Bid on this bottle of 2000 Trotanoy, Pomerol (96WE, 94RP, 94ST, 93WS). Wine Enthusiast: " This is likely to be one of the most long-lived Pomerol from 2000. It has hugely rich fruit, it is has great density. But what will give it its longevity is the layer of tannin that sits, brooding, in the middle of the wine. Don’t even attempt to drink before 2012. 1989 Larmande, St. Emilion
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1989 Larmande, St. Emilion (93WS). Stunning wine! This is a great vintage for all Bordeaux. Lush, ripe wines. 93 points from the Wine Spectator: "Wonderful. This is a concentrated, earthy red with lots going on. Deep dark-ruby color. Fresh aromas of blackberries, dried herbs and spices. Full-bodied and chewy, with lots of rustic tannins and a long, tobacco aftertaste." (05/99) And, according to Robert Parker: "A flattering wine, the 1989 is nearly as structured and concentrated as the 1988. If you like wonderfully round, hedonistic, soft, alcoholic, luscious St.-Emilions, this super-ripe, heady, and voluptuously textured wine will offer many thrills." (02/93)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Made from a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, this spectacular 2003 hits all the sweet spots on the palate. A glorious bouquet of cedarwood, jammy black currants, cherries, licorice and truffle is followed by a dense, opulently textured, full-bodied wine with terrific purity and freshness as well as deep, velvety textured tannins. 1975 Talbot, St-Julien
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1975 Talbot, St-Julien. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a better showing than normal for this medium-bodied, hard, lean, austere Talbot. 2006 d'Issan, Margaux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 d'Issan, Margaux (94RP, 92JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Now consistently one of the great wines of the appellation, d’Issan has produced a dense purple-colored wine with a beautiful set of aromatics offering a smorgasbord of aromas such as perfumed flowers, incense, graphite, licorice, blueberry, and black currant. The wine is seamlessly constructed, like a fine dress from a haute couture house. With fabulous concentration of fruit, the ethereal elegance and sublime character of this wine make it seem to almost float across the palate with substantial flavor penetration and laser-like focus. This is a gorgeous example of 2006 that can be drunk in 3-4 years or cellared for over two decades. Good value. (RP)" (02/2009)

2006 La Lagune, Haut-Médoc
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 La Lagune, Haut-Médoc (91JS, 91RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Having just had the 2005 La Lagune, which I think is the greatest La Lagune I have ever tasted, the 2006 certainly loses some prestige in comparison, but this is an outstanding wine and further evidence of just how strong this estate’s wines have become. Sweet plum and red and black currant fruit, intermixed with notes of resiny pine forest and forest floor as well as a hint of barrique, are followed by a wine with gorgeous depth, an attractive, medium-bodied texture, a fresh, poised personality, and a moderately long finish. This is another beauty, not weighty, but pure, savory, and capable of lasting 15 or more years, although it is accessible already. (RP)" (02/2009)

1999 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Lafite Rothschild sports an engraved '1999' on the bottle along with an eclipse to mark that significant historical event of August, 1999. It is a quintessential offering from Lafite Rothschild. This prodigious wine is both elegant and intensely flavored, and almost diaphanous in its layers that unfold with no heaviness. An opaque ruby/purple color is accompanied by a complex bouquet of lead pencil, graphite, cedar, creme de cassis, toast, and vanilla. It is medium-bodied, with extravagant layers of richness yet little weight, and a finish that is all sweetness, ripeness, and harmony. This extraordinary Lafite increasingly appears to be a modern day clone of the majestic 1953. A mere one-third of the crop made it into the grand vin!" (04/2002)

1953 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1953 Margaux, Margaux (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1953 Margaux has been delicious for most of its life. Bottles from the cold, damp Paris cellars of the French wine merchant, Nicolas, have exhibited an impressively dark ruby/purple color with only slight lightening at the edge. Its huge nose possesses rich scents of violets, sweet cassis fruit, and spices. Round and opulent, with a velvety texture and gobs of sweet, jammy fruit, this is Chateau Margaux at its most seductive. (RP)" (10/1994)

Of the 1990 Montrose, St-Estèphe,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The final blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc was harvested between September 14 and October 3. The spring was cold, yet summer was extremely hot and dry – one of the hottest vintages since 1949. The fact that virtually no rain fell in September served as a catalyst to get all the grapes ripe and in cellars....This wine has an incredibly complex nose of spring flowers, blackberry and cassis liqueur, scorched earth and barbecue spice. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Branon, Pessac-Léognan (OWC - 97RP, (93-94JS), 94WS, 93ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Once again in 2010, notes of mocha, espresso roast, chocolate, creme de cassis and scorched earth soar from this opaque purple-colored wine. It is aged in 100% new oak, but that is hardly noticeable given the wine’s sensational richness and extravagant fruit. This wine is classic, full-bodied and intense. It’s just a shame that less than 8,000 bottles are usually made. This wine is still backward, but very full, rich, and impressively pure in texture. Give it another 5-8 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 20+ years. From a small but fabulous jewel of a property owned by the Garcin family, sandwiched between Malartic Lagraviere and Haut-Bailly, this blend of 50% Merlot and the rest equal parts Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely sensational. Full-bodied, delivering firm tannins and a very fresh palate. Long and flavorful, offering currant, berries and all sorts of dark fruits, but turns lightly earthy and floral. This is a thoroughly complex wine. Just starting to really open into the mature 20-year-old wine it is, but such a great life ahead of it. Muscular. (Web-2010)"

2010 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (97RP, 97WE, 95JS, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Administrator Christian Seeley thinks the 2010 is the greatest Pichon Longueville Baron he has ever made, equaling some of the estate’s colossal wines from vintages such as 1989 and 1990. It was certainly showing well when I stopped by the chateau in January. Opaque purple, with loads of charcoal, licorice, incense and some exotic Asian spices along with abundant cassis liqueur, blackberry and hints of roasted coffee and spring flowers, it is full-bodied and opulent, with relatively high tannins, but they have sweetened up considerably and seem less aggressive than they did from barrel. The oak is clearly pushed to the background by the wine's wealth of fruit, glycerin and full-bodied texture. This sensational Pichon Longueville Baron needs 5-6 years of cellaring, and should keep 30+ years. (97+) " (02/2013)

1986 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1986 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (94RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1986 is finally emerging from the dormant stage that many of the wines from this vintage (especially the Medocs) have been going through. It is a full-bodied, still backward wine that will appeal to classicists and old line traditionalists given its firm structure and austere tannins. Nevertheless, the color is a healthy deep garnet and the wine exhibits wonderful freshness along with notes of underbrush, damp earth, black currants, cedar and new saddle leather. Well-balanced with good depth, medium to full body, and a tannic (although not excessively so) finish, this may not be the most finesse-styled, elegant Lynch Bages ever produced, but it is an interesting Pauillac that will benefit from another 3-4 years of cellaring. While it may never hit the peaks achieved by great Lynch Bages vintages, it will be one of those rare wines that will last 40+ years." (08/2011)

1995 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (95RP, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bottled in June, 1997, this profound Mouton is more accessible than the more muscular 1996. A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 19% Merlot, it reveals an opaque purple color, and reluctant aromas of cassis, truffles, coffee, licorice, and spice. In the mouth, the wine is "great stuff," with superb density, a full-bodied personality, rich mid-palate, and a layered, profound finish that lasts for 40+ seconds. There is outstanding purity and high tannin, but my instincts suggest this wine is lower in acidity and slightly fleshier than the brawnier, bigger 1996. Both are great efforts from Mouton-Rothschild." (02/1998)

2009 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (100RP, 98JS, 96ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An amazing wine in every sense, this classic, full-bodied Pauillac is the quintessential Pontet Canet from proprietor Alfred Tesseron, who continues to reduce yields and farms his vineyards biodynamically a rarity in Bordeaux. Black as a moonless night, the 2009 Pontet Canet offers up notes of incense, graphite, smoke, licorice, creme de cassis and blackberries. A wine of irrefutable purity, laser-like precision, colossal weight and richness, and sensational freshness, this is a tour de force in winemaking that is capable of lasting 50 or more years. The tannins are elevated, but they are sweet and beautifully integrated as are the acidity, wood and alcohol (which must be in excess of 14%). This vineyard, which is situated on the high plateau of Pauillac adjacent to Mouton Rothschild, appears to have done everything perfectly in 2009. This cuvee should shut down in the cellar an

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (94RP, 94WE, 92JS, 91ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest over-achieving efforts in this vintage as well as a 'best buy' for a top-flight St.-Julien, this 2008 is an irresistible success. It reveals an opaque ruby/purple color, lots of unctuosity and a boatload of sweet cassis and black cherry fruit intertwined with notions of licorice, smoke and oak. Full-bodied, remarkably concentrated and stunningly pure and textured, this sensational wine is already drinking well, and will be even better with 2-3 years of cellaring. 2009 Gruaud Larose, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Gruaud Larose, St-Julien (95JS, 95RP, 94ST, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I wrote in my barrel tasting note, the 2009 appears to be the finest Gruaud Larose since their 1990. Some of my concerns about too much brett in previous vintages are long gone as the purity of the 2009 jumps out. Copious notes of sagebrush, cedar, cigar box, licorice, incense, blackberries and lead pencil shavings suggest a big Pauillac rather than a St.-Julien. Broad, rich and full-bodied with good balance and abundant, but sweet, well-integrated tannin, this big, masculine Gruaud Larose reveals remarkable finesse, richness, extract, density and a cascade of fruit that nearly hides the lofty tannins. This beauty should be at its best between 2020-2045." (02/2012)

Builds on the palate. Reminds me of the 1996 Las Cases. May be better." (03/2005)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 l'Evangile, Pomerol (OWC - 93RP, 92ST, 92WE, 90WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sexy, dark ruby/purple-tinged 2006 l’Evangile achieved 14% natural alcohol, as high as any of the great vintages at this estate. Abundant amounts of dark raspberry and black cherry fruit intertwined with sweet plums and hints of figs as well as spring flowers jump from the glass of this medium to full-bodied, fleshy, supple-textured, silky wine. Drink it now or cellar it for 15-20 years." (02/2009)

2004 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (96WE, 95RP, 95W&S, 93ST, 93WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Yes, there is power to this wine. But more than that, it exudes authority; a dense and solid wine with an impressive presence and texture. It has a velvet mouthfeel: the tannins are dusty and mineral, alongside fruit flavors of ripe black plums and dark figs, leavened with fresh acidity. The potential, of course, is there: 20 years if you can wait." (06/2007)

1996 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Pauillac (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A strong case can be made that this is the finest Duhart produced since the 1982. The color is a saturated dark ruby/purple. The bouquet offers aromas of blackberry fruit intermixed with licorice, minerals, and dried herbs. Rich and intense, with considerable finesse, medium to full body, and outstanding concentration and purity, this should be a reasonably priced wine. It reflects the increased attention Lafite's administrator, Charles Chevalier, has been giving this nearby estate. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020. (RP)" (04/1999)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big time sleeper of the vintage and a terrific success for Fieuzal, the 2008 is a wine to buy given its realistic price. Dense plum/purple-colored with a soaring bouquet of blue and black fruits, unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings and spring flowers, it is a suave, savory, medium to full-bodied, remarkably silky, appealing wine to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. Bravo!" (05/2011)
