1999 Ridge Vineyards "Nervo" Sonoma County Late-Picked Zinfandel
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1999 Ridge Vineyards "Nervo" Sonoma County Late-Picked Zinfandel (94RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Readers looking for a Zinfandel made in the style of Henri Bonneau's famed Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve des Celestins should check out Ridge's 1999 Zinfandel Nervo Late Picked (ATP). A blend of 92% Zinfandel and 8% Petite Sirah, with only .2% residual sugar, this dry wine is made in an enormously concentrated, full-bodied style. It offers huge layers of blackberry and black cherry fruit intertwined with meat, earth, smoke, and underbrush. Formidably endowed, with enormous amounts of glycerin, this powerful yet supple, accessible 1999 is a tour de force in winemaking. Readers on Ridge's mailing list who enjoy large-scaled wines should be sure to latch onto a few bottles of this gem. (RP)" (10/2001)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Far Niente Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 93WE, 90JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The finest Cabernet Sauvignon I have ever tasted from Far Niente may be the 2007 Estate. Its dense purple color is accompanied by fragrant aromatics of creme de cassis, spice box, underbrush, and forest floor. Voluptuously-textured and full-bodied with superb purity and depth as well as a layered, complete finish, this terrific wine should be drinkable before the 2006, but age just as long 20-25+ years. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The magnificent 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon The Core (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a selection of the estate’s finest barrels that is aged 24 months in 100% new French oak. Its inky/ruby/purple color is followed by dense blackberry and cassis flavors intermixed with hints of espresso roast, subtle oak, and lead pencil shavings. Layered, full-bodied, and elegant, it is one of the truly magnificent wines produced in 2006. Drink this classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon between 2012 and 2030+. (RP)" (12/2009)

2007 Vineyard 7 & 8 "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Vineyard 7 & 8 "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95W&S, 94RP, 94WE, 93ST, 93WS). Wine & Spirits: "This wine grows at the Steffens family's ten-acre cabernet vineyard, planted on Spring Mountain in the early 1980s. It emphasizes the high elevation and volcanic soils of the site in its powerful mountain-grown tannin, ferrous in its tension and strength. There's supple fruit underneath, completely filling that structure with substance and style; the wine is built for collectors willing to cellar it for ten or 12 years, when the elegance of that fruit will begin to supersede the tannic power. This is Luc Morlet's first vintage as winemaker at Vineyard 7 & 8." (12/2010)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Allora "Lusso" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Sourced from Allora's estate vineyard in St. Helena. From the winery: "After only five years, this may be the most complex and layered Lusso to date. This wine is made from clone 15 and is stunning, full of bright and long lasting fruit, ripe berries and dark chocolate. This wine never goes into a stainless steel tank and is barrel fermented with wild yeast from the grape skins. Lusso is a highly extracted and decadent wine that indulges your entire palate in pure luxury. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and ages beautifully."

2006 La Lagune, Haut-Médoc
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 La Lagune, Haut-Médoc (91JS, 91RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Having just had the 2005 La Lagune, which I think is the greatest La Lagune I have ever tasted, the 2006 certainly loses some prestige in comparison, but this is an outstanding wine and further evidence of just how strong this estate’s wines have become. Sweet plum and red and black currant fruit, intermixed with notes of resiny pine forest and forest floor as well as a hint of barrique, are followed by a wine with gorgeous depth, an attractive, medium-bodied texture, a fresh, poised personality, and a moderately long finish. This is another beauty, not weighty, but pure, savory, and capable of lasting 15 or more years, although it is accessible already. (RP)" (02/2009)

2008 Merry Edwards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2008 Merry Edwards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (90CG). Connoisseurs Guide: "*One Star* Not far off the pace set by the winery's more expensive, single-estate offerings, this vibrant and well-structured effort is a Pinot with plenty of pieces and a fine sense of depth. Its brightness comes at a slight cost, and there is a bit of stiffening acidity at the finish, but there is solid, keenly defined fruit to be found at every step of the way, and there is no doubt in our minds that the wine will age famously." 2008 Saint-Pierre, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Saint-Pierre, St-Julien (93RP, 93WE, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I predicted from barrel, this stunning effort is a wine to buy by the case. Its opaque ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, barbecue smoke, blackberries and black currants. The full-bodied, textured 2008 Saint-Pierre reveals a skyscraper-like mouthfeel along with tremendous viscosity and unctuosity. One of the richest and potentially longest-lived 2008s, it is a fabulous sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 20+ years." (05/2011)

An explosive perfume of candied dark berries, potpourri, woodsmoke and cola, with a strong mineral overtone. Sappy and penetrating, offering sweet cherry compote and cassis flavors and bracing minerality. Puts on weight with air and finishes with firm tannic grip and lingering floral and spice elements. Attractive aromas of redcurrant, game, licorice and chocolate. Dense and fine-grained, with brisk acidity framing the flavors of blackberry, iodine and game (I might have picked this blind as Malbec!). Bid on this magnum of 2008 Domaine de l'Arlot Nuits-St-Georges "Clos-de-Forets St. Georges" (1.5L) (92RP, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Nuits St. Georges Clos des Forets St.-Georges is a gorgeous wine. Here the freshness of the vintage plays off the warmth of the site nicely. The 2008 is naturally less extroverted than the 2009 tasted alongside it, but the wine nevertheless impresses for its cool, mineral-laced fruit and fabulous length. This is a fairly subtle wine that isn’t quite ready to show all of its cards. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028. (AG)" (05/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (97AG, 97JS, 97RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Moving on to the vineyard designated Syrahs and a fantastic vintage for this cuvee, which goes back to the 2005, 2006 and 2007 levels of richness, the 2009 Syrah Reva (100% Syrah aged 42-months in French oak) offers up more fruit and purity than normal, with only hints of its normal iodine/seaweed tinged profile. Loaded with sweet black raspberry, cassis, wild herbs, flowers and subtle blood and iodine qualities, it is a full-bodied, decadent Syrah that has incredible mid-palate depth, beautiful freshness and a blockbuster finish. It will continue to gain in depth and richness with short-term cellaring and have an easy 12-15 years or ultimate longevity. Drink 2015-2024. (JD)" (08/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Saxum "Heart Stone Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend ((95-97RP), 95AG, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Heart Stone Vineyard opens with a dark, brooding nose redolent of smoke, tar, incense and licorice. Elements of dark, inward fruit continue to build in the glass. There is an exotic element in the Heart Stone that is undeniably appealing. Layers of fruit crescendo to the huge, towering finish. The 2010 is 51% Syrah and 49% Grenache aged in small new French oak barrels, an approach that works extremely well here. Justin Smith seems to know exactly what each of his wines needs. Silky and sweet on the palate, with an almost syrupy quality but also a slight green edge to the currant and plum flavors. This is a relatively delicate, feminine Reva that impresses for its length, balance and utter purity of fruit. Dark red cherries, flowers, mint and silky, saline notes wrap around the expressive fruit on the long, polished finish. A hint of truffles adds to the wine’s sensual, totally beguiling personality. In 2008, the Reva is drop-dead gorgeous. Readers should note that, in this vintage, there is no Lorraine or Seymour’s, so the 2008 is a 'super-Reva!' Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. 96+ points. Just hitting late adolescence, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon cuvee exhibits an opaque dark purple color along with a beautiful, smoky, sweet black currant, licorice, truffle, toast and underbrush-scented nose. With fabulous concentration, great intensity and tremendous purity, this voluptuously textured, full-bodied classic is one of the all-time great Beringer Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons. While drinkable now, it will continue to evolve for at least another 20 years. Of all the superb Private Reserve vintages, the 2001 ranks alongside the 1991, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2005 and 2007. The performances of the two other Cabernet Sauvignons were surprising since I tend to think of these

1985 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape . Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A consistently delicious example of Vieux-Telegraphe, this spicy, fruity, exuberant, flamboyant wine is full-bodied, juicy, and succulent. Although it lacks the extra dimension of flavor and complexity necessary to merit an outstanding score, it consistently provides a pleasing, mouthfilling glass of textbook Vieux-Telegraphe. 2012 Occidental (Kistler) "Occidental Station--Cuvee Catherine" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Occidental (Kistler) "Occidental Station--Cuvee Catherine" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96AG, 93RP). Antonio Galloni: "2012 is the second vintage for Steve Kistler’s personal project. The 2012 Pinot Noir Occidental Station Cuvée Catherine represents 1,000 cases, aged in about 30% new oak. Beautiful strawberry, red cherry and blueberry notes jump from the glass of this dark ruby wine. Attractive aromatics are followed by a medium-bodied, luscious wine with elegance, minerality, and plenty of blue and red fruits, good acidity and a long, long finish. This beauty can be drunk over the next 5-10 years." (01/2015)

2004 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (92WE). Wine Enthusiast: "A bit ungainly now, with massive red and black cherry flavors that burst out in jammy richness. But this is Mayacamas, whose Cabernets are built to last. The tannins are fierce, the acids entirely adequate to protect this wine through 2012, when it should begin to develop bottle character. Bid on this bottle of 2000 Les Cailloux (Andre Brunel) "Cuvée Centenaire" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The heady 2000 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Centenaire is more evolved than either the 2001 or 1998. Extremely full-bodied, with low acidity, and a knock-out bouquet of blackberry and cherry jam intermixed with licorice, pepper, and dried Provencal herbs, this sexy, voluptuous, enormously concentrated 2000 possesses a huge, silky, seamless finish. Drink this irresistible effort now and over the next 12-15 years." (02/2002)

2002 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94ST, 91CG, 91W&S, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational 14,000-case cuvee that is one of the benchmarks for what Napa Valley is capable of achieving. Its dense purple color is followed by copious notes of smoky barbecue, creme de cassis, white chocolate, blackberries, charcoal and truffles. Full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, with sweet tannins in the finish, this 2002 has not yet hit full maturity. Give it another 2-4 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following two decades. I asked the winemaking team what the final blend was for the 2002 Private Reserve, and to the best of their recollection, the largest component was from Steinhauer Ranch (50%), followed by St. Helena Home Ranch (23%) and tiny percentages of Bancroft, Rancho del Oso, Chabot, Marston, and some Cabernet Franc from Howell Mountain. 2010 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97RP, 97WE, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Christophe’s Armada Vineyard Syrah has slowly become one of my favorite releases and the 2010 Syrah Armada Vineyard does nothing to dampen my growing enthusiasm for the vineyard. From a high-density planting in 2001 that lies just behind the winemaking facility (or 'studio' if you’re talking with Christophe), it offers up a brilliant bouquet of sweet kirsch and plum liqueur intermixed with notions of bacon fat, wild herbs, ground pepper and liquid rock. Evolving beautifully with air and incredibly complex aromatically, it is full-bodied, voluptuously textured and delivers serious levels of fruit and richness without ever seeming the least bit heavy or cumbersome. Count me a fan and this knockout Syrah will stand toe-to-toe with the best in the world. Give bottles another 2-3 years of bottle age and enjoy over the following 12-15 years. Drink 2015-2030.

2012 Occidental (Kistler) "Occidental Station--SWK Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Occidental (Kistler) "Occidental Station--SWK Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 97AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As good as the Cuvée Catherine is, there is another Occidental Pinot that is also profound. The 2012 Pinot Noir SWK Vineyard also comes from his 65 acres planted in Occidental. This is a 1,000-case cuvée from a site that sits above the Bodega Headlands Vineyard. With a dark ruby color like its siblings, it is made from 100% Calera and sees only about 30% new French oak. This wine offers a copious mouthful of red, blue and black fruits, medium to full body, terrific acidity, and intense black raspberry and black cherry fruit along with spring flowers, forest floor and spice box. This is a stunning, super-complex, compelling Pinot Noir to drink over the next decade or more." (01/2015)

Wine Spectator: "Well-structured, with a core of pure, ripe plum and blackberry fruit that's fleshy, supple and medium- to full-bodied. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998 Cuvée William Deutz flows from the glass with compelling layers of flowers, apricots, succulent pears, minerals and smoke. This Champagne offers a gorgeous combination of mineral-driven freshness with a richly-textured core of fruit. The Cuvée William Deutz should continue to drink beautifully for at least another decade. For the William Deutz the estate uses a blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier." Of the 1999 Maurice Ecard Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru "Narbantons",Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Blackberries, grapes, and violets can be discerned in the aromatics of the 1999 Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Narbantons. This is a masculine wine, revealing blackberry and dark cherry fruits. It is somewhat rustic, with a firm, foursquare character, yet this wine has the density and depth of fruit to sustain its tannin. (PR)" (06/2001)

2005 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another utterly profound wine is the 2005 Chardonnay Lauren Vineyard. A gorgeous nose of wet rocks, white currants, flowers, pineapple, and honeysuckle are all present in this vivid, full-bodied, powerful wine that tastes like a Chevalier-Montrachet from France. Stunningly rich, pure, and long, this is another tour de force from Mark Aubert, who certainly has the Midas touch when it comes to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It should drink well for 5-8 years." Bid on this bottle of 2007 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 93ST, 92CG, 91W&S, 91WS, 90JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Private Reserves made over the last two decades, this phenomenal wine is obviously still an infant in terms of development, but it exhibits a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of blackberries, white chocolate, licorice, tobacco leaf, smoky barbecue, charcoal and a burning ember-like note reminiscent of a Graves from Bordeaux. A dense, luscious, full-bodied, opulent style, with sweet tannin, this locked and loaded, intense, full throttle Private Reserve should be accessible in 5-6 years and last for 25-30.
