1996 Salon "Le Mesnil" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Salon "Le Mesnil" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (97AG, 97RP, 96WE, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Salon is yet another wine that is maturing splendidly. Once focused to the point of being painfully austere and angular, today the 1996 Salon has begun to soften and fill out. My latest bottles have been rich, generous and totally compelling in every way. (AG)" (11/2010)

1990 Alain Robert "Le Mesnil - Téte de Cuvée Réserve" Brut Champagne (1.5L)
Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 1990 Alain Robert "Le Mesnil - Téte de Cuvée Réserve" Brut Champagne (1.5L) (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The superb 1990 Blanc de Blancs Reserve Le Mesnil is a current release from this small estate. Warm, toasty aromas emerge as the wine opens up in the glass. This is a full-bodied, intense Champagne with slightly oxidative flavors that add complexity to the rich, honeyed fruit. The wine possesses superb depth and richness, along with a finessed mousse and awesome balance. Readers who want to experience an aged yet fresh wine from the prestigious Le Mesnil vineyard will want to consider this beautifully-crafted Champagne. (AG)" (12/2008)

2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Rosé Champagne
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Dom Pérignon Brut Rosé Champagne (98RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Unfortunately there is only one new release from Dom Perignon on the market, but what a wine it is! The 2002 Brut Rose explodes from the glass with endless layers of huge, voluptuous fruit, A big, full-bodied wine, the 2002 is probably the most overly vinous, intense Rose ever made by long-time Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy. Layers of cool, insistent minerality balance the fruit beautifully on the crystalline, vivid finish. The 2002 will be nearly impossible to resist young, but take my word for it; the wine is extremely closed right now. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2032." (11/2012)

1978 Taittinger Collection "Vasarely" Brut Champagne
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1978 Taittinger Collection "Vasarely" Brut Champagne in original presentation boxes. This is the debut vintage of Taittinger's Collection series, originally released in 1983. The goal of this collection is to unite Champagne and art by commissioning artists to design special edition bottles. This stunning bottle's design comes from optical artist Victor Vaserely, as the wine's name indicates. Making this cuvée all the more rare, the 1978 harvest was one of the smallest in the history of Champagne since the pre-war period (78 million bottles). This highly-collectible Champagne was produced from 40% Chardonnay grapes from the best vineyards in the Côte de Blancs and 60% Pinot Noir harvested from the best vineyards on the Montagne de Reims.

1978 Taittinger Collection "Vasarely" Brut Champagne (qty: 5)

1990 Moët & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Moët & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (98RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium lemon-straw colour. Intensely fragrant nose with aromas of jasmine, cinnamon buttered toast, stewed apples and preserved ginger. Concentrated honey-nut, warm apple tart and spice flavours fill the mouth giving ample flesh to the firm, fine structure. The bubbles are still remarkably frisky and, in harmony with the crisp backbone of acid, make for a relatively youthful, elegant and exquisitely balanced wine. Very long finish. (LPB)" (03/2009)

1996 Krug Brut Champagne
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Krug Brut Champagne (100W&S, 99ST, 99WS, 98AG, 98RP). Wine & Spirits: "It's hard to imagine how a wine of this power can sustain perfect balance. What is now a more nonchalant intensity in the aroma was, in fact, too much to handle when we tasted this last year, as if the wine had no time for mere humans with their limited sense receptors. If you stop to taste ripe pear, ginger spice, apple blossom and butterscotch the wine leaves you lost in random flavor descriptors as it soars off into a vinous glow that lasts for minutes. This may well be the greatest vintage wine of Henri Krug's career (unless it is challenged by the 2002). It is impossible to predict how long this wine will thrive in bottle, though considering the current fine condition of the 1959 Krug, the first 50 years are a given." (12/2008)
