2012 Shafer "One Point Five" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon Top Pick!
2012 Shafer "One Point Five" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon One Pint Five is a big-time winner, a blend of almost all Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Malbec and Petit Verdot. The wine has an opaque bluish/purple color, almost indigo, and is full-bodied with dense chocolaty crème de cassis notes, licorice and a touch of minerality. The wine has well-integrated wood, is full and seems balanced and rich enough to age for two decades or more. Year in year out, this is one of the superstar wineries, not only in Napa Valley and all of California, but in the entire world. (RP)" (10/2014)94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Cr ...Read More »

2010 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Top Pick!
2010 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Wine Spectator: "Shows a good touch of bottle age and a notably oaky presence, marked by dill, vanilla bean and coconut notes wrapped around a rich, authoritative, full-bodied core of loamy earth, dark berry, licorice and espresso. Drink now through 2028." (4/2015) K&L Notes: The 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. As always the wine goes to 100% new American oak barrels for aging. From the winery: "Our 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a seamless wine that expresses bright, fresh fruit char... 2012 Pahlmeyer "Jayson" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Wine Spectator: "Rich, with tiers of explosive dark berry, plum, blueberry and melted black licorice flavors. This is tight and focused, maintaining a laser beam of flavor that pushes past the gripping tannins. Best from 2015 through 2025." (11/2014)91 points Wine Enthusiast: "*Cellar Selection* A substantial, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the producer’s own vineyard, as well as others like Stagecoach, this wine is juicy in black cherry, blackberry and plum, and exceptionally silky and smooth on the palate. 2012 Paul Hobbs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon with the Paul Hobbs moniker is pretty serious wine that could easily win many a tasting. Dense purple in color, with notes of blackcurrants, blackberry, charcoal and incense, the wine is full-bodied, opulent and a big-time winner. This is a stunner that’s drinking well already and yet promises to age well for 15-20 years." (10/2014)92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon jumps from the glass with dark red plum, raspberry, spice and new leather. 2010 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour" Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Top Pick!
2010 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour" Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

94 points Antonio Galloni: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Georges de Latour Private Reserve is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Freshly cut flowers, mint, spices, licorice and graphite all burst from the glass as the 2010 shows off its personality. While some of Beaulieu's 2010s are ripe and flashy, the Georges de Latour is wonderfully fresh and alive in the glass, not to mention absolutely classic in feel. Graphite, violets and pencil shavings linger on the close. The 2010 has captured every bit of the potential I sensed last year." Full-blown and expressive through a persistent, mouthcoating finish. Drink now through 2024." (10/2014) K&L Notes: Winery notes: "Located in one of the highest-plantable sites in the southern portion of the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County known as the "Mission District." 2012 DuMol "Eoin" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

95 points Antonio Galloni: "DuMol's 2012 Pinot Noir Eoin Sonoma Stage Vineyard has gained considerable weight since I tasted it last year. Dark, voluptuous and layered in the glass, the 2012 boasts fabulous resonance. The flavors are bold and deeply spiced, with tons of richness and pure volume. Dark red cherries, plums, menthol, spices and new leather meld into the plush, inviting finish. The 33% whole clusters are pretty much buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit. 2011 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Antonio Galloni: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is all about grace. One of the most floral, perfumed wines of the vintage, the 2011 impresses for its balance and sense of proportion. There are no hard edges or green notes in the 2011, even though the wine is smaller scaled than normal. Today, the 2011 is quite open and accessible, but I would not be surprised to see it tighten up in bottle. The bright acidity of the year lingers on the finish. Ric Forman shortened macerations by 50% and opted for gentle extractions. The 2011 also saw a little less new oak than normal. ...Read More »

2010 Anomaly Mayacamas Mountains Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Broad, pliant and sweet, with a distinctly plush texture to the dark raspberry, currant and licorice flavors. In a very ripe, slightly chunky style, finishing with big, broad, mouthcoating tannins." (6/2013) K&L Notes: Anomaly's three estate vineyards are located along an alluvial creek wash on the western edge of the Mayacamas Mountain Range. Burgundian-like notes of raspberries, blueberries, sassafras, cola, tobacco leaf and barbecued meats are followed by a rich, full-bodied, multidimensional, big, earthy, savory Pinot Noir. Enjoy it over the next decade."93 points Antonio Galloni: "Dark red cherries, plums, smoke, game, spices and new leather are some of the notes that take shape in the 2012 Pinot Noir Ryan Widdoes Vineyard. 2011 Altamura Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 30 months in 70% new French oak. Its deep plum/ruby color is followed by aromas of clove, baking spices, black cherries and a hint of strawberry jam. This savory, ripe, medium to full-bodied Cabernet is a successful effort for the vintage. It is best consumed over the next 7-8 years. I have consistently enjoyed Altamura’s wines in the past, so I was not surprised to see how well their current offerings performed. 2008 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "*Cellar Selection* It’s easy to see why Silver Oak remains so popular with the restaurant crowd. It’s made in a more restrained style than many other Napa Cabs. There’s plenty of berry and currant fruit as well as oak, but it’s accompanied by tobacco and herbs that give the wine an earthiness. What the wine lacks in dazzle it more than makes up for in elegance and subtlety. Should develop well for at least a decade." Deep and beautifully layered, the 2011 stands out for its delineation, energy and pure vibrancy. I very much like the sense of energy here. This is a relatively gentle, suave style for Howell Mountain, but at the same time, there is plenty of early accessibility. The 2011 is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot." 2011 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94AG, 94W&S, 93JS, 90ST). Wine & Spirits: "Christian Moueix and his team at Dominus have experience with rainy vintages in Bordeaux. They also farm a site that is particularly well adapted to draining excess water. So they produced a remarkable 2011, a late vintage challenged by rain close to harvest. It’s proof that a challenge met can create something sublime—like this floral, red-raspberry-scented vintage of Dominus. It’s a tense chord of flavor incorporating green herb, tobacco, cassis and raspberry in a lasting harmony. The sophisticated structure suggests it will age with grace, while the gentleness of that structure will make it accessible along the way. A great bottle for lamb. " (10/2014)

2011 Dunn Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Sweet red berries, cinnamon, wild flowers, cedar and tobacco are all laced together in a supple, racy Cabernet that is already drinking well. The 2011 is quite delicate today, almost uncharacteristically so. Once again, the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was made entirely from Howell Mountain fruit. This prodigious blend has turned out brilliantly. Dense purple to the rim, with notes of blackberry, mocha, graphite and espresso bean, the wine has very sweet, integrated tannin, a whiff of distant oak, full-bodied opulence and lots of complexity. Nevertheless, it offers beautifully pure black cherry and currant fruit with a striking minerality cutting through the fruit notes. Medium to full-bodied and elegant, it will benefit from 5-6 years of cellaring, and should keep for 20-25 years." (12/2007) Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red. (08/96) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Tasted from magnum. This still seems on the way up. It's firm and tannic and may dry out, but the currant, cherry and mineral flavors are young ... Read More »

2004 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret Back In Stock!
2004 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from the multi-talented Robert Foley, this opaque purple-colored 2004 Claret displays the Midas touch exhibited by Foley for many years. Sweet aromas of creme de cassis, licorice, charcoal and spice are followed by a beautifully etched, full-bodied wine with sweet tannins, well-integrated acidity, and a hint of background oak. Long, lush and opulent, it can be enjoyed over the next decade. (RP)" (4/2014)92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Saturated medium ruby. Very dark aromas of blackberry, licorice, minerals, tar and molten chocolate. Wonde ...Read More »

2011 Goldeneye Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L)

If it looks like a duck, that's because Goldeneye is indeed part of the Duckhorn Vineyards family of wineriesk, including Migration and Decoy. Goldeneye is the Napa Valley winery's far-north outpost, in cool Anderson Valley where their 15-year experience in making cool-climate Pinot Noir was put to the test in 2011. With low yields and careful vinting, they have succeeded. The winery's tasting note: "Quintessential Anderson Valley aromas of savory herbs, pinesap and wild berries soar from the glass. On the palate, a plush, dense mouthfeel supports lush f... Read More »

2010 Anderson's Conn Valley "Eloge" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

93 points Antonio Galloni: "Grilled herbs, tobacco, menthol, licorice and plums all take shape in the 2010 Eloge. Rich, layered and expressive, the 2010 is resonant and deeply expressive throughout. Gently spiced notes appear on the finish, adding dimensions of complexity and nuance. Today the 2010 is a bit closed in on itself and a touch compact, while the aromatics aren't quite as precise as they could be. I was deeply impressed with the wines I tasted at Conn Valley this year. The wines are often terrific, but at the same time, they have also occasionally suffered from the pres ...Read More »

2002 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94ST, 91CG, 91W&S, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational 14,000-case cuvee that is one of the benchmarks for what Napa Valley is capable of achieving. Its dense purple color is followed by copious notes of smoky barbecue, creme de cassis, white chocolate, blackberries, charcoal and truffles. Full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, with sweet tannins in the finish, this 2002 has not yet hit full maturity. Give it another 2-4 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following two decades. I asked the winemaking team what the final blend was for the 2002 Private Reserve, and to the best of their recollection, the largest component was from Steinhauer Ranch (50%), followed by St. Helena Home Ranch (23%) and tiny percentages of Bancroft, Rancho del Oso, Chabot, Marston, and some Cabernet Franc from Howell Mountain. (RP)" (06/2012)

2007 Justin "Isosceles" Paso Robles Red Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Justin "Isosceles" Paso Robles Red Blend (90ST, 90WE, 89RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot) Inky ruby. Lively aromas of red and dark berry preserves, with subtle floral and oak spice notes adding complexity. Juicy, gently sweet cherry and blackberry flavors show very good depth, picking up mocha and anise qualities with air. Late-arriving tannins are quickly absorbed by the densely packed, sweet fruit. This is a youngster." (11/2010)
