2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95JS, 95WE, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beginning to open magnificently, the still dense purple-colored 2000 reveals a blossoming bouquet of blackberries, cassis, graphite and pen ink. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. One of the all-time great examples of Lynch Bages, the 2000 is just beginning to drink well yet promises to last for another 20-25+ years. (RP)" (08/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Rhys "Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94ST, 93RP, 91BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark ruby. Exotic, intensely perfumed black raspberry and cherry aromas are complemented by cola, star anise and licorice. Juicy, impressively precise dark fruit flavors are lifted by tangy acidity and a slow-building blood orange quality. At once supple and lithe, finishing with outstanding energy and an array of dark berry and floral nuances." (05/2012)

2004 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 95WE, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon 'Galitzine Vineyard' comes from the fourth leaf of this estate vineyard and is the first release of the wine, made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak. Opaque purple-colored, it has a superb bouquet of pain grille, scorched earth, truffle, walnuts, black cherry, and blackberry liqueur which leaps from the glass. On the palate it is sweet and rich with layers of spicy black fruit flavors, terrific balance, and a 45+ second finish. It does not have quite the weight and depth of the flagship Cabernet but keep in mind that this is the product of a young vineyard only beginning to express its enormous potential." (08/2007)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 96CG, 96WS, 95JS, 94ST, 94WE, 91W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 24 months in new French oak, this infant 2007 exhibits an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, spring flowers and smoky oak. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. Perhaps I should just go ahead and give this 2007 a three-digit score as it is a profoundly great Cabernet Sauvignon-based effort...one of the top Insignias yet produced. (RP)" (11/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2003 Leoville Poyferre exhibits a dense purple color with a touch of lightening at the edge as well as notes of creosote, barbecue smoke, jammy black currants, licorice and spice box. This intense, voluptuously textured, full-bodied St.-Julien possesses low acidity and ripe tannin. Bid on this bottle of 2012 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93AG, (89-91RP)). Antonio Galloni: "Aubert's 2012 Pinot Noir CIX Vineyard comes across as subtle and understated in this context. A wine of silkiness and texture, the 2012 is laced with expressive dark red fruit and gorgeous inner sweetness. The flavors are dark, racy and impeccably balanced. This parcel is planted with a Vosne-Romanee suitcase clone, which seems to give the wine a lot of distinctive aromatics." (02/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Kosta Browne "Rosella's Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir (94CG, 93ST, 92AG, 92RP, 91WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "**Two Stars** Richness and well-ripened fruit have become hallmarks of good Santa Lucia Highland Pinot Noirs, and, although this one shows plenty of both, it ranks with the top wines of its provenance by dint of its exceptional balance and riveting depth. It is ripe and wonderfully juicy, but it is far more than that, and it shows terrific vitality and length. 2005 Tor Kenward "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Tor Kenward "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A magnificent effort, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard (approximately 300 cases) is reminiscent of a Bordeaux Pauillac. Cedar wood, creme de cassis, licorice, and spice box aromas soar from the glass of this opaque ruby/purple-colored cuvee. With fabulous fruit, intensity, full-bodied power, authoritative richness, and multiple flavor dimensions, this is a blockbuster Cabernet Sauvignon that should drink well for 20+ years. Tor Kenward and his winemaker, Jeff Ames, have produced some breakthrough efforts in 2005 and 2006. A longtime executive at Beringer as well as a meticulous wine connoisseur who knows great wine as well as anybody, Kenward is carving out a superb reputation for wine quality. 2003 Sine Qua Non "Papa" Central Coast Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Sine Qua Non "Papa" Central Coast Syrah (98RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 860 cases of the 2003 Papa, a blend of 97% Syrah, 2% Mourvedre, and 1% Grenache sourced from six different vineyards. An old black and white photograph of Manfred Krankl’s father holding a baby with a head the size of a large watermelon (presumably Manfred) serves as the label for this wine, which has just about everything one could want in a great Syrah. It exhibits extraordinary power and richness along with large quantities of sexy, seductive cassis, black cherries, and a chocolaty undertone. Unctuously textured, rich, and full, it will provide amazing drinking over the next 10-15 years. (RP)" (08/2006)

2010 Fontodi "Flaccianello" Toscana
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Fontodi "Flaccianello" Toscana (97RP, 96AG, 96WS, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Now to a superstar of Italian enology: The 2010 Flaccianello della Pieve will take your breath away. This is a seriously beautiful Sangiovese-based wine with the kind of intensity and aromatic purity you only experience every 1,000 wines or so. There’s a lot to say here. First, the wine’s beautiful appearance shows dark garnet colors with highlights of ruby and purple gemstone. The bouquet delivers a steady and seductive evolution with dark cherry, chocolate, spice, tobacco and sweet almond all seamlessly balanced one against the other. Its texture and inner fabric is rich, velvety and firm. There’s a brilliant spot of acidity that hits you at the back of the mouth and helps the wine from feeling too heavy or dense. In fact, outstanding elegance is what ultimately sets it apart. The temptation to drink it now is huge, but those still young tannins definitely need a

2003 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big wine from the Barrett family (14.2% alcohol), this 2003 exhibits earthy black currant fruit, the restrained but intense Montelena style, full body, good richness and impeccable balance, purity and density. The color is a healthy dark ruby/purple and the wine shows lots of cassis. In spite of the restrained aromatics, the palate is rich, full-bodied, substantial and persuasive. This 2003 is approachable now, but it will be even more gorgeous 15, 20 and 25 years from now. This is a heritage wine from this great estate in northern Napa Valley. 94+ (RP)" (06/2013)

2003 Monbousquet, St-Emilion
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2003 Monbousquet, St-Emilion (93RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a mixture of sand, gravel, and clay soils, this unheralded terroir produces wines well-above its pedigree thanks to the extraordinary efforts of proprietors Chantal and Gerard Perse. The wines are given a 4- to 5-week maceration in both stainless steel and oak, and are aged sur-lie in new oak. The dark ruby/purple-colored 2003 offers up notes of smoky meats, melted licorice, jammy black cherries, spice box, earth, and cedar. This plump, fleshy, sexy, unfined, unfiltered wine represents a classic blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Sweet aromas of creme de cassis, licorice, charcoal and spice are followed by a beautifully etched, full-bodied wine with sweet tannins, well-integrated acidity, and a hint of background oak. 1974 Latour, Pauillac

Still not fully mature, this dark ruby wine has good fruit, a medium body, surprising depth and ripeness for the vintage, and a sinewy, tannic finish. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Troplong Mondot, St-Emilion (96RP, 92ST, 92WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Extremely young with an unbelievable deep purple color, the 2000 Troplong Mondot has hardly budged since I tasted it in 2003. Two recent tastings confirmed that this is the greatest Troplong Mondot between their profound 1990 and more recent vintages such as 2005, 2008, and 2009. Copious chocolate, graphite, blackberry, blueberry, cassis, and ink characteristics are present in this full-bodied, powerful, massive St.-Emilion. While the tannins are noticeable, they are better integrated than they were seven years ago, and the fruit, extract, and richness clearly outweigh the wine’s structure. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Kapcsandy "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 performed spectacularly and the good news is that 1,200-1,300 cases were produced. Showing better than it did in its infancy, this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot has an inky purple color as well as notes of lead pencil shavings and scorched earth that resemble a great Graves, blackberry and creme de cassis fruit, licorice and subtle smoky barbecue. It also reveals a full-bodied texture, stunning concentration and beautiful richness. This is the only time the Kapcsandys made this particular blend and it certainly is performing incredibly well at age ten. 2011 Paul Hobbs "Hyde Vineyard" Carneros Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Paul Hobbs "Hyde Vineyard" Carneros Pinot Noir (92ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark ruby. Slowly opens up to display scents of dark berries, cherry-cola and mocha, with a brooding note of licorice in the background. Chewy and densely packed, with intense dark fruit flavors that are brightened by sneaky minerality. Shows very good energy on the finish, which leaves smoky cherry and black raspberry notes behind. This wine will definitely benefit from decanting if you plan on drinking it any time soon. 92(+?) points" (06/2013)

1998 Vérité Sonoma/Napa County Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Vérité Sonoma/Napa County Bordeaux Blend (93WE, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Lush and delicious, this richly fruited wine roars from glass with a serious, yet still sexy plum, chocolate, spice and cedar nose. Plush tannins and an even mouthfeel full cherry, plum and cocoa flavors, and this impressive first release finishes long and dry. Appealing now, but has tannins to lose, should be even better in two years and hold until 2008." (12/2001)

2012 Littorai "Savoy Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Littorai "Savoy Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (92AG, 89ST). Antonio Galloni: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard is quite powerful and intense today, with a gorgeous interplay of fruit, acidity and tannin. Game, smoke, sweet red cherries, menthol and tobacco open up in the glass, but the Savoy is mostly a wine of texture backed up by considerable energy and power. I imagine the Savoy will be even better once the tannins soften a bit further." (01/2015)

2001 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of the 2001 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beaucastel has been on a terrific qualitative roll over the last four vintages, and the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape (which Francois Perrin feels is similar to the 1990, although I don’t see that as of yet) is a 15,000-case blend of 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah, 10% Counoise, and the balance split among the other permitted varietals of the appellation. This inky/ruby/purple-colored cuvee offers a classic Beaucastel bouquet of new saddle leather, cigar smoke, roasted herbs, black truffles, underbrush, and blackberry as well as cherry fruit. It is a superb, earthy expression of this Mourvedre-dominated cuvee. Full-bodied and powerful, it will undoubtedly close down over the next several years, not to re-emerge for 7-8 years. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2025. (RP)"

1991 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1991 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92AG, 92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Opus One's 1991 is a gorgeously rich, opaque ruby/purple-colored wine with a knock-out nose of smoke, cassis, vanilla, and a whiff of herbs and licorice. Full-bodied, with surprisingly supple, concentrated, chocolatey, cassis, and blackcurrant flavors that ooze across the palate, this voluptuously-textured example of Opus One is atypical in a vintage that produced so many backward wines. There is no question the wine possesses plenty of tannin, but it is admirably concealed by the copious quantities of concentrated fruit. (RP)" (02/1995)

2008 Abreu "Cappella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Abreu "Cappella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Cappella bursts onto the palate with black cherries, smoke, menthol and licorice. This is a decidedly powerful, tannic Cappella that is going to need quite a bit of bottle age. Layers of fruit build effortlessly to the intense, deeply expressive finish. With time in the glass, the wine’s potential becomes quite evident. In 2008 Cappella is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2033+. 2005 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Named after the super-luxury car of the same name, the extraordinary 2005 Materium (614 cases) has more in common with a first-growth like Chateau Margaux than a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It boasts a deep ruby/purple color along with a striking bouquet of blue and black fruits intermingled with acacia flowers, lead pencil shavings, and licorice, excellent fruit, medium to full body, substantial but sweet tannins, and compelling harmony among its acidity, alcohol, tannin, and extract. This sensational 2005 eclipses even the brilliant 2004. It should easily last 25 or more years. (RP)" (12/2008)
