet, cedary, black currant aromas intermixed with hints of tobacco leaf, licorice and graphite. The wine has a floral top, a thickly fruity middle and a base with smoke, rock and meat. Still very young, it is already a complete, fully-realized, near-perfect wine with a finish that extends for many minutes. This should age for 25 –30 years. Wonderful aromas of black raspberries, blueberries, black currants and flowers jump from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-tinged Cabernet. As I have stated before, if Chateau Margaux were in Napa Valley, it would be Spottswoode. The purity, balance and delicacy of this wine are impressive. Aromatically, it is the most brooding and Cote-Rotie-like of these Syrahs with notes of smoke, meat, game, garrigue, lavender, and blueberry. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de Saint Préfert "Réserve Auguste Favier" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Also rock-star stuff, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve Auguste Favier gives up plenty of sweet blackberry, sugar cured meats, licorice, toasted spice and butcher shop-like aromas and flavors to go with a full-bodied, sweetly-fruited, fabulously dense and layered palate. As with the Colombis, it’s a big, rich wine that stays fresh and pure. " (08/2014)

2007-2008 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend Vertical
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007-2008 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend Vertical, including 1-bottle of 2007 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend (95RP) and 1-bottle of 2008 Alban Vineyards "Pandora" Edna Valley Grenache-Syrah (95AG, 94ST). Of the 2007 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2007 Pandora is an enormous wine endowed with awesome richness and power. Layers of dark fruit flesh out beautifully in this muscular, large-scaled wine. Dark plums, tar, sweet herbs and anise are some of the notes that wrap around the super-intense finish. The 2007 Pandora is 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah, both from the chalky soils of Seymour-s. My visit with John and Lorraine Alban and winemaker Glenn Skrabanik was a highlight of the ten days I spent in the Central Coast...It is fair to say no one has done more for the Rhone Ranger movement in this country than John Alban. First and foremost, the Alban wines have led the way in terms of quality for

2007 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (100RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 550-cases of the perfect 2007 Cariad (original rating was 99), a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and the rest equal parts Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. One of northern California’s watershed vintages for Bordeaux varietals, according to Allison Tauziet, this wine revealed great potential from the day the first grapes were crushed. It possesses a dense purple color, massive fruit, soft but high tannin, and a structural profile somewhat similar to the 2002. There appears to be more underlying minerality in the 2007, but the sweetness of the tannin, the enormous concentration of fruit (blackberry, blueberry, cherry) intermixed with graphite, chocolate, coffee and crushed rock characteristics is striking. This is a compelling, even prodigious wine that hits all the palate’s sweet spots, possesses phenomenal upside potential, and is a mod

2007 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JS, 100RP, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Scarecrow's inky/purple-colored 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a prodigious effort. It reveals a liqueur of crushed rocks intermixed with a smorgasbord of spring flower, blueberry, creme de cassis, and assorted blue, black, and red fruit characteristics. It also possesses extraordinary concentration, but what sets it apart is the fragrant aromatics combined with uncommon purity and elegance for such a full-bodied, massively concentrated wine. Its perfect balance suggests it can be drunk at a relatively young age, but it should easily evolve over 30-35 years. Congratulations to all involved!" (12/2009)

Wine Spectator: "Broad and nutty, with moderately firm structure and a hint of oak tannins shoring up its grapefruit, ripe apple and spice flavors. Intense, yet slightly angular at first and requiring air to show its creamy texture and richness. Fine length. Best from 2012 through 2026. 107 cases imported." (02/2010)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a superb site, the blockbuster 2007 Syrah James Berry Vineyard boasts an opaque purple color in addition to extraordinary aromas of creme de cassis, subtle smoke, blackberries, pepper, and bouquet garni, a fabulous texture, and a finish that lasts for 50+ seconds. 2007 Mayacamas Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Mayacamas Napa Valley Chardonnay (92WE, 91AG). Wine Enthusiast: "**Cellar Selection** Offering none of the oaky, fruity richness of popular Chardonnays, this bottle needs to be figured out in a different way. It’s super-dry, acidic and minerally, with citrus fruit flavors that seem barely touched by oak. It’s a wine of structural integrity, made in the style of a great Chablis. One of the rare Chardonnays that should age." (08/2010)

2007 Linne Calodo "Nemesis" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Linne Calodo "Nemesis" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another of the last of the 2007s hitting the market includes the 2007 Nemesis (82% Syrah and the rest Mourvedre). It’s a powerhouse at 15.8% alcohol, aged almost completely in 350-liter hogsheads. The unusually high percentage of Syrah has given it an almost opaque purple color, with an extraordinary nose of black raspberries, graphite, acacias flowers, and crushed rock. Its sweet tannins, superb purity, full-bodied mouthfeel and long finish are stunning. It should last for 10-12 years. (RP)" (08/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Noon "Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon Langhorne Creek South Australia (95RP, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from a 35 year old vineyard with yields under 1 ton per acre. It was raised in 57% new French oak for 18 months. It displays an enticing perfume of wood smoke, eucalyptus, violets, black currant, and blackberry. Structured and slightly sinewy on the palate, this full-bodied , ripe effort has a slightly tannic finish. (JM)" (12/2009)

2007 Sine Qua Non "Body & Soul" Roussanne-Viognier
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Body & Soul" Roussanne-Viognier (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The new cuvee of white wine, the 2007 Body and Soul, a 475-case blend of 71% Roussanne and 29% Viognier, is primarily from the 11 Confessions Vineyard. Krankl has dropped Chardonnay from the blend, and the resulting wine is a beacon for what can be achieved by blending two white Rhone varietals. About one-third new French oak is used. Honeysuckle, orange blossom, lemon oil, tropical fruit, and floral notes are found in this unctuously-textured white. Full-bodied and dry, with good underlying minerality, crispness, and an alluring freshness, it is impossible to know how such a wine will age. I just finished my last bottle of the 2001 Albino, which is aging fabulously well, and seems capable of lasting another 4-5 years. These wines are so spectacularly perfumed and intense in their youth that they are hard to resist. (RP)" (08/2009)

A distinct liqueur of minerals buttresses the full-bodied, massive concentration, giving an overall impression of elegance, purity, and harmony. This is another seamless tour de force in winemaking. Bid on this magnum of 2007 Vérité "La Joie" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (100RP, 96WE, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec, the 2007’s fruit came from four sources, Alexander Valley Mountain Estate, Knight's Valley, Chalk Hill and Bennett Valley. This utterly perfect, flawless wine reveals great intensity along with a wonderful perfume of roasted coffee, blueberries, blackberries, spring flowers, forest floor and crushed rock. Full-bodied and viscous without being heavy, the wine possesses admirable precision as well as good acidity and balance. This stunning wine is developing beautifully. It contains 14.4% alcohol (one of the highest amounts) and a final pH of 3.64. It should last another 30 years. (RP)" (06/2011)
