2007 Joseph Swan "Trenton Estate" Russian River Valley Syrah

90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Opaque ruby. Black and blue fruits on the nose, complicated by notes of black cardamom and candied violet. Spicy and precise on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering sweet blackberry and boysenberry flavors lifted by zesty acidity. The smoky, sweet, clinging finish leaves a note of cracked pepper behind." (5/2012)90 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is a notable wine for its smooth, supple tannins and its intense flavors of black cherry jam, mocha, bacon, black pepper and sandalwood. 2007 Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The dark ruby-colored 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa exhibits abundant aromas of earthy, berry fruit intermixed with black currants, tobacco leaf and spice. Enjoy this medium-bodied, supple, seductive Cabernet over the next 7-10 years." (12/2010) Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby. Medicinal blackberry and licorice on the nose, plus a whiff of band-aid. Densely packed and sweet on entry, then juicy and tight in the mid-palate, with a slightly metallic medicinal quality to the dark berry and bitter chocolate flavors. The edgy tannins call for at least 12 to 18 months of patience. Thi ...Read More »

2007 Clendenen "Le Pip" Santa Maria Valley Nebbiolo

Made from Jim Clendenen's estate vineyards, the Au Bon Climat winemaker's Clendenen Family wines also get the most attention for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Nebbiolo, the noble grape of Barolo and Barbaresco, has had a very uneven record in California. But if there's any California Nebbiolo worth beginning the exploration with, it has to be one from the Central Coast, and this very renowned and talented winemaker.

2007 Calera "Ryan" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From one of the property’s coolest sites, the 2007 Pinot Noir Ryan Vineyard reveals nearly overwhelming notes of sassafras, root vegetables, plums, red currants, and raspberries. It is a spicy, earthy effort with an autumnal-like herbaceousness. Aged 17 months in French oak (30% new), it is a Pinot Noir for those who prefer that varietal’s spicy, stemmy, earthy side. Nevertheless, there is still plenty of fruit in this complex, singular cuvee." (08/10) 93 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is one of the most forward and accessible of Calera's new releases. Needs a year or two to come together." (5/2013) Wine Spectator: "A rustic stye that presents a dried berry, leathery, crushed rock and dried herb-anise profile. Slowly gains depth, maintaining a firm tannic backbone. Drink now through 2022. 2007 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

It is full but not heavy on the palate and already exhibits the wonderfully lush texture of fine Pinot Noir. Deep and flavorful, open and quite accessible, structured for aging and able to be enjoyed today, this is a wine to be remembered." Lively aromas of red and dark berry preserves, with subtle floral and oak spice notes adding complexity. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Robert Craig "Affinity" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Affinity exhibits more graphite, but in essence is similarly elegant, with supple tannins (although more velvety than in the 2006), very young, primary black and blue fruit notes, and superb concentration, texture, and length. This is an exceptionally promising wine that is still hiding behind a rather primary display of fruit. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and drink it over the next 15 or possibly 20 years. This is the best group of wines I have ever tasted from Robert Craig Winery. A bit youthfully medicinal but in a relaxed, supple way. Finishes with well-buffered tannins and a lingering minty nuance. Nicely balanced cabernet. ...Read More »

2007 Williams-Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, bright red. Pure aromas of spicy red berries, flowers and minerals are deepened by a gentle smoky quality. Suave and silky, offering sweet strawberry and raspberry flavors and showing no obvious tannins. A juicy, precise wine that finishes with impressive clarity and lingering sweetness. There's a lot of Hirsch fruit in here, Bob Cabral told me." 2007 Flowers "Camp Meeting Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

91 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Outstanding* An exceptionally pretty nose features notes of fresh cranberry and strawberry yet there is good breadth and depth to the fruit and this depth continues as the detailed and obviously mineral-infused flavors possess excellent balance and fine length. This is a genuinely lovely effort and despite the expressiveness of the nose, it's actually relatively understated in the mouth. While 45 minutes in a decanter will render this approachable now, the balance should enable it to age well." (10/2009) Wine Spectator: "Tight and edgy, with firm mineral, dusty berry, sag ...Read More »

94 points from Robert Parker: "The sensational 2007 Chardonnay Rancho Santa Rosa exhibits a light to medium gold color, notes of white peaches, quince, crushed rocks, honeysuckle, and marmalade, a sensational texture, and a full-bodied mouthfeel. 2007 Kistler "Cuvée Catherine-Occidental Station" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

95-97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The compelling 2007 Pinot Noir Cuvee Catherine from the Occidental Station Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast is made entirely from the Calera clone. Deep ruby/purple with crushed raspberries, violets, Chinese black tea, and chalky, almost wet stone-like notes, the wine is rich, full-bodied, multi-dimensional, with superb depth and length, and a remarkable finish." 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97JS, 97ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Harlan Estate reminds me of a hypothetical blend of the 2002 with a touch of the controversial 1997. Dense plum/purple-colored with sweet aromas of barbecue smoke, blueberries, blackberries, cassis, licorice, hot rocks and subtle oak, it is a splendidly opulent, pure wine with a skyscraper-like texture as well as stunningly deep fruit that expands gracefully across the palate. The finish lasts nearly a full minute. Because of its overwhelming richness and sweet tannins, this brilliant wine seems to be approachable now, but I suspect further nuances and complexity will emerge after 4-5 years in the bottle. This wine will still be going strong at age 25-30. Like the offerings from its sister estate, Bond, these Harlan Estate offerings are uncompromisingly brilliant examples of Napa viticulture and winemaking at its finest. Kudos to proprietor
