2007 Merry Edwards "Klopp Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2007 Merry Edwards "Klopp Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L) (97CG, 94WE, 91WS, 89ST). Connoisseurs Guide: "It is not that this wine is bigger or bolder than its stablemates. It just seems that way because its generous aromas seemingly jump out of the glass, and the layered quality of those aromas reinforces the notion that this is top-notch Pinot. Its full and supple impressions at entry are followed by ripe, deep and deliciously fruity flavors of sweet red cherries, toasted bread, rich, creamy oak and hints of dried raspberries. Its initial hints of velvet might suggest early drinking, but this is a Pinot with lots and lots of potential for growth." (06/2010)

2007 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Chardonnay Three Sisters Vineyard (a terrific site owned by the Martinelli family) reveals a straw color with a greenish hue (always a positive sign) and a wonderful citrus oil, lemon blossom and crushed rock-scented perfume with a subtle hint of oak as well as a distinctive minerality. Full-bodied with good acidity and superb purity, it should drink well for 10-15 years. 96+ points. (RP)" (02/2011)

Of the 2007 Rhys "Alpine Hillside" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Rhys Vineyards produces very ambitious wines from vines planted in specific sites in the Santa Cruz Mountains...it is almost impossible to latch on to a few bottles unless you are on the mailing list. The vineyards are generally tightly spaced (2 by 3 feet for Pinot Noir and 4 by 3 feet for Syrah), and the clonal selections are multiple in order to hopefully achieve more complexity and nuance. This is an impressive, well thought out operation, believing, certainly with Pinot Noir, in whole clusters, no racking, and a minimal, artisinal approach to winemaking. The yields are naturally very smal

2007 Littorai "Hirsch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Littorai "Hirsch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (91ST, 90RP, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. Strawberry, flowers, fresh herbs, black tea and spices on the nose. Juicy, bright and gripping, with lovely acidity framing the strawberry, orange peel, licorice and spice flavors. Finishes with sweet tannins and very good length. Winemaker/owner Ted Lemon noted that cool weather in May and June of '07 resulted in an extended and uneven flowering but that the season from that point was "close to ideal, with little stress on the vines." Some brilliant sunshine at the end of August was great for early-picked vines (as a general rule, Lemon prefers to pick early, especially with chardonnay), but then "everything stopped" during the middle two weeks of September due to cooler conditions, and there was "a very long pause" at Littorai. Ultimately, says Lemon, the 2007s have acidity levels similar to those of the 2006s but with lower

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Vieux Telegraphe may be the greatest wine made at this property since the 2005 and 1998. Dense ruby/purple-tinged with an exquisite nose of salty sea breezes, licorice, ground pepper, jammy black cherries, black currants, figs, and plums, this is a full-bodied, rich, Provencal-styled offering with lots of sweet, ripe tannin. It is surprisingly accessible for a Vieux Telegraphe (this wine normally shuts down several years after bottling), but it should have great longevity (25+ years) given its power, full-bodied mouthfeel, and enormous length and richness. This is a brilliant effort from brothers Frederic and Daniel Brunier. (96+, RP)" (10/2009)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A breakout vintage here, these 2007s are pretty much spectacular across the board. Starting out, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is an incredible wine in every way (including value). Possessing a classic Southern Rhone style in its blackberry, cassis, licorice, roasted herb and cured meat-styled aromas and flavors, it has full-bodied richness, no hard edges and blockbuster length. Count yourself lucky if you purchased a bunch of this on release. (JD)" (08/2014)

Of the 2007 Kapcsandy Family "Grand Vin-State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Absolutely riveting, and even better than I predicted last year is the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon - Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard. Made from 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, and the rest tiny dollops of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot...in two weeks of tastings, this wine stood out as one of those singular efforts that it is impossible to get out of your mind and off of your palate. 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. Drink 2017-2037. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 95WS, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Les Pavots, a Bordeaux varietal blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, is brilliant. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by gorgeously complex aromas of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries, and cassis. Full-bodied with a superb texture, a subtle note of oak, and fabulous concentration, it is more reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux than one expects with this much Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. A thirty-year wine, its impeccable balance and the sweetness of its tannins make it accessible already. (RP)" (02/2010)

Aromas of black cherry, licorice, smoke and dark chocolate. Fat, supple and suave, with the wine's pronounced sweetness giving it an almost unctuous quality. Finishes with outstanding persistence. The wine's sweetness is currently hiding its underlying acidity and minerality. " (03/2010)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2007 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (1.5L) (95WE, 90ST). Wine Enthusiast: "A fabulously rich and approachable Pinot Noir that offers everything now, yet will also age. The considerable tannins will protect it in the cellar for a good 6-8 years, but it's so fresh and vibrant in cherries, red currants and oak-inspired red licorice that it's hard not to drink it now. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Littorai "Roman Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (92ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Moderately saturated medium red. Strawberry, mocha and musky brown spices on the rather low-pitched nose. Then dense and sweet in the mouth, with good richness and texture to the raspberry, brown spice and underbrush flavors. More aromatic in the mouth than the nose would suggest, but this tactile, chewy wine is classically dry and backward today. Finishes with plenty of tannins and excellent persistence. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is unquestionably one of the great Chateauneufs of my lifetime...Wow, what potential complexity, mind-boggling richness, and compelling flavor profile are apparent. It is a sublime expression of the art of winemaking as evidenced by its dense purple color and big, sweet kiss of kirsch, framboise, blackberries, licorice, roasted herbs, and smoked meat. It hits the palate with a fascinating combination of substance, power, full-bodied authority yet extraordinary freshness, elegance, and precision. Give it 3-4 years of cellaring, and watch it unleash its glory over the next three decades. 2007 Sine Qua Non "Body & Soul" Roussanne-Viognier
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Body & Soul" Roussanne-Viognier (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The new cuvee of white wine, the 2007 Body and Soul, a 475-case blend of 71% Roussanne and 29% Viognier, is primarily from the 11 Confessions Vineyard. Krankl has dropped Chardonnay from the blend, and the resulting wine is a beacon for what can be achieved by blending two white Rhone varietals. About one-third new French oak is used. Honeysuckle, orange blossom, lemon oil, tropical fruit, and floral notes are found in this unctuously-textured white. Full-bodied and dry, with good underlying minerality, crispness, and an alluring freshness, it is impossible to know how such a wine will age. I just finished my last bottle of the 2001 Albino, which is aging fabulously well, and seems capable of lasting another 4-5 years. These wines are so spectacularly perfumed and intense in their youth that they are hard to resist. (RP)" (08/2009)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Pierre Usseglio "Cuvée de Mon Aïeul" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,800 cases of the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Mon Aieul (100% tank-aged Grenache). It represents an awesome naked/virginal expression of Grenache from three vineyard parcels planted in sand, clay, and limestone soils. After tasting this wine on five separate occasions, I can state with certainty, it has the most saturated color of any Mon Aieul produced to date. Moreover, its perfume of blueberry liqueur, black raspberries, licorice, roasted meat juices, and lavender is incredible. Full-bodied power, a multilayered mouthfeel, tremendous purity, and awesome concentration put this wine in a class by itself. This sensational Chateauneuf du Pape is still very young, and 3-4 years of cellaring is required. It should be a modern day legend and last for nearly two decades. (RP)" (10/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Ponsot: A striking nose of dark plum and fresh berries, bacon fat, and black tea in Ponsot’s 2007 Griotte-Chambertin has its direct counterpart on a polished, expansive, sappy palate that leads to an arrestingly gripping yet at the same time uncannily buoyant finish. Persistent smokiness, berry tartness, animal savor, palpable underlying chalkiness, and saliva-inducing salinity make for compelling complexity and inducement to take the next sip. A distinct liqueur of minerals buttresses the full-bodied, massive concentration, giving an overall impression of elegance, purity, and harmony. This is another seamless tour de force in winemaking. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Dujac Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Boxwood and oregano pungency as well as intimations of tart cherry and rhubarb on the nose of Dujac’s 2007 Morey-St.-Denis 1er Cru fit into an overall pattern of invigoration, with black pepper, salt, an oregano complimenting refreshing, juicy brightness of fruit. At the same time, though, as with many 2007s, three is a faintly caramelized, torrified note not entirely integrated, so that I am left wondering how this wine’s personality will shake-out over the next 3-5 years. This full-bodied, dense, classic mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is built for long-term aging. A perfectly balanced Cabernet, it exhibits a dense purple color along with a big, sweet nose of spring flowers, black and red currants as well as graphite. Performing even better than it did last year from barrel, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon spent 20 months in French oak barrels (90% new). The nose reveals notes of graphite, ink, cassis, and flowers. Superbly concentrated with impeccable purity and balance, this full-bodied wine is one of both power and elegance. If I didn’t know better, I would guess it was from Stags Leap rather than the west side north of St. Helena ... it’s that refined and gracious. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 24 months in new French oak, this infant 2007 exhibits an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, spring flowers and smoky oak. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. Perhaps I should just go ahead and give this 2007 a three-digit score as it is a profoundly great Cabernet Sauvignon-based effort...one of the top Insignias yet produced. (RP)" (11/2013)

Of the 2007 O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Napa Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The stunning 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain (83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, and the rest Malbec and Petit Verdot) is the finest Cabernet this estate has yet produced from their Howell Mountain holdings. A dense purple color to the rim as well as an exquisite bouquet of black raspberries, blueberries, camphor, creme de cassis, smoke, and crushed rocks are followed by sweet fruit, gorgeous density, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a layered, multidimensional mid-palate and length. 2007 Robert Craig "Affinity" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Robert Craig "Affinity" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Affinity exhibits more graphite, but in essence is similarly elegant, with supple tannins (although more velvety than in the 2006), very young, primary black and blue fruit notes, and superb concentration, texture, and length. This is an exceptionally promising wine that is still hiding behind a rather primary display of fruit. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and drink it over the next 15 or possibly 20 years. This is the best group of wines I have ever tasted from Robert Craig Winery. Not only is there not a single disappointment in this portfolio, but these are all noteworthy wines, with thrilling levels of quality. Moreover, they are moderately priced for Napa Valley as well as ageworthy. I think these are the finest wines that I have ever tasted from Robert Craig Cellars. (RP)" (12/2009)

2007 Seavey "Caravina" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Seavey "Caravina" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Readers looking for value in Napa Valley reds need look no further than Seavey’s 2007 Caravina. Last year I wrote that it was the finest second wine they had yet made, and now that it’s in bottle, I can reiterate - it is a sensational effort. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 19 months in French oak casks, this 525-case cuvee is a sleeper of the vintage. This silky smooth, inky/purple-colored wine offers up notes of roasted herbs, cedar, chocolate, espresso beans, and black fruits. Sweet, round, opulent, textured, and fleshy, this beauty can be enjoyed now or cellared for 15 more years. (RP)" (12/2009)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot) Inky ruby. Lively aromas of red and dark berry preserves, with subtle floral and oak spice notes adding complexity. Juicy, gently sweet cherry and blackberry flavors show very good depth, picking up mocha and anise qualities with air. Late-arriving tannins are quickly absorbed by the densely packed, sweet fruit. This is a youngster." (11/2010)

2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97JS, 97ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Harlan Estate reminds me of a hypothetical blend of the 2002 with a touch of the controversial 1997. Dense plum/purple-colored with sweet aromas of barbecue smoke, blueberries, blackberries, cassis, licorice, hot rocks and subtle oak, it is a splendidly opulent, pure wine with a skyscraper-like texture as well as stunningly deep fruit that expands gracefully across the palate. The finish lasts nearly a full minute. Because of its overwhelming richness and sweet tannins, this brilliant wine seems to be approachable now, but I suspect further nuances and complexity will emerge after 4-5 years in the bottle. This wine will still be going strong at age 25-30. Like the offerings from its sister estate, Bond, these Harlan Estate offerings are uncompromisingly brilliant examples of Napa viticulture and winemaking at its finest. Kudos to proprietor

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2007 Manzone Barolo Bricat (94RP, 93JS, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barolo Bricat is tighter and more focused than the 2007 Gramolere. Sweet dark cherries, menthol, licorice and spices are some of the notes that take shape in the glass. The vineyard's high altitude seems to have helped preserve a measure of freshness and vibrancy. The firm tannins could use another few years to soften. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. (AG)" (10/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The extraordinary 2007 Claret, which is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine, displays inky notes of lead pencil shavings, pen ink, creme de cassis, blackberry, incense, and licorice. The wine is super-pure and super-rich, an extraordinarily full-bodied powerhouse of a Cabernet Sauvignon that should evolve for 15 or more years. Antonio Galloni: "The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Sugarille is dazzling. Dark fruit, tar, licorice and smoke come to life in this dramatic, large-scaled Brunello. The 2007 boasts incredible intensity and power all the way through to the palate-staining finish. Today the tannins are big and imposing, but they should start settling down as the wine approaches its tenth birthday. I saw the wine shut down quickly in the glass, which is an excellent sign for its potential longevity. This is a flat-out gorgeous bottle of wine. " (04/2012)

2007 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100AG, 100RP, 98WS, 96JS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As impossible as it might seem, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon takes things to another level. An exquisite, celestial bouquet melds into endless layers of fruit as this rich, voluptuous wine blossoms on the palate. Full-bodied and seductive, the 2007 conquers all of the senses with its head spinning, beautiful personality. As always, Screaming Eagle is a bit more restrained next to Napa Valley's other heavy hitters, yet the pedigree of this opulent vintage comes through in spades. A kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors flows through to the creamy, textured finish. I have tasted the 2007 several times recently and it has always been magnificent. The 2007 appears to be shutting down just a touch, but that is probably a good thing for the future. (AG)" (12/2012)
