2008 Domaine Armand Rousseau Ruchottes Chambertin Grand Cru "Clos des Ruchottes"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Armand Rousseau Ruchottes Chambertin Grand Cru "Clos des Ruchottes" ((92-93RP), 92BH, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Dramatically site-typical in its pungent scents of peat, Latakia tobacco, smoked meats, and licorice, the Rousseau 2008 Ruchottes-Chambertin Clos des Ruchottes offers a rich yet vibrant amalgam of dark cherry, licorice, and tobacco on smoothly polished yet palpably extract-rich palate. Peat, chalk and bittersweet herbal and cherry pit notes help extend an energetically gripping finish. I would feel confident in planning to age this for 12-15 years. " (06/2010)

2010 Domaine Dujac Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Dujac Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((95-97AG), 96CG). Antonio Galloni: "The 2010 Bonnes-Mares boasts gorgeous energy and precision in its aromatics. Sweet red cherries, flowers, mint and spices are some of the nuances that flow from this elegant, refined Bonnes-Mares. The theme of finesse is woven throughout this sleek, engaging beauty, while some of the wilder notes that are at times present in the wine seem tamed, at least today. " (01/2012)

2001 Domaine de la Mordorée "Cuvée de la Reine des Bois" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 9-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine de la Mordorée "Cuvée de la Reine des Bois" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 94ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " More youthful and backwards, the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de La Reine des Bois has been incredibly consistent for me and always comes in near the top of the scale. Black raspberry, blackberry, wood smoke, licorice, crushed rock-like minerality and smoked beef are just some of the nuances here, and it hits the palate with serious levels of fruit, thrilling structure and blockbuster length. It still needs another handful of years to hit full maturity, but its off-the-hook good today (assuming you’re not completely against tannin). (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine Faiveley Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru ((91-94BH), (90-93ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is even more elegant than the Mazis with its explosive, very dense red and black cherry fruit and exquisitely elegant, remarkably complex and powerful, mineral-infused flavors and a finish that seems to go on forever. This is not a huge wine but one that is impressively harmonious as everything is in perfect balance. A precise and driving finish adds an exclamation point to what is already a very classy wine." Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Taupenot-Merme Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru (94WS, 93BH). Wine Spectator: "A beautiful display of cherry, black currant and especially mineral, with some sage and wild herb notes. It's all backed by firm tannins and a lively acidity. Not as lush and charming as some from this terroir, yet commands your attention. Best from 2015 through 2035." (05/2008)

2001 E. Guigal "Ex Voto" Ermitage
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 E. Guigal "Ex Voto" Ermitage ((94-96RP), (94-96ST), 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The debut release of the Hermitage Ex-Voto, the spectacular 2001 spent 42 months in new French oak. Produced from four vineyard sites, l’Hermite, Les Murets, Les Greffieux, and Les Bessards, it boasts an amazingly thick purple color as well as a rich, sumptuous bouquet of smoke, licorice, creme de cassis, and earth. Full-bodied and rich, with good acidity and magnificent concentration, this is a tour de force in red Hermitage. Given its high tannin and crisp acidity, it will require patience. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2040." (12/2004)

2004 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos"
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (96RP, 95BH, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The star of this extraordinary line-up is Domaine William Fevre’s show-stopping 2004 Chablis Les Clos (domaine). Its creamed stone aromatics are followed by a bold, muscular, powerful character. Medium to full-bodied and ample, it explodes on the palate, unleashing waves of iodine-laced minerals, white fruits, and liquefied rocks. This masculine counterpart to the Les Preuses is suave, seamless, and immensely concentrated. Projected maturity: 2008-2017. Though it is difficult to fathom, Fevre’s 2005 Chablis Les Clos, tasted at an unbelievably young age, was even bigger, denser, and more powerful! Bravo!" (06/2006)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2000 Domaine Michel Magnien Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru ((90-93BH), 90RP, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Some reductive notes but otherwise this offers medium weight flavors of outstanding complexity and really impressive balance and purity. This appears to offer excellent potential to improve and is more classic in style than any of the above wines with the exception of the Cazetiers. There is real flavor intensity, fine detail and good power yet no lack of elegance. A terrific 2000." (01/2002)

2009 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard comes across as dark, plush and inviting, but with greater inner focus and minerality than some of the other wines here. Graphite, smoke, tar and licorice are some of the notes that wrap around the intense, juicy finish. I especially admire the way the RBS grows in the glass as it turns more explosive over time, yet never loses its more refined shades of expression. The RBS is 100% clone 337 from the B1 and B2 blocks. According to winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, it is the addition of fruit from B2 (new this year) that gives the 2009 much of its personality. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024...The Schrader Cabernets are big, bold wines that nevertheless show remarkable detail and transparency to site, as is evidenced by the five separate bottlings from Andy Beckstoffer’s To Kalon vineyard i

2012 Rivers-Marie "Occidental Ridge Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Rivers-Marie "Occidental Ridge Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95AG). Antonio Galloni: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard is arguably the most dense and compact of these Pinots. Here, it is the wine's structure that stands out most. Whereas most of the 2012 Rivers-Marie Pinots are drinking well right now, the Occidental Ridge is a wine that needs to be cellared for at least another year or two. Firm tannins support a salivating finish laced with dark red and blue tones fruit, crushed rocks and chalk. A dollop of whole clusters (10%) adds nuance. Readers who can find the Occidental Ridge should not hesitate, it is fabulous. " (02/2014)

2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. Enjoy it over the coming two decades or more. Drink now-2033. (JD)" (06/2013)

Wine Spectator: "Full-blown, mature Chardonnay at its peak, layered and complex, unfolding with anise, smoky oak, roasted fig, apricot and honeysuckle flavors. What makes this sing is the richness and proportionality of the flavors. Lingers and gains on the finish." (07/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Just bottled five weeks ago, the 2012 Terry Hoage Vineyard (330 cases) is a thrilling blend of 51% Syrah, 31% Grenache and 18 % Mourvedre. It has an up front approachable and sexy feel in its cherry blossom and black raspberry fruit, crushed flowers and spice aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, concentrated and with sweet tannin, it’s the most ready-to-go in the lineup, yet will still have 10-12 years of longevity. (JD)" (08/2014)

2013 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 97AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Named after Mark Aubert’s daughter, the 2013 Chardonnay Lauren Estate (1,000 cases produced) is made from Old Wente clones as well as the Mt. Eden clone planted in Goldridge soils. This stony, mineral-laced, crisp yet full-bodied effort comes across as a California version of a Coche-Dury Corton-Charlemagne. Citrus oil, tangerine skin, orange blossom, liquified rock, white flower and quince notes along with great fruit, a full-bodied, stunning texture, and a long finish with no noticeable oak suggest this prodigious Chardonnay will drink well for 10+ years." 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 95WS, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Les Pavots, a Bordeaux varietal blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, is brilliant. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by gorgeously complex aromas of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries, and cassis. Full-bodied with a superb texture, a subtle note of oak, and fabulous concentration, it is more reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux than one expects with this much Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. A thirty-year wine, its impeccable balance and the sweetness of its tannins make it accessible already. (RP)" (02/2010)

Both are brilliant wines and they represent the finest back-to-back vintages for Dominus since 2001 and 2002 or 1990 and 1991. Both the 2007 and 2008 Dominus should drink well for 25-30 years. 2011 Hirsch "San Andreas Fault" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Hirsch "San Andreas Fault" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94W&S, 92AG, 90BH, 90ST). Wine & Spirits: "This is delicious and utterly transparent coastal juice, electric in its tones of red plum and blood orange. A cedar bark tang gives it gravitas—as if recalling the eons of redwood mulch that built the soil on the uplifted marine sedimentary ridges of the Sonoma Coast. San Andreas—referencing the fault responsible for that uplift—draws on both older vines planted in the early 1990s and newer blocks planted in 2002, painting a picture of the entire Hirsch estate in a given vintage. While some Sonoma vineyards were challenged by rain prior to the 2011 harvest, winemaker Ross Cobb saw Hirsch’s sunny ridges ripen Pinot Noir before the October storms arrived. This feels beautifully formed; its taut delicacy would be irresistible with grilled sea bass. " (08/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2004 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96RP, 95WE, 94CG, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The two flagship wines of this brilliant estate, which straddles the Sonoma and Napa county lines at the top of Spring Mountain, include the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot). Sixty-eight percent of the fruit comes from Sonoma and 32% from Napa. It exhibits classic notes of creme de cassis, licorice, cedarwood, incense and a hint of toasty oak in the background. Full-bodied, opulent, profound deep, rich and full with velvety edges, the tannin can be detected, but it is wonderfully integrated in this mountain-styled Cabernet. It continues Pride’s impressive track record with these special cuvees. The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve can be drunk young or cellared for two decades or more. More nuances and complexity will undoubtedly emerge over the next 4-5 years. (RP)" (04/2014)

While opulent, underneath the full-bodied richness of fruit and depth is a structured wine. As it sits in the glass, an espresso roast character (no doubt from new oak) also emerges. 2003 Pax "Pangea" North Coast Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2003 Pax "Pangea" North Coast Syrah (1.5L) (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged in 500-liter pungeons for 36 months, there are only 676 magnums of the 2003 Syrah Pangea. Representing an homage to Marcel Guigal’s single vineyard Cote Roties (which are aged 42 months in new oak), 100% whole clusters were used to create this profound Syrah. It boasts an opaque blue/purple color as well as a bouquet of ink, graphite, blackberries, cassis, flowers, and licorice. Dense and full-bodied with great precision and definition, this stunning wine demonstrates what innovative winemaking and great fruit can achieve. It should drink well for a minimum of 10-15 years. 2005 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (92W&S). Wine & Spirits: "A classic Alexander Valley Cabernet, this is dark and cedary, and as smooth as velvet. The tannins last, built on black cherry-skin flavor and earthy, root-vegetable notes. With time, that black cherry flavor should become more prominent, balancing the wine's earthy complexities. Drink this over the next several years with anything meaty, from duck and game birds to steak." (12/2010)

2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A profound wine from a superb Napa vintage for Bordeaux varietals, the 2007’s nose may cause one to overdose on blue, black and red berry fruit. The extraordinary intensity, purity and depth in this rich, flamboyant, exuberant wine are mindboggling. This bigger-than-life Cabernet Sauvignon appears set for 20-30 years of aging. It can be drunk now, but because of its sweet, velvety tannins, it will still be offering sensational drinking in 2040. (RP)"

2009 Twomey Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2009 Twomey Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright red. Blueberry, blackberry, licorice, minerals and menthol on the nose, with a peppery, herbal coolness. Then big, ripe and dense, with a sappy, chewy quality to the soil-driven flavors of dark cherry, spices and underbrush. Nicely vibrant, dry, persistent wine with a peppery spice element lifting the finish. I'd give this a year or two in the cellar before pulling the cork." (06/2011)

2009 Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Seavey’s 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate explodes from the glass with deep, resonant fruit. Incense, smoke, tobacco and melted road tar flow effortlessly from this big, full-bodied wine. There is no shortage of fruit or tannin in this large-scaled, firm Cabernet Sauvignon. Readers will need to be patient, but there is little denying the 2009 is a jewel of a wine. The 2009 is shaping up to be another magnificent wine from Seavey and oenologist Philippe Melka. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. (AG)" (12/2012)

2005 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (97RP, (94-96WE), 95JS, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Ducru Beaucaillou is a 10,000-case blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot (they used to produce 18,000-20,000 cases). It is an exceptionally powerful wine with a dense purple color, superb intensity, and a beautiful, sweet nose of spring flowers, raspberries, blueberries, graphite, and creme de cassis. Full-bodied with fabulous concentration, exceptionally high tannin, good acidity, and massive layers of richness that build incrementally on the palate, this monumental effort is more structured than their outstanding 2003. It may be the finest wine produced at this estate since the 1982 and 1961 Ducrus. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2050." (04/2008)
