This super rare bottling is made with some of the nearly extinct, native varietals of Champagne. It is composed of 40% Meslier, 40% Arbanne and 20% Pinot Blanc. What an opportunity! One of Bruno Michel's other importers in Europe passed on this all-2006 (although not marked as a vintage) special lot of rosé in magnum. This all-Meunier, all skin contact rosé Champagne offers the same sort of savory flavor profile as the much loved "les Roses" but with more richness and a greater array of spicy complexity, at a better deal than the 750ml bottle. 2009 Alexandre Le Brun "Cuvée Revelation" Brut Champagne

Alexandre Le Brun is a young winemaker in Monthelon in the Ardenne (Marne) region of Champagne. He is a ninth generation winemaker. His family established themselves in Champagne in 1750, and their cellars were built in 1822. The Revelation is indeed that. A revelation! It is 100% Meunier with a low four grams per liter dosage.
