2008 Lucien le Moine Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2008 Lucien le Moine Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) ((92-95BH), (93-94ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A trace of wood spice accompanies backward and still very primary aromas of floral, peach and mineral notes, all of which continue onto the citrus-infused, naturally sweet and powerful flavors of imposing scale and almost painful intensity are blessed with buckets of dry extract and a driving, bone dry finish. At present, this is an understated and moderately austere Monty that will require at least a decade to fully develop." (06/2010)

2011 Domaine Taupenot-Merme Gevrey-Chambertin
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Taupenot-Merme Gevrey-Chambertin. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Gevrey-Chambertin Village comes from several parcels: La Justice, Carite Paille, Les Seuvrees and Bel Air and offers pleasant rounded wild strawberry and dark cherry fruit that display commendable clarity. The palate is clean and rounded on the entry: a fine line of acidity and an elegant persona, with suggestions of white pepper tingling on the finish. This Gevrey is the best of Taupenot-Merme’s Village Crus in 2011. (NM)" (08/2013)

1999 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru (94BH, 92WS, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "I was quite surprised to find just how open for business this was in magnum format as I expected something far more reserved but such was not the case. A beautiful and highly expressive nose of ripe black cherry, earth and the hallmark red pinot fruit is followed by medium weight yet concentrated flavors of bacon, smoke and sappy pinot extract that are given lift and verve by the intense minerality and outstanding length. This has added a good deal of weight and seems more powerful than before yet it remains very stylish and classy with excellent potential though like the same wine in 750 ml (see herein), this is so well balanced and harmonious that it could easily be drunk now with pleasure. That said, unless you are lucky enough to have this in quantity, I would counsel cellaring it for another 5 to 10 years. In a word, terrific." (05/2010)

Of the 1999 Maison Alex Gambal Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The outstanding medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Charmes-Chambertin has mouth-watering cookie dough, candle wax, and cherry syrup aromas. This is a lush, sexy, feminine wine with oily cherries, raspberries, and blueberries in its expressive personality. While it lacks the density of the vintage's finest wines, it delivers loads of pleasure with its in-your-face, sweet fruit. (PR)" (06/2001)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Perrières" ((94-96RP), (91-93BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Nuits St. Georges Les Perrieres is the first wine in this lineup that shows the intense minerality of the year. Crushed rocks, slate and minerals add considerable depth and energy to a core of expressive dark red fruit. The Perrieres impresses for its length, energy and sheer drive. This is another compelling effort, but it is a wine for the exceedingly patient. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040. (AG)" (02/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Joseph Roty Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Très Vieilles Vignes" (94ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Captivating aromas of dark raspberry, licorice, underbrush and truffle. Supple, silky and sweet, with uncanny depth for a wine from this vintage. Highly concentrated flavors of cherry, spice and black licorice; really fat with sweet fruit, and distinctly fruitier today than the Griottes. Broad and full but with zero heaviness. Very long finishing flavors of spice and licorice. An incredible performance in the context of the year. And structured to last. " (03/2007)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2005 Maison Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (98ST, 95BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Wonderfully ripe, deep aromas of lime, minerals and crushed stone. An incredible mouthful of stones and minerals, with uncanny intensity, juiciness and lift. At this point in my marathon tasting with Boillot, my handwriting was degenerating and I was using exclamation marks rather than adjectives. Flat-out great white Burgundy. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Champans" ((91-93BH), (91-93RP), (90-93ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Volnay Champans presents a deeper, richer and more powerful expression of fruit than the Mitans. It was also made with 100% destemmed fruit. Here the aromas and flavors are on the darker side of red, but it is more the wine’s muscle and textural plushness that distinguishes it. Sweet spices, red berries and licorice wrap around the plush finish. This is another great effort." (02/2012)

Juicy and youthfully imploded, with dark berry flavors perked up by violet and mineral elements. Not showing the fleshy side of 2010 but intense and sharply delineated. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Henri Boillot's ambitious and burgeoning negociant arm is made up in large part of many small bottling lots, representing remarkably many of the Cote d-Or's most prestigious crus. -Precision and minerality- are words he offers to explain his intentions even in a vintage as ripe as 2006, and for the most part he walks the accompanying walk, with wines (largely assembled in tank) that showed more generously and expressively than did Boillot's estate wines on the same day. Deep, densely packed and penetrating, showing a subtle sweetness leavened by spices and minerals. Finishes very long, subtle and precise, with saline minerality and fresh herb notes adding interest. There is good focus to the rich, solidly well-concentrated and relatively powerful flavors that are balanced and harmonious while terminating in a firm and impressively lingering finish. While certainly enjoyable now this is developing more slowly than I originally foresaw and thus I would be inclined to give this delicious effort another 3 to 5 years of cellar time before drinking up in earnest." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Nuits St. Georges Clos des Forets St.-Georges is a gorgeous wine. Here the freshness of the vintage plays off the warmth of the site nicely. The 2008 is naturally less extroverted than the 2009 tasted alongside it, but the wine nevertheless impresses for its cool, mineral-laced fruit and fabulous length. The round and supple medium weight flavors possess excellent mid-palate concentration with good flesh and plenty of mouth coating dry extract that pushes the firm core of tannins to the background on the ever-so-mildly rustic and austere finish. However, underneath is a lovely wine in the making, offering up scents of red and black cherries, plums, cocoa, a touch of nutskin, grilled meats and a bit of new oak. Much wilder and darker on the nose than the '01, and youthfully unforthcoming today. The palate offers superb intensity, cut and precision, with extremely primary flavors of black fruits, peony and blood orange. I would have placed this somewhere between Le Musigny and a grand cru from Vosne-Romanee. This impressively gripping wine tightened up with air. Finishes with firm tannins and superb clarity, length and class. Needs extended cellaring and should be a great bottle in a decade or so. If this wine seems blacker in character than it did at the outset, the 2001 seemed redder at this tasting than it did when I first tasted it from bottle in 2003. Interestingly, grape sugars in '99 were just 11.9%, and the finished wine is 13% alcohol; the crop level here was 44 hectoliters per hectare, the highest yield for any of the wines in o

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "At around 75 cases (3 barrels) the 2008 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses represents a large lot by Le Moine standards, for which I hope a goodly number of wine lovers will be able to give thanks. Red currant, kirsch, freesia, citrus zest, and smoky black tea in the nose lead to a palate performance of brightness, wafting florality, and interactive complexity such would befit a great Riesling, with saline and subtly carnal savor as well as a crystalline sense of minerality shimmering through a long finish. This should be worth following for 15-20 years but I would on no account miss out on drinking some young as well. (DS)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 10-bottle lot of 2003 Frédéric Magnien Pommard 1er Cru "Les Grands Épenots" (94RP, (90-92BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As was reported in my article on the 2003s of southern Burgundy (Issue #158), Pommard produced some of the vintage’s finest efforts. In other words, Frederic Magnien knew what he was doing when he served his 2003 Pommard Grands Epenots after all his premier crus from the Cote de Nuits. This immense wine boasts a nose of black fruits and spices. Full-bodied, it is hugely concentrated, powerful, and chunky. Its flavor profile, composed of spice-laden blackberries and dark cherries, slathers the palate, lingering for more than 45 seconds. Somewhat uncivilized at present, this brawny, bulky wine will require cellaring. Projected maturity: 2010-2020. (PR)" (08/2005)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There was extreme millerandage in the fruit from which is 2006 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers was derived, notes Bruno Clair, and yet the finished wine weighs in at under 13% alcohol. Bittersweet cassis and blueberry fruit – with a high-toned, berry and herb distillate-like shadow to its fresh fruit – are refreshingly juicy and transparent to underlying chalk and stone nuances. Bid on this magnum of 2011 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru "Les Rugiens-Bas" (1.5L) ((92-94BH), 92ST, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Sweet Spot Outstanding* This is also quite restrained with ultra-pure aromas of wet stone, floral hints, sandalwood and very fresh red berry fruit scents. There is a focused power to the robust yet refined medium-bodied flavors that possess plenty of supporting sap that helps to buffer the otherwise firm and well-integrated tannic spine on the explosively long, balanced and moderately austere finish. This beauty will also require ample patience." (04/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Roncieres" ((90-93BH), (89-91ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a trace of herbal tea that adds breadth to the otherwise exceptionally fresh and equally pure red currant and wild cherry aromas. There is really beautiful intensity to the precise flavors that are on the lighter side yet deliver that wonderful quality of power without weight. This is first rate as it's balanced, harmonious and offers excellent depth and length." (01/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Christophe Roumier Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: " Full red-ruby. Fruit-driven aromas of black cherry, herbs and licorice. Juicy, fruity and aromatic in the mouth, but not as rich or dense as the Cras. Still, this is showing its fruit today, while the Cras is already starting to close down in bottle. This is all from old vines; the portion of the vineyard replanted to selection massale and clones in 1991 was included for the first time in 2000. (ST)" (05/2002)

Of the 2002 Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "If readers are searching for a super-ripe, blockbuster Corton-Charlemagne, then Henri Boillot’s 2002 should be passed over. However, if elegance, precision, complexity, and detail are what they desire, then they will adore this nectar. Spices, minerals, and slate are found in its complex aromatics. Medium-bodied, fleshy, and revealing outstanding depth, this Corton-Charlemagne is the essence of crystalline purity. Loads of minerals and quartz are intermingled with spices in its deep, nuanced character. (PR)" (02/2004)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Henri Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Les Fremiets" (91ST, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: " Good deep red. Black cherry, licorice and herbs on the nose, given punch by strong peppery spices. Sweet, supple and nicely concentrated if a bit less complex and high-pitched than the 2009 version. Lovely black cherry fruit displays a tangy sweetness. The very long finish features dusty, fine-grained tannins. The crop level here was just 18 hectoliters per hectare, according to Boillot. Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2004 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru (1.5L) (97WE, 93WS, 91ST, 90BH). Wine Enthusiast: "To say this is textbook Pinot Noir is to do this stunning wine an injustice. But it does have everything that should be in a great Pinot Noir--the sumptuousness, the silky tannins, the touch of wood, the red fruits. All of these are enveloped in an elegant structure, leaving freshness and delicious, refreshing acidity at the end. " (03/2007)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Saint Georges" ((92-95BH), (91-94ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Don't miss! Outstanding * Like the Pruliers this is very reserved, indeed it required plenty of swirling to coax the otherwise pretty, layered and remarkably complex nose of underbrush, earth, spice hints, floral nuances plus both red and blue pinot fruit. There is a distinctly earthy and entirely serious character to the refined flavors that are at once supple yet concentrated, all wrapped in balanced, overtly powerful and jaw-dropping persistent finish. Most impressive." (01/2013)

1999 Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots du Milieu"
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots du Milieu" (94BH, 90WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Outstanding* While the Clos des Chênes performed as expected relative to the cask sample, the final Santenots was even better than the cask sample. Wonderfully expressive with massive amounts of spicy black fruit and seductive flavors; the wine has an enormous amount of underlying material and is incredibly complex. But it's the length that defines this wine as it simply goes on and on. It's not hard to see why Lafon believes this is one of the finest wines ever produced at the Domaine. Simply magnificent. 1999 Lucien Le Moine Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Lucien Le Moine Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (91ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright red-ruby. Deep, aromas of sappy red berries and chocolatey torrefaction. Silky, suave and youthful, with a firm spine of acidity keeping the flavors in check. Firm structure should enable this reserved but strong wine to unfold slowly. Finishes subtle and long, with oaky sweetness. Should ultimately merit a higher score." (03/2001)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru "Vieilles Vignes" (OWC - (95-98ST), (94-97RP), (93-96BH)) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, deep red. Pungent, vital aromas of fresh raspberry, crushed rock, wild herbs, licorice and mint. Darker and wilder than the Amoureuses, boasting incredible intensity of fresh fruit and mineral flavors given further lift and precision by strong acidity (the pH here is about 3.4, according to winemaker Millet). This extremely primary 2010 is most impressive today on the great subtly mounting, saline finish, which leaves the salivary glands humming." (01/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (95BH, (92-95RP), 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Chambertin Clos de Beze has a beguiling perfume of red cherry and violet. It is medium to full-bodied, elegant, and unctuously textured. This juicy, sweet red cherry, currant, and raspberry-flavored wine has impeccably ripened tannins detectable in its exceptionally long and delineated finish. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2012. Of the 2002 Jean-Noël Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Blanchot Dessus",Allen Meadows - Burghound writes: "The nose here is slightly exotic but not tropical as the fruit leans more toward spiced pears and peaches rather than bananas and pineapples. The flavors however are firm but rich, precise yet forward with solid detail on the slightly sweet finish. " (07/2004)

1999 Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs" (96BH, 93RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This stunning Ducster remains almost entirely primary at present though I sense that the nose will begin to turn toward the secondary in the next year or two. There is excellent richness and plenty of supporting structure and minerality to the full-bodied flavors yet the usual precision and focus are present in spades on the mouth coating, serious and still moderately austere finish that delivers explosive length. This is going to be an extremely long-lived wine and while I suspect that it should be approachable and enjoyable around 2017 or so, I doubt that it will be fully ready for at least another 10 to 12 years from now. Irrespective of how long it ultimately requires, the 1999 Ducster is going to be one very special wine when it finally gets there. Drink: 2024+" (04/2012)

Of the 1999 Domaine Michel Magnien Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The dark ruby-colored 1999 Charmes-Chambertin has mouth-watering, red cherry syrup aromas.
