94 points James Suckling: "An subtle nose with plenty of fine autolysis aromas of fresh bread and sweetly fragrant yeasty notes, plus some gentle spice and chalky notes. The palate unleashes beautiful wild strawberry fruit flavors, super fresh, fleshy and pure. Great balance and depth. Drink now." (7/2015) 92 points Vinous: "Pale orange. High-pitched red berry, orange zest and jasmine aromas, with suave mineral and smoky lees notes adding complexity. Spicy and precise on the palate, showing very good punch to its strawberry and bitter cherry flavors. Opens up smoothly with air and picks up a bitter rh ...Read More »
Vinous: "Light gold. Fresh melon, orange and peach on the fruity nose and in the mouth. Supple and broad on the palate, showing a hint of warmth on the back half. In an easygoing style, finishig with gentle cut and good length. (JR)" (1/2015) Wine Enthusiast: "With a high proportion of Pinot Meunier in the blend, this is ripe, warm and accessible. Fresh apple and ripe pear flavors are cut by grapefruit acidity. The texture is soft, ripe and very ready to drink. 93 points James Suckling: "I drink this regularly and always enjoy it. Wonderful aromas of light dough, fresh flowers, and sliced pears and peaches. Full-bodied yet agile and fresh, it shows layers of marvelous light tropical fruit and cream with hints of dough on the finish. Mostly 2011 with some reserve wines. From 47% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and the rest Pinot Noir. Bottled April 2012." (9/2014) 91 points Wine & Spirits: "This is a graceful, vinous Champagne with dramatic high notes of roses and red fruit, finishing clean with a grounding of pale earthiness. It’s a lovely prediction of what Champagne ...Read More »
90 points James Suckling: "This is a bold style of NV with plenty of deep-set aromatic complexity - think toasted almond, citrus blossom, honey and dried spices. The palate has fleshy depth and drive with bold stone fruit flesh and a rich phenolic presence to anchor the finish. Richness ahead of subtlety." (7/2015) 90 points Wine Spectator: "Lively acidity creates a lip-smacking frame for the flavors of Anjou pear, smoke, preserved lemon and white raspberry in this minerally Champagne. (AN)" (12/2015) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The VC brand ambassador, the NV Brut Yellow Label (an assemblage of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Meun ...Read More »
Moet & Chandon introduces Moet Ice Imperial, the world's first ever Champagne created to be enjoyed over ice. This is a blend developed from the house's signature crus, to intensify the taste experience of icy freshness and powerful aromas of tropical fruits. Made to be enjoyed in the daytime, Moet Ice Imperial offers a unique experience for spontaneous moments of celebrations with friends on a sunny day.
Champagne always tastes better out of magnum. Paul-Vincent Ariston says that his 25-year-old vines reflect the vintage, but the Prestige, made from vines averaging 60 years, reflect his terroir. He feels that putting a vintage date on this wine would be an insult to his best vineyard plots. This vineyard was destroyed by hail in 2002, so this is the last we'll ever see of the old vines. It is composed of 50% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir and 25% Meunier. This was one of the best bottles from my 2010 trip, and we drank two just to make sure! It has fantastic... Read More »
90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright orange-pink. Sexy floral lift to the aromas of red berries, blood orange and buttered toast. Spicy and pliant on the palate, offering ripe raspberry and tangerine flavors sharpened by juicy acidity. Mineral and lees notes build slowly on the clinging, spicy finish, which leaves bitter berry skin and floral nuances behind." (1/2015) 90 points Wine Spectator: "A superfine mousse heralds this elegant, vibrant rosé. Vanilla accents, with berry and spice flavors. Glides to a firm finish. Terrific balance and integration. Drink now." (12/2006) Jancis Robinson: "Bright almost red colour. Strawberries ...Read More »

93 points Wine Spectator: "This deftly woven Champagne is all about finesse, offering a rich vein of smoky minerality and vivid acidity. The power is cloaked in a silky texture and notes of creamed pear, lemon confit, almond biscotti and fresh ginger. Drink now through 2021." (12/2014) 92 points James Suckling: "A very appealing style that captures the elegance of chardonnay in a way that is still immensely satisfying. The aromas are all based around lemon, grapefruit, fresh floral notes and stone fruits. The palate delivers a ripe impression, flavorsome and full, with peach custard and lemon brulée. Acidity ...Read More »
90 points Wine Spectator: "Firm and chalky, this lively Champagne layers black currant, biscuit, lemon zest and grated ginger notes on an open-knit, fresh frame. (AN) (Web Only-2015)" Vinous: "Light yellow-gold. Pungent aromas of orange pith, dried apple and toasty lees, with a hint of chamomile in the background. Fleshy and broad on entry, then tighter in the middle, offering bitter pear skin and quinine flavors and a touch of blood orange. Finishes with good grip and cut, leaving a subtle smoky note behind. (JR)" (1/2015) Wine Enthusiast: "With some good maturity, this is a rich, fruity Champagne. It comes fr ...Read More »
92 points James Suckling: "Beautifully composed reduction across lemon citrus, white peach, cherries and deeper, more savory notes of spice and grilled nuts; fresh and complex at once. The palate's assertively flavored, yet runs on a smooth and fine textural thread. Acidity is paramount, redder fruits hold court here. Great balance and depth. Drink now." (7/2015) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "To judge by the cork, this bottling has some age, giving it a toasty as well as fruity character that adds complexity to this baked-apple and citrus-flavored wine. It also means that it needs no further aging and is delicio ...Read More »
93 points Wine Spectator: "Aromatic, with accents of bread dough, smoked almond and crème de cassis, this creamy Champagne is lightly chalky in texture and framed by firm acidity, with flavors of glazed apricot, orange blossom and rich hints of clover honey and coffee liqueur. Drink now through 2022." (11/2015) 92 points James Suckling: "A Champagne in good form, the nose has a playful contradictory nature with complexity that comes from deep within the DNA cast against some very fresh notes - lime citrus, lime leaf, lemon, nectarine, white cherry and deeper more brambly red fruits, plus gentle spices and fre ...Read More »
Roger Voss' selection of the best grower-producers of Champagne: "Michel Arnould & Fils has 30 acres based around Verzenay on the Montagne de Reims. Pinot Noir dominates his production, of which the best are the Cuvée Carte d’Or and Grande Cuvée."
The Aristons vineyards are vastly different than the other blanc de blancs producers that we carry. The steeper slopes, less chalk, and more fossils in the soil of Brouillet make for a rich, creamy style Chardonnay Champagne that will appeal to just about anyone. This is one of my favorite toasting Champagnes, all of the flavors are up front, it is open-knit and fun. It is a perfect way to start a party. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne Buyer)
91 points Wine Spectator: "Elegant and finely knit, this vibrant Champagne is framed by racy acidity that enlivens the flavors of ripe boysenberry, lemon zest, brioche and chopped hazelnut. Spice and chalk notes linger on the finish." (10/2015) 90 points Wine & Spirits: "This wine’s fresh fruit and firm structure match bright lemon zest flavors with limestone severity. The fine bubbles add to the clean sensation of the finish. It’s spicy, tight and formidable, a wine to kick-start a dinner party." (12/2015) 90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Fresh and crisp, this is bright with acidity as well as warmer fruitiness. It brings out the dry Laurent- ...Read More »
92 points James Suckling: "A trademark nose with plenty of savory elements in the wood; nutty pinot noir realm, attractive red-fruited freshness, plus some grilled nuts too. The palate has a bold heart of gently spicy, peppery red fruit flavor delivered confidently right throughout." (7/2015) 91 points Wine Spectator: "A balanced rosé framed by mouthwatering acidity, with a lively bead and hints of smoke and saline accenting the dried strawberry, lemon meringue pie and kumquat notes. Zesty finish. (AN, Web-2015)" 90 points Wine & Spirits: "Based on the same blend as Yellow Label with 12 percent pinot noir added, this is round, creamy and ...Read More »
90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A relatively deeply pitched nose that is heavy on the yeast with light notes of strawberry and raspberry and introduces rich, full and complex flavors that offer plenty of depth in a more rounded style on the crisp and dry but not racy finish. This will best please those who want a fuller style Champagne that is basically ready to drink now even though it could easily be enjoyably held for a few years. Good quality here." (10/2007) K&L Notes: This is a real deal Champagne from Courteron, a village in the Aube department of Champagne, closer to Chablis than the city o... Read More »
96 points James Suckling: "A very complex nose here with ripe, deep lemon and grapefruit aromas on offer plus some restrained chalky elements, biscuit, some roasting herbs, hints of pepper, then a little tobacco too. Very complex and full of fresh characters. The palate has a wealth of different fruit flavors like lemon, peach, nectarine, and plums. The finesse in terms of structure, detail and precision is staggering; sherbet-like elegance with immense concentration and power. A great Grande Cuvée. Incredibly satisfying." Wine Enthusiast: "This is the main nonvintage wine from this southern Champagne Aube-based producer. It's a cuvée based around the producer's specialty of Pinot Noir. With fresh acidity over rich white fruits, apples and pears, it is balanced, fragrant and ready to drink. (RV)" (9/2015) Wine Spectator: "A smoky undertow and a tangy palate of kumquat, melon and lemon curd. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 5,980 cases made. (Web Only-2015) (AN)"
Whether played by Connery or Craig, one thing about Bond stays the same: the Queen's top spy is always sipping Bollinger. And for good reason. Sourced exclusively from grand cru sites, the 2009 is refined and complex--much like the man himself. Tasting notes from the winery: "White flowers, citrus fruit, delicately stewed pear with hints of vanilla, toasted aromas, hazelnut and breadcrumbs. The wine shows a good maturity yet remains quite brisk and lively. We move through candied fruit, mirabelle plum, quince paste and honey with a finish that reminds us... Read More »
A 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from 13 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyards. From the winery: "Very complex with a lot of aromas of ripe, fleshy fruits like apricot. You will appreciate its brioche and its subtle woody flavors. Fine expression and subtly nuanced."
96 points Wine Enthusiast: "***Top Cellar Selections of 2013*** While 2007 was not the greatest vintage, Roederer managed to produce one of the best wines of the year. It is a great blend of mature yellow fruits, with a pure line of tangy orange zest. Tightly txtured, with bright acidity and steely minerality, it promises long aging. Drink until 2025, and possibly longer. (RV)" (12/2013) 95 points Wine & Spirits: "Roederer’s exceptional farming comes through in 2007, ripening the fruit for this wine toward yellow apple, feeling fresh and persistent with a luscious, creamy intensity. Notes of cedar and linden ...Read More »
Wine Spectator: "A firm, elegant style, this reveals floral, dough and candied berry notes. Harmonious, ending with a refreshing crispness. (BS)" (12/2006)
97 points James Suckling: "Deep Pinot-driven presence is the first and lasting impression. Power with control. Superfine bead, bread and spiced biscuits, candied ripe red fruits and a sense of tight-knit complexity. Some grapefruit, lemon pith & gently flinty notes too - impressive nose. In the mouth it is rich, powerful, mouth-filling and flavorsome with a core of the same biscuity red fruit flavor, savory nutty notes and a wrap of assertive, persistent acidity that holds rich powerful flavor deep and focused whilst maintaining a polished, gently creamy texture. Champagne always tastes better from magnum! This all-estate grown Champagne is 100% Meunier from the village of Festigny. Unlike many "Reserve" designation Champagnes, this lives up to its name with half of the wine coming from old reserves. It is quite round, with a wonderful pie crust and spice nose, with some hints of exotic fruit in the flavor. This is medium to full bodied Champagne and makes great drinking on its own as well as being fantastic with pates of all sorts. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)
2002 Moet & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2002 Moet & Chandon "Cuvée Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (1.5L) (98VN, 96W&S, 95RP, 95WS). Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon speaks to opulence and intensity. Rich, layered and voluptuous in the glass, the 2002 shows off its flamboyant personality with flair. Butter, cooked apple and tropically-leaning fruits mesh together effortlessly. Interestingly, with time in the glass the 2002 gains in freshness and energy without losing its essential opulence. The elevated ripeness of the year gives the 2002 Dom Pérignon distinctly Puligny-Montrachet leaning inflections. Chef de Caves Richard Geoffroy adds that August that year was hot and very dry. Rain towards the end of the month and into early September freshened the vines and accelerated the final phase of ripening. This is yet another fabulous showing from the 2002, which continues to cement its reputation as a truly epic Dom Pérignon. (AG)" (10/2015)

The palate's assertive and fully formed, really expands as it moves, delivering bright red berry and ripe peach and nectarine flavors. There's a little spicy twist through the finish. An expressive style made to drink now." Mr. Brulez sells two-thirds of his grapes, and keeps the best third to make only vintage Champagne. He is the chairman of the Dijon University Alumni Association, and looks more to Burgundy than to Reims for the inspiration for his wines. There is not much more festive than a magnum of Vintage Champagne. The fact that this is meticulously crafted makes it a particularly fun addition on your holiday gatherings!
95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Light, bright orange-pink. Heady mineral- and yeast-accented aromas of dried red berries, blood orange, buttered toast and tea rose. Densely packed and expansive on the palate, offering intense raspberry, cherry compote and floral pastille flavors and a smoky overtone that gains strength with aeration. The mineral quality comes back strong on the silky, focused finish, which goes on and on. An outstanding blend of power and finesse. These magnums are only available on a special order basis- and will be disgorged fresh for you in Reims before being shipped to K&L. The 1988 Lanson Vintage Collection Brut Champagne is a spectacular magnum, from one of my very favorite vintages for drinking right now. This is one of the last "classic" Champagne vintages with a nice, long, even growing season. This wine only showed the slightest tinge of gold in its straw color after 25 years. The nose is developing the white truffle aromas that only time can bring, framed by the savory Pinot Noir charac... Read More »
97 points James Suckling: "I believe that the 2005 DP is the best since 2002, which remains the best recent vintage and is probably only eclipsed by the amazing 100-point 1996. The 2005 is a full-bodied DP with so much richness and loads of ripe fruit such as pineapple and papaya. It has a wonderful, creamy texture and a long and intense finish. It’s a Champagne that fully satisfies but at the same time challenges you with its strength, depth and persistence on the palate." (4/2015) 95 points Wine Enthusiast: "With some age, this is a gloriously ripe and toasty wine. It has a rich character emphasized by the r ...Read More »
