2001 Muga "Torre Muga" Rioja
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Muga "Torre Muga" Rioja (97RP, 95ST, 93W&S, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Torre Muga is an undeniably great wine. Still a deep purple color, on the palate it is densely packed, rich, and structured for the long haul. Give it another 8-10 years of cellaring and drink it through 2041. (JM)" (06/2010)

2005 Bodega Numanthia Termes Toro "Numanthia"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Bodega Numanthia Termes Toro "Numanthia" (94WE, 94WS, 93ST). Wine Spectator: "Espresso and allspice flavors show oak, but there's plenty of ripe black fruit on the palate. The plush texture is supported by ripe, muscular tannins, and licorice, mineral and graphite notes add complexity. Best from 2010 through 2020." (01/2009)

2004 Artadi (Lacalle y Laorden) "Viña El Pison" Rioja
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Artadi (Lacalle y Laorden) "Viña El Pison" Rioja (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 El Pison stands out from its peers. It has a deeper color than the 2007 with a splendid nose that jumps from the glass. Notes of espresso, balsamic, Asian spices, pain grille, mineral, and black cherry lead to a velvety, mouth-filling, deep wine that effortlessly combines elegance with power. It should easily drink well for another 30-40 years. It simply does not get any better. (JM)" (06/2010)

2001 Dominio de Pingus "Flor de Pingus" Ribera del Duero
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Dominio de Pingus "Flor de Pingus" Ribera del Duero (95ST, 93WE, 92WS, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, bright ruby-red. Cherry, licorice and smoked meat at the outset; then exploded with raspberry fruit. Lush, smooth and silky, with lovely inner-mouth perfume. Highly complex flavors of raspberry, minerals, bitter chocolate and smoky oak convey an extraordinary sweetness without any excess weight. Expands wonderfully on the extremely long, aromatic finish, which features noble, palate-dusting tannins. From the recorked bottle, the wine again began with dominant smoky, tarry torrefaction notes, and within minutes was taken over by red berries and flowers. More classic than the '03, but the 2003 may be even richer." (09/2004)

2004 Mas Doix Costers de Vinyes Velles Priorat, Spain (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Mas Doix Costers de Vinyes Velles Priorat, Spain (OWC - 98RP, 93ST, 93WS) in original wood. 98 points from the Wine Advocate! They say, "The 2004 Costers de Vinas Viejas is 50% Carinena, 48% Garnacha, and 2% Merlot aged for 16 months in new French oak. Deep purple, the aromas are other-worldly with truffle, tar, graphite, kirsch, and wild blueberry among the array of scents leaping from the glass. Flamboyant and opulent, the wine has remarkable richness and depth of flavor leading to a 60-second finish. Drink this hedonistic effort over the next 10-12 years. 2/28/2007"
