2011 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru (OWC)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru (OWC - (92-94BH), 92RP, (90-92ST)) in original wood. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is very reduced though there is good freshness and verve to the notably rich and generous medium-bodied flavors that display enough minerality to add lift to the taut and muscular finish that packs plenty of punch but not rusticity. This is markedly austere and exceptionally serious and I would also describe this as very old school. I would advise buying this only with the intention of cellaring it for the long-term." Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru (94RP, (90-92BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru (from young vines in Musigny) is a powerful, inward wine. There is lovely depth to the fruit, but the wine remains tightly coiled at this stage, even if occasional glimmers of richness emerge over time. Cloves, cinnamon and a host of other spiced notes add complexity on the finish. This is another superb, textured wine from de Vogue. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028. (AG)" (05/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Grenache Sur Echalas Vineyard is Rayas like in its kirsch, green herbs, rose petal, flowers and assorted spices. Full-bodied, beautifully concentrated, yet also graceful and light on its feet, this incredible effort flirts with perfection and should have 15-20 years of longevity. (JD)" (06/2014)

2007 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (96BH, 96ST, 96W&S, 95RP, 94WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ineffable, discreet aromas of powdered stone, lemon peel, tangerine and flowers are complicated by an almost metallic minerality. Wonderfully succulent and silky in the mouth, but with a firm stony edge that gives it a rather uncompromising quality. An ethereal essence of wet stone minerality, this powerful, concentrated, classically dry wine is also compellingly smooth on the reverberating aftertaste." (09/2009)

2008 DRC Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Duvault Blochet
Bid on this bottle of 2008 DRC Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Duvault Blochet (91AG, 90BH, 90WS). Antonio Galloni: "The 2008 Vosne-Romanee Cuvee Duvault-Blochet bursts from the glass with an explosion of aromas and flavors. The wine turns more subtle on the palate. Sweet, floral notes wrap around the sublime finish. The 2008 is a haunting wine graced with exquisite class and elegance. Unlike the rest of the Domaine's 2008s, it will drink beautifully pretty much right out the gate." (05/2011)

2000 Haut-Bergey, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this 10-bottle lot of 2000 Haut-Bergey, Pessac-Léognan (94RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I bought this wine for myself because I thought it was a sleeper of the vintage, and I couldn’t be happier. My score in two tastings was identical to what it was seven years ago. Chocolatey espresso notes jump from the glass of this dark ruby/purple-colored wine. Full-bodied, with a silky texture, loads of concentration and density, this is a beautiful wine that is both hedonistically and intellectually pleasing. The wine seems to have reached full maturity, where it should stay for another 10-15 years." (06/2010)

2006 Switchback Ridge "Peterson Family Vineyard" Petite Sirah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Switchback Ridge "Peterson Family Vineyard" Petite Sirah (92ST, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good saturated medium ruby. Aromas of crushed black fruits and rare steak. Densely packed, sweet and chewy, with terrific depth of flavor; the note of bloody rare steak carries through in the mouth. This outsized wine finishes with big, chewy, youthfully tough tannins that need aging. As young as this is, it's easier to taste today than the merlot as there's considerably more material here." Of the 2003 Mitolo "GAM" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The spectacular, dense ruby/purple-colored 2003 Shiraz G. A. M. (named after the Mitolo family’s three children) exhibits aromas of lead pencil shavings, blackberries, blueberries, cassis, licorice, new oak, and scorched earth. This complex 2003 comes across as a hypothetical blend of a great La Mission-Haut-Brion from Bordeaux and a Rhone Valley Hermitage such as Chapoutier's Pavillon. Everything is seamlessly integrated into this tour de force in winemaking. (RP)" (10/2004)

2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 James Berry Vineyard (52% Grenache, 31% Mourvedre, and 17% Syrah) saw some of its Grenache aged in the concrete eggs that are now catching on among some of the top producers on California’s Central Coast. With strong minerality from the limestone soil, this exuberant, fleshy, full-bodied wine is already drinking well. (I believe it was actually bottled just a day or two before my visit, which makes its performance that much more remarkable.) Dense purple, with sweet notes of barbecue smoke and meats as well as roasted herbs, extravagant black cherry, black currant, and blackberry fruit are all present in this wine, but there is plenty of underlying structure that comes from both the minerality and the Mourvedre component. Pure, full-bodied, but again, impressively elegant and nuanced, this is a tour de force and another prodigious example of this

2004 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2004 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Also offering off-the-charts richness, with a flamboyant, hedonistic profile, the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc) possesses spice-laced aromas and flavors of cassis, smoke tobacco, roasted meats, dried licorice and wild herbs that are to die for. Full-bodied, incredibly layered, rich and textured it has no hard edges, masses of tannin and a finish that won’t quit. I’ve been lucky enough to taste this cuvee three times (rated 96 and 97) in the past handful of weeks and this was the best showing yet. From a cool vintage, it is still youthful and vibrant, and will continue to shine for another 15+ years. Drink now-2028. (JD)" (06/2013)

2006 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is big, dark and juicy. There is an element of wildness that runs through the wine. Graphite, licorice, tar and smoke are just some of the nuances that add complexity. The 2006 boasts superb purity from start to finish. Elements of fleshiness give the impression the 2006 might drink well relatively early, until the massive tannins set in. Floral notes add freshness on the finish. This is another fabulous wine from Randy Dunn. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2036. (AG)" (12/2011)

Wine Enthusiast: "Named after the famed vineyard’s south-facing slopes, this vintage is expertly crafted, with aromas of ripe red cherry, sandalwood, black pepper, graphite, purple flowers and damp pine needles. It’s complex, with dark red fruit and tickling cardamom spice set against fine-grained tannins. Quite precise and tight now, the violet and rose petal elements will expand…" (04/2015)

This full-bodied, opulent 1991 reveals a flawless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol. Black cherry, blackberry, minerals and a wild whiff of meaty reduction on the nose. Juicy, intense and concentrated, with good density and strength for village wine. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay East Side (1,000 cases produced) comes from a vineyard owned by Ulises Valdez and planted with the Montrachet clone. It is the rockiest site in the Aubert portfolio. Amazingly, it sees 100% new oak, but you would never know that from smelling or tasting the wine. Alvaro Palacios established his namesake winery in 1989. The flagship L’Ermita made its debut in 1993. Finca Dofi and L’Ermita vineyards are farmed biodynamically. Layers of dark red stone fruit open up on the palate, followed by sweet spices, savory herbs and mint. Beautifully perfumed and expressive throughout, the 2007 is a jewel of a wine. It boasts gorgeous textural depth and richness to match its highly expressive, compelling aromatics. The wine has begun to soften a touch. Though not at all forbidding at this stage, the 2001 Monprivato remains an infant with at least two more decades of fine drinking ahead. This is a gorgeous effort from Mauro Mascarello. The nose is earthy but fresh with excellent density and volume, culminating in an explosively powerful finish. Superthick, but unbelievably powerful, with loads of spice, clove, honey and flowers. Full-bodied and viscous. Very sweet. The palate goes on and on. I'm speechless. We may never taste a wine like this again. " (09/2004)

2011 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru "Les Rugiens-Bas" (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2011 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru "Les Rugiens-Bas" (1.5L) ((92-94BH), 92ST, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Sweet Spot Outstanding* This is also quite restrained with ultra-pure aromas of wet stone, floral hints, sandalwood and very fresh red berry fruit scents. There is a focused power to the robust yet refined medium-bodied flavors that possess plenty of supporting sap that helps to buffer the otherwise firm and well-integrated tannic spine on the explosively long, balanced and moderately austere finish. This beauty will also require ample patience." (04/2013)

Pure, highly perfumed aromas of black cherry, currant, plum, minerals, tobacco, leather and fresh herbs. Very ripe, suave and spicy; at once subtle and gripping. Lovely Cabernet character dominating today. Very firm, long finish is youthful but not hard-edged. Showing extremely well." (08/2002)

2005 Coudoulet de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Coudoulet de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Beaucastel Coudoulet Cotes du Rhone is another outstanding example of this Cotes du Rhone made essentially across the border from Chateauneuf du Pape. Notes of tapenade, licorice, smoked herbs, and meat juices interwoven with black cherry and darker fruits are followed by an expansive, broadly flavored, full-bodied wine with no hard edges, gorgeous fruit purity, and a long, spicy, heady finish. This is almost the bottled essence of Provence. Drink it over the next decade or more. (RP)" (08/2008)

A classic Charmes of grace and excellent persistence." (01/2013)

Bid on this magnum of 2009 Domaine Ponsot Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Cuvée des Alouettes" (1.5L) ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Sweet Spot Outstanding* A very pretty nose of discreet spice notes, red currants and damp earth nuances that continue onto the rich, powerful and impressively concentrated medium-bodied flavors blessed with an abundance of dry extract that buffers the notably firm, mineral-driven and wonderfully complex finish that seems to go on and on. This is terrific and one of the best vintages that I have ever seen for this wine." (01/2011)

1999 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Les Taillepieds" (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1999 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Les Taillepieds" (1.5L) (93ST, 91BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Deep, ripe aromas of raspberry, spices and minerals. Wonderfully chewy and voluminous for a wine from this domain; the 12.9% alcohol is barely average in the context of Burgundy '99, but high for a de Montille wine. Nearly confectionery sweetness leavened by superb vinosity. Finishes with thoroughly sweet, suave tannins and a late burst of cherry flavor. A great Cote de Beaune wine, bottled in August of 2001. Like the Mitans and Rugiens, this aged on its lees for 22 months without being racked. (ST)" (03/2002)

1995 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (93RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Christian Moueix and his talented winemaking team continue to rewrite the definition of a Napa Valley reference point wine. The 1995 Dominus (6,000 cases produced from a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, and 4% Merlot) is a ripe, plummy, supple, expansively-flavored wine with copious quantities of black currant fruit. Full-bodied and low in acidity, it possesses exceptional concentration and purity. Qualitatively, it is built along the lines of the 1992 and 1990. While it is not as powerful or intense as the 1996 or 1994, the 1995 is a large-scaled, rich, concentrated wine ... (RP)" (12/1997)

2001 Von Strasser "Reserve" Diamond Mountain District Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2001 Von Strasser "Reserve" Diamond Mountain District Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (96CG, 95W&S, 93WE, 92WS, 91ST). Connoisseurs Guide: "This massive, astonishingly rich and concentrated wine is hands-down the biggest and boldest wine on the Von Strasser roster, yet for all of its show-stopping size and unabashed ripeness, it is kept comfortably on course by a deep core of fruit. Brimming with currants, cherries, chocolate and unstinting oak, it shows flashes of walnuts and rich, loamy soil. Like all of its siblings, it carries plenty of tannin and is one for the cellar, but its powerful and persistent fruit ensures it a very bright future. Let it sit quietly until its tenth birthday arrives, and expect it to be in very fine shape after a couple of decades have passed." (12/2004)
