1971 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1971 d'Yquem, Sauternes (97RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Served from an ex-chateau bottle. I have always stood by the 1971 Chateau d’Yquem as being one of the most seriously underrated vintages of that decade. I feel completely vindicated in this view as I batted away the 1967 Yquem when tasted at the chateau and entranced its audience. This great Yquem was born during 10 days from October 6, when warm and humid conditions caused an outbreak of botrytis. It was a small crop of just 228 barrels. Slightly deeper in color than the 1982 Yquem tasted alongside, it is blessed with a truly spellbinding nose that has such energy and frisson that you don’t know where to look. You can detect Mirabelle, ripe Satsumas, citrus peel and beeswax. The palate is vibrant, animated and simply electrifies the mouth upon entry. The 1971 has immense concentration, while the almost Tokaji Aszu-like finish is beautifully poised. This is simply an outstanding Yquem that shows

2008 Sine Qua Non "Jinete Bajo Vin de Paille" Roussanne (375ml) (OWC)
Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "Jinete Bajo Vin de Paille" Roussanne (375ml) (OWC - 96RP, 95ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The days of the Mr. K wines are gone forever with the tragically premature death of Austrian Alois Kracher, who had partnered with Manfred Krankl in this intriguing homage to sweet nectars. Krankl continues on his own, and in Spring, 2011, he will release the 2008 Jinete Bajo Roussanne Vin de Paille, which is named after his wife's favorite horse. Made from 100% estate fruit, with a finished alcohol level of 11.8%, a whopping 240 grams per liter of residual sugar, and 8.7 grams of acidity, this is a pure nectar of honeyed marmalade, waxy, syrupy honeysuckle, exotic creme brulee, and citrus. The remarkable acidity cuts through the extraordinary sweetness, so the impression is fresh and vibrant. Krankl has pulled off a marvelous balancing act with this cuvee. How long will it last? I have no idea - maybe 50-100 years, but gi

1977 Fonseca Vintage Port
Bid on this 11-bottle lot of 1977 Fonseca Vintage Port (OWC - 100JS, 100WS, 93RP) in original wood. Wine Spectator: "What a Vintage Port. Dark ruby center, with a dark garnet edge. Aromas of flowers, blackberry and licorice. Subtle and complex. Wow. What a palate. Full, concentrated and rich, yet balanced and beautiful. Solid and sleepy. Still not giving all it has to give. This is just coming around. Gorgeous and classy. Love it. (Web-2008)"

1991 Graham's Vintage Port
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 1991 Graham's Vintage Port (OWC - 94RP, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Graham's 1991 Vintage Port gets my nod as the port of the vintage. While keeping in mind that Graham's aims for a sweeter-styled port, there is no doubting the opaque purple/black color, or the explosive nose of black fruits, licorice, spring flowers, and tar. Thick and full-bodied, with a satiny texture and a blockbuster, alcoholic finish, this is a top-notch vintage port. (RP)" (02/1995)

2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vine de Paille (375ml)
Bid on this half-bottle lot of 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vine de Paille (375ml) (97RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Mr. K The Strawman Marsanne Vin de Paille is 100% Marsanne from the Beckmen Vineyard that boasts 240 grams of residual sugar per liter. A medium gold-colored effort, it reveals more marmalade notes interwoven with notions of maple syrup, honeysuckle, and exotic tropical fruits. While untuously-textured with remarkable sweetness, it is not cloying because of the fresh acids. I have no idea how long these wines will last, but they will undoubtedly keep for many years. 2005 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K" Half-Bottle Tasting Lot
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K" Half-Bottle Tasting Lot (OWC), including 2-bottles of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Noble Man" Chardonnay (375ml) (98RP, 93ST) and 1-bottle of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vin de Paille (375ml) (100RP, 95ST). Of the 2005 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vin de Paille (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Even more remarkable is the 2005 Mr. K. Marsanne Vin de Paille The Straw Man. One-hundred percent Marsanne from the Beckmen Vineyard, with remarkably low alcohol (7.5%), a whopping 392 grams of residual sugar per liter, and exceptional acidity (6.4 grams of acid per liter), this is one of the most singular sweet wines I have ever tasted. It rivals the great 2000 Suey that was made from Roussanne and ended up with 241 grams of residual sugar. The individualistic, prodigious sweet wines are the products of meticulous attention to detail, obsessive harvesting requirements, and amazing vinifications and upbrin
