Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Chardonnay Three Sisters Vineyard (a terrific site owned by the Martinelli family) reveals a straw color with a greenish hue (always a positive sign) and a wonderful citrus oil, lemon blossom and crushed rock-scented perfume with a subtle hint of oak as well as a distinctive minerality. Full-bodied with good acidity and superb purity, it should drink well for 10-15 years. 96+ points. (RP)" (02/2011)

2004 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "It seems as though it's no longer a matter of whether the '04 BBM is reduced but just how reduced and this latest bottle was seriously reduced, indeed to the point where it completely dominated the nose. Other bottles certainly have displayed some but not completely at the expense of the hallmark honeysuckle aromas. The tight, and still quite backward, vibrant medium-bodied plus flavors possess real richness, volume and more structure than I typically find yet the balance is absolutely impeccable. The vibrancy and energy here are most impressive but one has to begin to wonder if the reduction hasn't become permanent? If it has it won't make the wine unpleasant but it will deprive of us of the enjoyment of the nose. In view of this potential difficulty (especially since it appears to be the case with the '04 Clavoillons - see herein), I have lowered my score somew

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Montrachet Grand Cru ((94-97BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "**Don't Miss!** A riper if less elegant nose presents a broad range of yellow and white orchard fruits with ample floral, spice and citrus nuances that also are reflected by the massively endowed big-bodied, powerful and muscular flavors of imposing size and weight, all wrapped in a palate staining, chewy and hugely long finish. One expects Montrachet to be great and the '08 from Pierre-Yves Colin does not disappoint. " (06/2010)

2009 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru. According to the importer, Michael Skurnik Wines: "Pierre Yves Colin was the winemaker for his father's Domaine Marc Colin until 2005. He began his own domaine, first as a micro-négociant operation, focusing on tiny quantities of the finest wines that he can buy. Now he has grown his domaine with the help of family holdings to 70% plots that he owns and 30% grapes he purchases. His holdings are mostly in Chassagne-Montrachet (where the domaine is located) but he also produces multiple bottlings of Meursault, St. Aubin, and Puligny-Montrachet. Pierre-Yves has rapidly become a star in Cote de Beaune and is now considered one of the pre-eminent young producers of White Burgundy. His choice to use larger demi-muid barrels and eschew the use of battonnage, makes each one of his bottlings a clear expression of its terroir and a study in mineral-driven Chardonnay. 2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 95AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay East Side (1,000 cases produced) comes from a vineyard owned by Ulises Valdez and planted with the Montrachet clone. It is the rockiest site in the Aubert portfolio. Amazingly, it sees 100% new oak, but you would never know that from smelling or tasting the wine. Copious aromas of wet rocks, almond paste, honeysuckle, pineapple and white peach are followed by a full-bodied, stunningly rich yet crisp, vibrant, zesty Chardonnay that should drink well for a minimum of 10 years. Of the 2005 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vin de Paille (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Even more remarkable is the 2005 Mr. K. Marsanne Vin de Paille The Straw Man. One-hundred percent Marsanne from the Beckmen Vineyard, with remarkably low alcohol (7.5%), a whopping 392 grams of residual sugar per liter, and exceptional acidity (6.4 grams of acid per liter), this is one of the most singular sweet wines I have ever tasted. It rivals the great 2000 Suey that was made from Roussanne and ended up with 241 grams of residual sugar. 2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Flirting with perfection, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Estate exhibits a serious liqueur of stones along with a greenish hue to its straw color, fabulous density, richness and full-bodied power, but zesty acids and notes of quince, white currants, subtle peach, brioche and apricot marmalade are all present in this multi-dimensional, complex, stunning Chardonnay that will be released in 2014. It should easily last for 10-15 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Preuses" (OWC - 95BH, 94RP, 93ST) in original wood. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This brilliant effort is evolving very much along the lines that I originally expected that it might and it has arrived on the front edge of full maturity. The elegant and highly complex nose is wonderfully classy and it clearly speaks of its origins as do the rich yet delineated medium-bodied flavors brimming with a subtle minerality and outstanding length. About the only nit is that the finish of this most recent bottle is perhaps not quite as persistent as I remember but overall, this is flat out terrific. I would continue to hold this for another year or two but it would be no vinous crime to dip into this now. Consistent notes." (05/2011)

Brighter, saline-infused notes emerge as the wine opens up in the glass. This is another striking Chardonnay endowed with magnificent balance of generous fruit and explosive energy. This is yet another dazzling wine from Kistler endowed with tremendous depth, detail and classiness. Smoke, crushed rocks and apricots are woven into the fabric of this seamless showstopper. Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of 2002 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K The Noble Man" Edna Valley Chardonnay (375ml) (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Mr. K The Noble Man (321 grams per liter of residual sugar and 10.25 grams per liter of acidity) is made from 100% botrytised Chardonnay. Its medium gold color is followed by a wine with honeyed complexity, and huge body, sweetness, and thickness. This effort is never as complex or focused as its siblings, but it is still a phenomenal sweet wine that can stand on its own merits against any great sweet wine made in the world. (RP)" (06/2005)

2008 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Utterly perfect, the 2008 Chardonnay Marcassin Estate is a dead-ringer for the 2007, but slightly richer and longer, as hard as that may be to believe. This extraordinary effort is unquestionably the 'Chardonnay of the Vintage.' In fact, it may be the 'Chardonnay of the Decade.' Brioche, nectarine, citrus and orange blossom notes intermixed with a liqueur of rocks, great acid, phenomenal concentration and staggering length result in a sublime Chardonnay that should drink well for 15+ years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay (94AG, 94ST, 92RP, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Green-tinged gold. Complex, highly fragrant aromas of peach pit, melon and candied orange, with intense mineral and iodine qualities gaining power with air. Sappy and expansive, offering vibrant pit fruit, pear and anise flavors lifted by zesty minerality. Rich but lithe and stony, finishing with excellent clarity and a persistent note of bitter citrus pith. I was strongly reminded of a serious Chablis." (05/2012)

2002 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2002 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay (95RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Chardonnay reveals evolution in its orange liqueur, lemon oil, honeyed grapefruit, roasted hazelnut, and leesy personality. With terrific delineation, intensity, and full body, noble purity, and an amazing texture, it represents California’s version of a Batard-Montrachet. These wines tend to age beautifully for 6-7 years, perhaps even longer ... I just never have any bottles left after that period of time. (RP)" (02/2005)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Kistler "Durell Vineyard" Sonoma Valley Chardonnay ((90-93RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Liqueur of minerals in addition to lemon oil and egg custard might well be a worthy descriptor for the 2003 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard. Light gold with a greenish hue, this wine is a bit more evolved in color than the McCrea Vineyard, but generous, full-bodied, and rich, with uplifting, vibrant acidity, giving freshness and zest to all the component parts. This is a candidate for 4-5 years of aging, although I suspect it is going to last longer." (02/2005)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Peter Michael "Belle Côte" Knights Valley Chardonnay (95RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Chardonnay Belle Cote is always a more exotic wine. There are 2,200 cases of the 2005 Chardonnay Belle Cote, a wine with undeniable notes of crushed stones, white peach, orange, nectarine, and quince. Medium to full-bodied, with zesty acidity, stunning minerality, and a firm structure, this is a gorgeous, French-styled Chardonnay that should drink nicely for up to a decade. This 121-acre estate with 114 producing acres of vineyard all located in Knight’s Valley continues to be at the top of their game and I can’t recommend the wines highly enough." (12/2007)

Of the 2005 Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc 1er Cru “Morgeot-Fairendes”,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Musky aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers. Juicy, intensely flavored and nicely delineated, with good cut to the flavors of pear, citrus peel and spring flowers. This boasts surprising acid spine and good density. A step up in grip and length from the Chaumes: Pillot picked this parcel early in 2005. Carrying a reasonable 13.2% alcohol. " (09/2007)

Wine Spectator: "Intense and minerally, rich but not fat, and racy, evoking lemon, apple and stone notes accented by spicy oak. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (95BH, 95ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very pale but bright color. Extremely reticent, soil-driven nose hints at pineapple and sweet spices; a pure expression of this great site. Like liquid silk on the palate: enters velvety-smooth, then expands to the point where it virtually too big for the mouth. A wine of great purity and breed, riper and richer than its 12.8% alcohol would suggest. There was literally more taste and texture in my mouth after I spit this wine. But the Preuses is even longer. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "* Don't Miss! * This ever-so-mildly reduced Montrachet is notably more elegant than either of its two grand cru stable mates though also much more aromatically restrained with a reluctant yet beautiful nose of white flower, spiced pear, peach and discreet minerality. The opulent and broad-scaled flavors possess terrific mid-palate concentration that coats the palate with a fine layer of dry extract that buffers well the firm acidity on the explosive, powerful and hugely long finish. A 'wow' wine!" (02/2011)

2009 Etienne Sauzet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Etienne Sauzet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (95BH, 95RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Batard-Montrachet reveals considerable body and heft in its exuberant fruit. This is all about fruit, textural richness and sheer depth. The aromas and flavors build impressively towards the explosive finish. At the same time, there are elements of restraint that add balance. The Batard needs a few years in bottle to settle down, but it is a big wine and is likely to always speak with a certain amount of gravitas. The Batard is made from two parcels; the first just on top of Bienvenues, the second on the Chassagne side, vinified separately. Anticipated maturity: 2014+. (AG)" (09/2011)
