Corbin Michotte owns 32 acres of vineyards in the Saint-Emilion region, bordering the Pomerol appellation. Two distinct soil types exist in the estate vineyards: sandy soils on iron-clay subsoil, and clay soils. This duality of the terroir contributes to the complex yet balanced wines for which Corbin Michotte is known. 2001 was a very good year for Bordeaux reds in this region; they are characterized by a refined style and ripe tannins.
