2012 Martinelli "Blue Slide Ridge" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Martinelli "Blue Slide Ridge" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir (95RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the estate’s grand cru vineyard, the 2012 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge comes from a site planted in 1995 with Dijon clones 667, 777, 115, Pommard and Clone X which was sourced from Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer. It’s a big wine with 15.2% natural alcohol. Stunning aromas of forest floor, mulberries, blueberries and blackcurrants soar from the glass of this deep ruby/purple-tinged Pinot Noir. Full-bodied and voluptuous, this stunner should drink well for 10-15 years. Sadly, only 234 cases were produced. (RP)" (12/2014)

2009 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 95WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Cayuse’s 2009 Syrah Bionic Frog originates in the Coccinelle Vineyard, planted in 1998, which features iron-rich clay with significant fine earth run-off from the nearby Blue Mountains, and, paradoxically, dries out quickest. In more ways than one, it’s the opposite of En Chamberlin. 'This is, 90% of the time, the Syrah that we pick first,' notes Baron, 'which was September 24 in 2009.' Vinification was in concrete (though future vintages will ferment in recently-arrived wooden uprights), and the mix of barrels - all Dominique Laurent’s self-styled 'magic barriques' (which until 2011 was the favored medium for this bottling) - was around 20-30% new. Baron and Bourcier explain how they like what these barrels have done for the Bionic Frog, but, adds Baron: 'My style of wine should not be based on a cooper, and I don’t want to be dependent on one man’s barrel

1985 Joseph Phelps "Eisele" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Joseph Phelps "Eisele" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The backward 1985 Eisele Vineyard is marvelously concentrated, but extremely tannic and at least 5-10 years away from full maturity. Impressively endowed, well-focused, dense, powerful, thick, and tannic, this wine leaves little doubt that the extract, ripeness, and quantity of fruit are more than sufficient to balance out the wine's tannic ferocity. This is a huge, massive, stunningly proportioned Cabernet Sauvignon that should hit its stride by the turn of the century and last for two decades. (RP)" (04/1995)

2009 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Proprietary Blend The Maiden wraps around the palate with dark cherries, plums, cinnamon, cloves and new leather. This is a surprisingly muscular style for the year, with quite a bit less of the early appeal than is found in many other wines. The aromas and flavors remain dark, powerful and brooding from start to finish. Flowers, cinnamon and mint add further complexity on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. "

2009 Bodegas Alto Moncayo Garnacha Campo de Borja
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Bodegas Alto Moncayo Garnacha Campo de Borja (100RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I tend to drink Alto Moncayo during its first 5-6 years of life. Although I was sure they had aging potential, I did not realize just how much longevity these wines possess. They are generally full-bodied, powerful (with at least 15.5% natural alcohol), concentrated, rich wines made from very old vines and tiny yields. If you are not into flavor concentration or care about artisanal wines from great terroirs that have been ignored for centuries, this may not be the wine for you. Not one of these ten vintages was close to full maturity. I gave perfect scores to the prodigious 2007 and 2009, two of the greatest expressions of old vine Grenache from the province of Aragon that anyone could have desire. The both possess plenty of black raspberry, blackberry, kirsch and licorice characteristics as well as an undeniable minerality and precision that are remarkable give

2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " I had always believed the 2007 Pinot Noir was the finest Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer had produced at their Estate Vineyard, but after doing this vertical and seeing the performances of the 1998, 2002 and 2004, that belief rings somewhat hollow. The still young, incredible 2007 has all the potential needed to achieve a three-digit rating in a few years. A dense plum/purple color is followed by notes of subtle smoke, barbecue spice, blueberries, red and black currants, flowers, and a smoky meat-like character that I first compared to the aroma of Peking duck. There is something exotic about this full-bodied, dense 2007. Young and vibrant, it should hit its peak in 5-6 years, and last until 2030-2035. This world-class, prodigious Pinot Noir is probably better than 90% of the red Burgundies being produced. 98+ (RP)" (06/2014)

2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection exhibits an opaque purple color, slightly more toasty oak in the aromatics, and explosive richness on the attack, mid-palate and length. The nose is slightly more restrained than in the regular bottling, but there is no doubting the Special Selection is a cut or two above the Napa bottling when it hits the palate. Extraordinary purity of fruit, creme de cassis, licorice and incense all emerge from this full-bodied, iconic classic. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 25+ years. " (10/2013)

Rich, layered and impressive, it should drink well for 15-20 years. (RP)" (10/2013)

Of the 2005 Noon "Reserve" Shiraz Langhorne Creek South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2005 Shiraz Reserve was sourced from a 45-year-old vineyard and aged for 18 months in American and French oak of various sizes. A saturated purple color, it presents an array of otherworldly scents including smoke, mineral, meat, game, bacon, and blueberry. Thick, rich, and voluptuous, this mouth-filling, full-bodied Shiraz is about as hedonistic as it gets. Although the wine is seamless, there is some tannin lurking under all the fruit which will permit 8-10 years of cellaring for those able to delay gratification. The finish is amazingly long and pure, seeming to never end. As usual, the Noon wines are benchmarks against which all others must be compared. (JM)" (10

Of the 2003 Mitolo "GAM" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The spectacular, dense ruby/purple-colored 2003 Shiraz G. A. M. (named after the Mitolo family’s three children) exhibits aromas of lead pencil shavings, blackberries, blueberries, cassis, licorice, new oak, and scorched earth. This complex 2003 comes across as a hypothetical blend of a great La Mission-Haut-Brion from Bordeaux and a Rhone Valley Hermitage such as Chapoutier's Pavillon. Of the 2010 Linne Calodo "Problem Child" Paso Robles Red Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "I very much like the way the 2010 Problem Child achieves tons of richness, but no sense of heaviness at all. Juicy dark cherries, hard candy, flowers, mint and sweet spices are all woven together in a fabric of notable class. Floral notes reappear on a sweet, perfumed finish buffered by lively acidity. Once again, there is plenty of depth, but little in the way of excess weight. This is a striking effort from Matt Trevisan. 2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 95AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay East Side (1,000 cases produced) comes from a vineyard owned by Ulises Valdez and planted with the Montrachet clone. It is the rockiest site in the Aubert portfolio. Amazingly, it sees 100% new oak, but you would never know that from smelling or tasting the wine. Copious aromas of wet rocks, almond paste, honeysuckle, pineapple and white peach are followed by a full-bodied, stunningly rich yet crisp, vibrant, zesty Chardonnay that should drink well for a minimum of 10 years. 2011 Black Kite "Stony Terrace" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Black Kite "Stony Terrace" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Notable ripe purple and blue fruit aromas display lovely spice and tea nuances. There is excellent size, weight and power to the concentrated medium weight plus flavors that also possess a very suave and rounded mouth feel before culminating in a dusty and lingering finish. This is a big and muscular wine that won't win any awards for refinement but it certainly makes a statement. Note that those who enjoy power pinot will find this to their taste as it offers plenty of character but without the elevated alcohols levels that many examples of the genre often display."

Of the 2005 Sine Qua Non Atlantis FE 203-3e Roussanne Vin de Paille,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2005 Atlantis Fe 203-3e Roussanne Vin de Paille is a 100% Roussanne cuvee possessing 352 grams of residual sugar per liter. While it is a stunning effort, when tasted next to the two Mr. K. whites, it comes in slightly below those two out-of-this-world offerings. Incredible aromas of honeysuckle and marmalade are classic late-harvest Roussanne, and the wine’s sweet style is beautifully balanced by terrific acidity (12.5 grams of acid per liter). " (06/2008)

Juicy and expansive, with impressive clarity and power to its dark berry and floral pastille flavors. Finishes with excellent floral lift and striking persistence. 2011 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95AG, 93ST). Antonio Galloni: "The 2011 Ovid is super-silky, finessed and beautiful. There is a bit less resonance and depth relative to most vintages, but the 2011 makes up for that with its aromatic complexity, pure expressiveness and long, resonant finish. With time in the glass, the spiced and floral notes become more apparent. The delicate, perfumed finish rounds things out beautifully. The 2011 is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot, which is more Cabernet Sauvignon and less Franc than is usually the case. This is another striking wine from Ovid. " (11/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, (94-97ST), 94JS, 94W&S, 93CG, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Like many 2005s (I’ll be doing a retrospective of this vintage in several months and look forward to it), this was a vintage that seemed to start off relatively uneventfully and was rather slow to reveal its true merit early in life. Like a thoroughbred race horse, it just seemed to get stronger and stronger in barrel, and now that the wines have been in bottle, they continue to strut their stuff. Of course, 2004 got much more publicity because of the heat, and after 2001 and 2002, there weren’t a lot of superlatives left to give, but 2005 has turned out to be a great vintage and the 2005 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is certainly one of the superstars of the vintage." Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Paul Lato "The Prospect - Sierra Madre Vineyard" Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir (95RP, 92ST, 91AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Prospect Sierra Madre Vineyard, which comes from 15-year-old vines, was fully destemmed and aged on lees for a year before being moved to 50% new French oak for 15 months. Brilliantly styled, with bright black cherry, blueberry, hints of leather, forest floor and edgy minerality, it is totally thrilling on the palate and has medium-bodied richness, great mid-palate depth and a seamless, pure texture. This prodigious, deep ruby/purple-colored Pinot possesses fabulous concentration as well as a layered, multidimensional palate, wonderful fruit, sweet tannin, and good acidity. No longer a true second wine, Altagracia now also includes a small amount of purchased fruit and is being crafted to stand on its own. The 2010 achieves that, and so much more. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged in 100% new French oak for 17 months and in bottle for 14 months prior to release, the 2004 Opus One is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. It boasts a dense ruby/purple color along with a sweet bouquet of lead pencil shavings, black currants and a hint of toasty oak. More evolved than usual, this full-bodied, opulent 2004 is part of the new wave of Opus Ones made under the administration of Philippe Dhalluin, the administrator of Mouton Rothschild, who has begun to exploit this estate’s enormous potential. This beauty can be drunk now or cellared for another 20 years. (RP)" (04/2014)

2005 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 95RP, 94ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Levy and McClellan's 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, which spent 26 months in new oak (mostly Taransaud), is developing at an incredibly slow rate. Its opaque ruby/purple color is accompanied by beautiful aromas of roasted coffee, melted chocolate, creme de cassis, burning embers, camphor, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, the wine combines considerable substance, power, and extract with a sense of harmony as well as elegance. Black currant, blackberry, and gamy, meaty notes are also present in this full-bodied effort with an incredibly long finish. The wine is just beginning to shed some tannin and become accessible. It will benefit from another 4-5 years of bottle age, and will easily last for three decades or more. " (12/2008)

2004 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Named after the famed luxury car, Maybach has none other than Thomas Brown as its winemaker, who produced this debut vintage of 340 cases from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a single-parcel on the Silverado Trail in the Oakville sector. This is a deadly serious wine, and when compared to the price of a Maybach car, a great value. A beautifully sculptured style of wine with deep purple color, with a sweet nose of creme de cassis, pain grille, spice box, and loamy soil notes, the wine has fabulous intensity, great purity (as one might expect given the winemaker), sweet silky tannins, and a terrific finish of close to 50 seconds. This is a stunning opening salvo from the Maybach family, and a wine that should age easily for 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2007)

2010 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon jumps from the glass with an exotic, beguiling melange of violets, cassis, spices and menthol. Layers of fruit supported by vivid, beautifully articulated tannins cover every inch of the palate. Rich and powerful, the 2010 never abandons its classic sense of structure. Today, the 2010 is a bit compact, but time should prove to be very beneficial in releasing the wine’s true potential. There is absolutely nothing out of place in this majestic Cabernet Sauvignon. The tannins are virtually imperceptible, as is the new oak. The long growing season produced a wine that is among the finest of the vintage. This is an unforgettable wine from Ric Forman. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035. (AG)" (12/2012)

2004 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Proprietary Red (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2004 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Proprietary Red (1.5L) (98RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, the saturated purple-colored 2004 Proprietary Red Wine is a wonderful monster in the making. It boasts a dense purple color as well as notes of beef blood, creme de cassis, licorice, incense and spring flowers. It looks more like a 2-year-old wine than one that has seen its tenth birthday. Mouth-coating, unctuously textured, corpulent but well-delineated, this is a spectacular Proprietary Red that is even greater than I remember it in its youth. Bravo to Jayson Pahlmeyer (I believe his winemaker at the time was Erin Green) for this dynamic duo of 2004s." (04/2014)

1996 Louis Jadot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Louis Jadot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-94RP), 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This bright, medium-to-dark ruby/purple-colored wine is extraordinary. Intense aromas of cassis, blackberries, and fresh herbs all covered in luscious milk chocolate give way to this wine's full-bodied, rich, and dense personality. Expressive layers of sweet dark fruits, earth, spices, as well as roasted and grilled herbs can be found in this complex, structured, and broad wine. Its formidably long and expansive finish also possesses copious yet supple tannins. Wow! Readers who have never had a glorious Chapelle are well-advised to scour their favorite wine shops for this gem. (PR)" (08/1998)

2001 Whitehall Lane "Leonardini" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Whitehall Lane "Leonardini" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More of a long distance runner is the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Leonardini Vineyard. This wine still shows plenty of oak and notes of new saddle leather intermixed with graphite and black currants in a structured, full-bodied, youthful, almost infantile stage of development. I can’t imagine this wine has moved much from its post-bottling days. It still needs another 5-6 years of cellaring, and should keep for at least 20+ years. (RP)" (06/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2005 Grand-Puy-Lacoste exhibits classic Pauillac aromas and flavors of creme de cassis along with stony/floral notes. Proprietor Xavier Borie has created a wine that should rival the brilliant 1982, 1990, 1996, and 2000. Full-bodied with sweet tannin and superb length (a 40+ second finish), the purity of this beauty’s black currant fruit is something to behold. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2030. (RP)" (04/2008)

1975 Nenin, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 1975 Nenin, Pomerol. The 1975s were excellent in Pomerol, and although this wine is not professionally reviewed, the 1975 Pomerol vintage is rated 94 points and still "ready to drink" by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. James Suckling gave this wine 90 points non-blind: "Aromas of black truffles, blackberries and plums with just a hint of flowers. Full and velvety with a delicious finish. 2008 Montrose, St-Estèphe (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2008 Montrose, St-Estèphe (1.5L) (95RP, 94JS, 94WE, 91WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the superstars of the vintage, this classic Montrose is not as showy or opulent as the 2010, 2009 or 2003, but it offers a dense purple color followed by gorgeously sweet black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with loamy, earthy, forest floor notes, a floral component and a long, full-bodied finish. The 2008 was fashioned from yields of 44 hectoliters per hectare which is slightly less than the 2010's 45 hectoliters per hectare. Forget it for 5-8 years and drink it over the following 20+. Caresses your palate. Very fruit-driven, but lots of tannin structure as well. Sneaks up on you with the power. Was a bodybuilder, but now a long distance runner. Love it. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Cobb "Rice Spivak Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93RP, 93ST, 90BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir Rice-Spivak Vineyard emerges from the glass with dark red cherries, flowers, mint, licorice and minerals. This is a tightly wound, more focused Pinot than the Emmaline Ann. Firm yet well-integrated tannins and bright acidity give the wine its focus and drive. Ross Cobb used 20-25% whole clusters here. This is a very, very beautiful wine. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019. (AG) " (02/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 1989 Angélus, St-Emilion (96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great Angelus and one of the two or three best vintages made under the talented young Hubert de Bouard, this wine still has a youthful, saturated ruby/purple color and a sweet nose of melted licorice intermixed with creme de cassis, tapenade, cedar, spice box, and vanilla. Very full-bodied, opulent, and rich, it is one of the 1989s that justifies the lofty reputation of this vintage. 1999 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Madrona Ranch (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Merlot) exhibits a saturated purple color in addition to a gorgeous bouquet of espresso beans intermixed with licorice, incense, blueberries and blackberries. There is more tannin in the unusually austere finish, but the wine is remarkably complex, and should be exceptionally long-lived. There are 500 cases of this beauty, which should be at its finest between 2006-2025." (08/2002)

2002 Revana Family Vineyard St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Revana Family Vineyard St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (95CG, 92WS, 91RP). Connoisseurs Guide: "Here is a deep and wonderfully concentrated young Cabernet that is long on showy oak but is directed first and foremost by its very deep and confident curranty fruit. It is full and fleshy in feel with carefully integrated tannins lending structure without undue toughness, and both its balance and real sense of fruity reserve make a strong and compelling case for five to ten years of steady improvement. Some may find its reliance on ripeness a bit more than they like, but if you are a seeker of depth and precise character, then this beauty is going to taste as good as it can get in the variety." A mindblowing effort, it offers up notes of mocha, forest floor, blueberries, blackcurrants, asphalt and licorice. Full-bodied and opulent, this sensational 2012 is one of the vintage’s superstars. Bid on this magnum of 2007 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Vieux Telegraphe may be the greatest wine made at this property since the 2005 and 1998. Dense ruby/purple-tinged with an exquisite nose of salty sea breezes, licorice, ground pepper, jammy black cherries, black currants, figs, and plums, this is a full-bodied, rich, Provencal-styled offering with lots of sweet, ripe tannin. It is surprisingly accessible for a Vieux Telegraphe (this wine normally shuts down several years after bottling), but it should have great longevity (25+ years) given its power, full-bodied mouthfeel, and enormous length and richness. This is a brilliant effort from brothers Frederic and Daniel Brunier. (RP)" (10/2009)
