2000 M. Chapoutier "Le Pavillon" Ermitage (1.5L) (OWC)
Bid on this magnum of 2000 M. Chapoutier "Le Pavillon" Ermitage (1.5L) (OWC - 98RP, 94WS, 93W&S, 93WE, 92ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Year in and year out, one of the three greatest Hermitages made is Chapoutier’s Le Pavillon. The black/blue-colored 2000 Ermitage Le Pavillon is brilliant out of bottle. Notes of graphite, ink, licorice, creme de cassis, and minerals jump from the glass of this syrup of Hermitage. Full-bodied, unctuously-textured, gorgeously rich, spectacularly concentrated and long, it is a tour de force in winemaking. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2040. (RP)" (06/2003)

2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon contains 3% Merlot. The principal component comes from the Champoux Vineyard (in which the winery is a partner) with contributions from the Klipsun and Taptiel Vineyards, outstanding in their own right. It, too, was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak. Opaque purple-colored, it has a splendid perfume of violets, wood smoke, truffle, Asian spices, black cherry, and black currant preserves. Opulent and mouth-coating, the layers of complex flavors nearly hide enough tannin to support 8-10 years of additional cellaring. The oak, tannin, and acidity are beautifully integrated and the lengthy finish lasts for well over a minute. Purchasers no doubt will want to try a bottle immediately but this towering effort will not reach its peak until 2015 at the earliest and provide pleasure through 2040. I say this with confide

1996 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (1.5L) (OWC)
Bid on this magnum of 1996 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (1.5L) (OWC - 97AG, 97RP, 95W&S, 94ST, 94WS, 91WE) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the IMW Louis Roederer tasting. Disgorged September 2006. A light silvery hue. The bouquet is still firmly in its first stages of evolution but unfurls in the glass, offering notes of clear honey, acacia, a touch of smoke, a hint of white peach and pink grapefruit. Gaining freshness and intensity with aeration. The palate is beautifully balanced with a bewitching sense of symmetry. Elegant and caressing towards the finish with touches of orange-blossom and apricot. Superb length. Wonderful. (NM-Wine Journal)" (03/2010)

2010 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2010 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97AG, 96ST, 96W&S, 91RP, 90CG). Antonio Galloni: "Firm yet polished tannins provide the backbone for the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Bello. As impressive as it has always been, the 2010 is a structured, powerful wine that is likely to require considerable bottle age to show the full breadth of its pedigree. Black cherry, plum, cassis and graphite notes meld into the intense, mineral-infused finish. Dramatic and towering in style. The late harvest stretched into early November, resulting in a Monte Bello with a decidedly dark profile. The blend is 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Personally, I can't wait to own the 2010." (07/2013)

2006 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2006 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98WE, 96RP, 95ST, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "The 2006 flagship Cabernet from Quilceda Creek is a massive wine that has just begun to emerge from its slumber. When first released the wine seemed to have entered a dumb phase, but six months later it responds to decanting and shows its muscle. Fruit flavors of black, brandied cherries, cassis and bourbon-soaked plums are wrapped in generous, layered oak. The wine is dusty, smoky, laced with streaks of licorice and brightened with sharp acids. It continues to expand further in the glass, adding flesh and spice to its frame, with a cedar/cigar box finish. " (03/2010)

2007 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L)
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2007 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (98RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The exquisite, dark ruby/purple-tinged 2007 Pinot Noir Reuling Vineyard offers up copious aromas of blue, red, and black fruits in addition to terrific acidity, a broad expansive mouthfeel, and roasted meat, black raspberry, wild strawberry, and foresty flora characteristics. It is a big, concentrated Pinot Noir that makes a mockery of all the over-cropped Pinots that are promoted as "authentic expressions of terroir," when in fact, they are made from over-cropped vineyards and prey on those not familiar with what top-flight Pinot Noirs should taste like." 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L) (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth. (RP)" (06/2009)

2004 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru "Vieilles Vignes" (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2004 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru "Vieilles Vignes" (1.5L) (96BH, 95ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " This is also very cool and even more reserved at present, revealing only reluctant glimpses of very ripe and ultra spicy red and black berry fruit notes that are very Pinot in character. The rich, full and powerful flavors are sweet, supple and utterly classy and the intensity this wine displays is seriously impressive and the superbly long and strikingly precise finish is crystalline in its purity and exactness. There is a rigorous element here that suggests this will require the better part of 15 years to be at its best but when it gets there, this is going to be a thrill ride. Readers know that I am not given to undue hyperbole but I love this style of wine as it's at once pure, understated, graceful and utterly composed." (01/2007)

2006 Domaine du Clos de Tart Clos de Tart Grand Cru (Mommessin) (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2006 Domaine du Clos de Tart Clos de Tart Grand Cru (Mommessin) (1.5L) (93BH, 93RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Clos de Tart reflects only a minor inclusion of stems when compared with the 2005, as well as a lighter regimen of pigeage. The ripeness of lightly-cooked black raspberry, cassis, and cherry here pushes in the direction of liqueur or even syrup, with notes of vanilla, lanolin, coconut, and caramel from the (100%) new barrels further contributing to a confectionary personality. This is silken in its sumptuous smoothness and finishes with a vibrant sense of palate-staining fruit intensity and grip. For all the persistent impression of sweetness present, in the end there is brightness as well. Depth here comes via chocolate richness, whereas I would personally have welcomed some signs that mineral or animal mystery was in the offing. Almost certainly, though, this will keep well for a decade or more, during which it might gain in interes

Bid on this magnum of 2005 Kirwan, Margaux (1.5L) (93WE, 93WS, 92RP, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "Has loads of coffee, blackberry and cigar box aromas, turning to crushed blackberry. 2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2011 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (1.5L) (98RP, 97AG, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Decidedly cool climate in character, the 2011 James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock comes from steep, terraced plots of old head trained Syrah vines that, in 2011, wasn’t harvested until November. Co-fermented with a splash of Roussanne and Mourvedre, it’s a spectacular effort that makes the most of the cool, long growing season. It’s also the most long term prospect in the lineup. Offering up a tight, Cornas-like bouquet of black and blue fruits, white pepper, spring flowers and salty minerality, it is full-bodied, beautifully concentrated and seamless on the palate, with ultra-fine tannin and building richness that only starts to develop with a healthy decant. It’s a gorgeous wine, yet needs to be forgotten for at least 4-5 years. It should drink nicely through 2031. (JD)" (08/2014)

Wine Spectator: "Top 100: 2003, Rank: 24 A dense and rich red, with aromas of blackberries and blueberries, with an undertone of minerals. Full-bodied, with lots of tannins and loads of structure and length. Just a baby, but already muscular and developed. Best wine from this estate in years. Same owner as Léoville Barton. Best after 2010." (03/2003)

The Syrah perfumes, at their richest and coolest, combine with black fruits to give an overwhelming impression of immense fruit flavors. " (06/2002)
