2006 Futo Oakville Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Futo Oakville Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Futo (75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot) exhibits a deep ruby/blue/purple color, a flawless integration of tannin, acidity, wood, and alcohol, and gorgeous opulence. While Futo is situated on western hillsides overlooking Oakville, it displays a style that has more in common with the purity and elegance found in Screaming Eagle, which is a few miles to the east, on the valley floor. This beautiful 2006 is a resounding success for this vintage, which had some issues with rustic tannins. It should drink well for 15+ years. This new, tiny operation, with a beautiful vineyard overseen by David Abreu, and Mark Aubert making the wines, had its debut release in 2004, followed by a brilliant 2005." (12/2008)

2006 Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair Richebourg Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair Richebourg Grand Cru (94ST, 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Highly nuanced nose combines cassis, black cherry, violet and bitter chocolate. Dense, solid and sweet but with superb mineral cut giving the mid-palate a suave weightlessness. This very serious, soil-driven grand cru really saturates the palate with black and blue fruit flavors and excites the taste buds on the very long finish. The tannins are wonderfully broad." 2006 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (93BH, 93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " I have loved this wine the two or three times I have tasted it and this is easily the best bottle I have encountered. The nose here is much more immediate, with a stunning mineral nose, hints of brioche coming through like last time, but with even more precision and focus, flinty scents developing with time. The palate is clean, tense and refined with hazelnut and quince, a weightlessness and poise that is quite hypnotic. This is one of my favorite white Burgundy wines, and this 2006 is impressive. Excellent. Drink now-2022. (NM)" (06/2014)

2006 Bernard Dugat-Py Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Bernard Dugat-Py Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru (95BH, 94RP, (92-94ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Deeply colored. A completely different expression compared to the Charmes as here the nose is very gamy with notes of underbrush, leather, spice, smoke and dark berry fruit that is in keeping with the intensely earthy, textured, pure and serious sleekly muscled flavors that are powerful and more obviously structured if also slightly rustic and animale in character while finishing with moderate austerity. This offers a distinctly different personality and trades the greater refinement of the Charmes for more size and weight. A qualitative choice of two wines with very different personalities." Bid on this bottle of 2006 Turley "Dusi" Paso Robles Zinfandel ((91-93RP), 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Zinfandel Dusi Vineyard, another Paso Robles site, is a whopper at 16.4% alcohol, but has terrific fruit, slightly caramelized Amarone-like licorice, tar, and blackberry fruit, with decent acidity and a full-bodied mouthfeel with high glycerin." 2006 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is big, dark and juicy. There is an element of wildness that runs through the wine. Graphite, licorice, tar and smoke are just some of the nuances that add complexity. The 2006 boasts superb purity from start to finish. Elements of fleshiness give the impression the 2006 might drink well relatively early, until the massive tannins set in. Floral notes add freshness on the finish. This is another fabulous wine from Randy Dunn. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2036. (AG)" (12/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Descendientes de Jose Palacios "La Faraona" Corullon Bierzo (95ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium red. Intensely perfumed bouquet of spicy red berries, potpourri and minerals. Nervy redcurrant and wild strawberry flavors pack solid punch but are almost eerily weightless, with silky texture and no obvious tannins. Finishes sweet and precise, with the strawberry note joined by vivid mineral and floral qualities. Talk about graceful; and I'll bet that this has more in the tank. Wow! " (09/2008)

2006 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru (95RP, 95WE, 91ST, 90BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Musky floral notes suggesting narcissus, magnolia, and perhaps some sort of exotic orchid mingle in the nose of Drouhin's 2006 Musigny with quinine, birch beer, and kirsch. The palate boasts remarkable richness and sheer viscosity for the vintage – though little superficial sweetness – along with textural refinement that goes beyond even the best of the rest of this year's Drouhin collection. Fruit pit bitterness; brown spices; roasting pan reduction of meat and fat; and an almost palpable sense of chalky and ore-like minerality add to the mystery and invigoration of a vibratory finish. This tastes awfully delicious today, though it should probably be given a few years in bottle. It ought to perform marvelously for at least a decade. (DS)" (12/2009)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Maison Nicolas Potel Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Gaudichots" ((91-93BH), (90-93ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. This conveys strong minerality but is very tight today. Finishes with a solid tannic structure." (04/2008)

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2006 Michel Colin-Deleger Puligny-Montrachet "Demoiselles" (1.5L) (93BH, 91ST). This is a really impressive vintage for this wine and it goes toe to toe with the Chevy and does not suffer in the comparison." (07/2008)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru (94BH, 93RP, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "**Outstanding** A more deeply pitched, riper and notably more complex nose that is restrained, cool and positively gorgeous as seemingly all of the spicy elements it projects are perfectly reflected by the textured, concentrated and naturally sweet big-bodied flavors brimming with minerality and buckets of extract that render the firm tannic spine almost invisible on the direct, frank and driving finish that is almost painfully intense and where the floral character of the nose resurfaces. A flat out brilliant wine for this level and best that de Vogüé has ever made." (01/2009)

The 2006 Grenache Blewitt Springs is a bit more reticent aromatically but several years of additional cellaring should alleviate that problem. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Etienne Sauzet Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (95BH, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "**Don't Miss!** In contrast to the expressiveness of the Bienvenues, this is aromatically quite closed and tight with only glimpses of orchard fruit, citrus and floral notes discernable though the big-bodied and obviously well-muscled flavors are rich, pure and balanced if perhaps not quite as concentrated but somewhat curious, are even finer, which is not the usual result when these two wines are compared. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (95RP, 94ST, 93JS, 93WS, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "95+ points. The 2006 is a wine to stockpile, especially for those in their thirties and forties as it needs another decade to reach maturity, after which it should keep for 30+ years. This vineyard, just south of Mouton Rothschild, has produced an opaque bluish/purple-colored 2006 with an extraordinarily pure nose of graphite, charcoal, sweet creme de cassis, and a hint of scorched earth. Incredible concentration, stunning richness, and a 60-second finish result in a wine that transcends the vintage as well as this estate’s 1855 classification. The wine spent 18 months in small and large French and American oak. Dark ruby colored, it offers a fragrant, already complex bouquet of violets, mineral, Asian spices, leather, black cherry, and blueberry. Remarkably elegant and impeccably balanced, on the palate notes of garrigue, licorice, and kirsch emerge leading into a 60+-second finish. It can be enjoyed now but for optimum pleasure, give it another five years of cellaring and drink it through 2026. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape is one of the two or three candidates for the wine of the vintage. An extraordinarily great wine, the 2006 is far superior to the 2005, which was amazing, and while made in a different style, is as great as the 2003, and such legends as 1990 and 1978. Fashioned from a minuscule 21 hectoliters per hectare, and tipping the scales at 15.2% natural alcohol, the 2006 boasts a dense ruby/purple color to the rim, in addition to an extraordinary bouquet of melted licorice, spring flowers, raspberries, black currants, spice box, and earth. In the mouth, it is utterly profound – full-bodied and multidimensional with astonishing purity, length, equilibrium, and intensity. This is a superb vintage for the Avrils, and Vincent deserves huge accolades for producing a wine of such incredible intensity and complexity. Think of Clos des Papes as a Chateaune

I can’t say I underrated this wine, but, boy, it is pushing perfection ... and pushing it quickly. A nearly flawless, monumental effort, the 2006 boasts an extraordinary opaque purple color as well as a sumptuous bouquet of spring flowers, licorice, chocolate, toffee, espresso roast and blackberries. This multilayered wine is built like a skyscraper, with terrific intensity, but no heaviness, stunning richness, full body and great purity. With a youthful, voluptuous mouthfeel, it can be drunk now for its extraordinary purity of fruit, but it will not hit its prime for at least a decade. It should keep for three decades. (RP)"

I find it interesting that this is a bit less structured than a number of the grands crus in the range as this is normally among the most age worthy wines here, not that this is exactly a shrinking violet. Drink 2018+" (01/2008)

2006 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia"
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" (97JS, 97RP, 97WE, 95WS). James Suckling: "This is complex and fascinating. At first taste it is like a great California Cabernet mixed with a first growth Bordeaux. Delicious licorice, mint, and currants on the palate. Full bodied, chewy, with ultra fine tannins. A gorgeous, classy wine that needs to be left in the cellar for at least 5 years. Have fun with this one after 2015."

2006 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Red Wine
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Red Wine (95RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon displays beautifully sweet blue and black fruits intermixed with espresso roast, smoked meats, chocolate, and scorched earth. Dense purple in color, deep, rich, broad, with plenty of tannin and concentration as well as noticeable oak, this wine is a massive Cabernet meant for long-term cellaring. I wouldn’t touch a bottle for 6 to 8 years, then watch it unfold over the following 25-30. (RP)"

2006 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (93RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Chardonnay The Judge is one of the vintage’s more compelling examples of this varietal. Like its siblings, it is aged 22 months in French oak (mostly new), and is bottled with no clarification. The Judge represents a selection of the finest barrels and is an homage to Kongsgaard’s father. It exhibits more white peach, pineapple, and tropical fruit characteristics as well as a steely minerality, full body, and more power than the regular cuvee."

2006 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 97WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Syrah Reva, coming from parcels of dark, volcanic soil, has off-the-chart richness and intensity. This thick, opaque-purple colored wine offers up notes of scorched earth, ground pepper, and blackberry liqueur intermixed with cassis, licorice, camphor, and tar. The wine is spectacular in every sense. Full-bodied and certainly not for wimps, this is a remarkably concentrated yet very nuanced and intense wine that should age for 20 more years."

2006 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Proprietary Red (95RP, 93ST, 92CG, 90WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 7,000 cases of the prodigious 2006 Proprietary Red Wine (a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec). Most of the fruit comes from the Stagecoach Vineyard and the Waters Ranch. Sweet, smoky, meaty aromas interwoven with melted asphalt, camphor, blackberry, cassis, and charcoal scents emerge from the complex aromatics. In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied, displaying sweet tannin, a concentrated mouthfeel, and a long, heady finish with substantial fruit, glycerin, and extract. It should drink beautifully for 20+ years. (RP)"

2006 Plumpjack "Reserve" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Plumpjack "Reserve" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Estate (only 530 cases produced) is a brilliant, but backward cuvee. Deeper, fuller-bodied, and even more stacked and packed than the Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals graphite, blueberry, blackberry, and cassis notes in its rich, full, tannic, pure personality. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025. (RP)" (12/2008)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Clarendon Hills "Romas" Grenache Clarendon South Australia (OWC - 99RP, 96JH, 94ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet-purple in color and displaying a beautiful nose of violets, orange peel and black cherries alongside notes of spice cake, white pepper and lavender, the full-bodied 2006 Romas Vineyard Grenache is big, rich and gorgeous with a crisp acid backbone draped with layer upon layer of concentrated fruit flavor. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 l'Evangile, Pomerol (OWC - 93RP, 92ST, 92WE, 90WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sexy, dark ruby/purple-tinged 2006 l’Evangile achieved 14% natural alcohol, as high as any of the great vintages at this estate. Abundant amounts of dark raspberry and black cherry fruit intertwined with sweet plums and hints of figs as well as spring flowers jump from the glass of this medium to full-bodied, fleshy, supple-textured, silky wine. Drink it now or cellar it for 15-20 years." (02/2009)

2006 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Preuses" (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Preuses" (OWC - 94BH, (93-94RP), 92ST, 90WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Fevre owns or controls nearly one quarter of the acreage in Preuses. Their 2006 Chablis Preuses marries fruit from a southeast-facing parcel just above the Cote de Bouguerots and conducive to 'cool' fruit and overt minerality, with a southwest-facing parcel inherently inclined toward richness that was harvested at hugely high ripeness even before this year’s ban de vendange. From its aroma through its impressively dense and expansive palate display, through its lingering finish, this sensually extravagant expression of Preuses (in a manner distinctly reminiscent of Vincent Dauvissat’s) is totally suffused with the savory salinity and sweetness of shrimp and lobster shell reduction. White peach and lime occupy a discreet position, iris and lily a more prominent one, wafting alluringly throughout. This silken-textured

2006 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri
Bid on this bottle of 2006 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (97RP, 95JS, 95ST, 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Sassicaia may very well go down as one of the all-time great recent vintages for this Tuscan thoroughbred. The year started off very warm but by August evening temperatures had moderated, leaving the fruit with a stunning combination of ripeness, perfume, acidity and tannin. The wine is simply glorious, that’s all there is to it. Layers of dark fruit meld into smoke, leather, violets, menthol, earthiness and tar as this profound wine opens up in the glass. The creamy, silky finish lasts an eternity, as waves of fruit caress the tannins with breathtaking elegance. Everything is in the right place in this magical Sassicaia. This is one for the ages. In a word: Awesome. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2031. (AG)"
